Cotton Tails at Hagley provides nursery care and learning for children in a secure, high quality environment. The nursery consists of four age-appropriate rooms and a specially designed outdoor area where children are encouraged to explore and be active every day.

The nursery’s baby room provides a homely environment for a range of activities, where staff endeavour to foster physical development and early communication through the use of Makaton. The tinie room is a second under twos area focusing on supporting the children as they develop from babies into independent toddlers.

Children in the nursery room are encouraged to learn through play, and staff focus on extending language and vocabulary skills as well as social and emotional skills. The school room is for the oldest children and strives to foster independence to prepare them for compulsory education. Activities at Cotton Tails follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as set out by the Government.

Nappies and food (lunch, tea and snacks) are provided by the nursery, but parents are asked to provide their own formula milk for babies.

We couldn't be happier with the care and dedication shown by the staff at Cotton Tails at Hagley. Every single member of the team is incredibly invested in the children's development and happiness, and it's clear they go above and beyond every day. They create such a warm and nurturing environment where
children thrive. It's an absolute pleasure to send our child here, knowing they're in such capable and caring hands. We've seen so much progress and joy in our child, and it's all thanks to the amazing work of the staff. Highly recommend.

We are very happy with Cotton Tails, and feel at ease leaving our daughter there. Our daughter has been thriving since attending Cotton Tails, and she is excited to go into nursery each day. The staff are all friendly, and the nursery go above and beyond with events such as open evenings.

My little boy has attended Cotton Tails at Hagley for around 18 months now and I couldn't have picked a nicer childcare setting. Educationally, he has learnt loads and the setting has really helped with his language and socialising skills. The activities that they do with the children are excellent
and all the staff are really caring and supportive. I look forward to seeing how much more he will thrive there before he starts kindergarten and school.

We love Cotton Tails at Hagley! Our daughter started when she was 1 and has worked her way through all the rooms. She’s now in School Room which has been fantastic at preparing her to start school. Her confidence has come on so much and the support of the staff has just been incredible. She has always
been so excited every day to come and play with her friends. The activities that are planned for them including the trips out, the meals, the learning, everything has been amazing. The staff support has been second to none - always so friendly greeting us when we arrive and leave and always great with communicating to parents. Our daughter will really, really miss everyone when it’s time to start school. I wouldn’t hesitate to send any future children we have here!

My daughter is currently at Cotton Tails at Hagley Day Nursery and has been looked after by the manager and the team for over a year now. Our daughter has never once gotten upset when we drop her off and that is testament to the environment created at the nursery, the compassion and care shown by every

Cotton Tails Day Nursery and all of the staff we've met along the way have been phenomenal.
They always take the time out of their day to chat things through with us if we have any worries or concerns. We have constant updates on our little boy and feel he has progressed in every way since attending

My 3-year-old child has been attending since 13 months old and has loved every room they have been in. All the children and staff are lovely. They encourage healthy eating and lifestyle both at nursery and for families to participate at home. Now my child is in the last year they are encouraging independence.
My child's confidence has grown and they have lots of friends and are socially advanced for their age due to the environment at the nursery. Now in the school room, they're teaching the skills as part of the early years' curriculum.

My daughter has been with Cotton Tails at Hagley Day Nursery since April 2022, the nursery has been outstanding since she has been with them.
My daughter settled in straight away with no issues and to see her face light up when she sees her nursery speaks for itself.

My son has been attending nursery for four months now and he absolutely loves it, I believe this is down to the really lovely staff.
The staff who look after him are a shining example of happy, friendly, approachable staff and are a credit to the nursery.

We absolutely love Cotton Tails Day Nursery. Our daughter has been there since she was 10 months old and absolutely loves it. She has thrived there and now she is 2 we know just how happy she is too. Job Title: Nursery Manager

Hi my name is Beth; I have worked for Cotton Tails Ltd since 2003. I began my journey into childcare at the age of 16. When I left school I wanted to work with children but I knew going to college full time was not the right path for me. I took a chance and wrote a letter to Happy Days - Quinton asking if they had a position for an Apprentice. They accepted my letter and offered me an interview, my luck was in and I was offered the job!


Being my first job I was a little nervous but after my first day I knew I had made the right decision and couldn’t wait to get back there. During this time, I gained so much knowledge and achieved so much experience. After I completed my NVQ2 I went to work at our sister nursery Cotton Tails – Northfield where I became a Room Leader for the School Room. Whilst working there I gained my NVQ3 and also more experience in higher roles such as Nursery Senior. In 2009 I became Deputy Manager, this was a great opportunity for me and helped me progress to where I am today. During my time at Cotton Tails - Northfield I was part of two OFSTED inspections and the team worked together to achieve ‘Outstanding’ both times.


In 2016 Cotton Tails at Hagley opened and I was transferred here to become Manger, and have also gained my NVQ3 in Management. This is an exciting challenge for me as I get to work with a new team of people, and be part of an incredible adventure, seeing the company grow. Over the years I have got to meet many amazing children and have been rewarded by watching their personalities grow from being young babies to big children ready for their next chapter at ‘Big School’.
