Cotton Tails at Hagley provides nursery care and learning for children in a secure, high quality environment. The nursery consists of four age-appropriate rooms and a specially designed outdoor area where children are encouraged to explore and be active every day.

The nursery’s baby room provides a homely environment for a range of activities, where staff endeavour to foster physical development and early communication through the use of Makaton. The tinie room is a second under twos area focusing on supporting the children as they develop from babies into independent toddlers.

Children in the nursery room are encouraged to learn through play, and staff focus on extending language and vocabulary skills as well as social and emotional skills. The school room is for the oldest children and strives to foster independence to prepare them for compulsory education. Activities at Cotton Tails follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as set out by the Government.

Nappies and food (lunch, tea and snacks) are provided by the nursery, but parents are asked to provide their own formula milk for babies.

Excellent staff who work really hard to make the days enjoyable for the children. Good knowledge of children's likes and dislikes and children enjoy the trips and walks they have been on recently. Help to get children ready for school and thrive in day-to-day life.

Our daughter has been at Cotton Tails Day Nursery since she was 1 year old and we plan for her to stay there until school. There is a lovely vibe about the nursery - with all staff being friendly, warm, interested and well informed about our daughter. I strongly believe that the tone is set by the nursery
manager who we have always found professional whilst approachable, accommodating, helpful and very friendly.

The staff are lovely and my little girl loves it. She always comes away smiling and happy. It's got even better recently as in the nursery room they have started going on little walks to the library or to look at the seasons and it's just so nice to know they make the effort to get the children out
and about and mix things up for them. Great setting.

My daughter has been at Cotton Tails at Hagley since September 2020 and I cannot praise the staff there enough. As soon as my husband and I stepped into Cotton Tails we knew it was the nursery for us. The pride taken in the appearance of the nursery and the activities the children are doing is clear,
the care and warmth for all the children was really obvious and we have no regrets. Our daughter had no problem settling into nursery and she adores going, her beaming smile every time she sees the staff reassures me that this was absolutely the right choice. Thank you for everything you are doing during these challenging and uncertain times and for making our daughter one happy and confident little lady.

Cotton Tails at Hagley is fantastic. As a first-time mother, I could not be any more satisfied with the nursery. I always see it as how the children respond, my son speaks about his teachers all the time, and wants to play with them. His learning skills have developed massively. He had an issue with
not eating various foods, but the nursery have helped him. Everything with Covid and all the changes, they have adapted quickly and kept all parents in the loop about everything.
The handovers are brilliant, and the level of information on Tapestry also is very good.
When I was first applying for my son to go to the nursery, the communication was very quick and efficient over any other nursery I applied for. The manager is extremely efficient.
This nursery is like a second family for my son. I have complete faith in the nursery, and now have a hard time whether I want my child to go to preschool, or continue on here at Cotton Tails for the school room, because he loves it so much!

Fantastic Nursery!
Both of my children have attended this nursery and I cannot thank or praise the staff enough. I feel Cotton Tails at Hagley mangers and staff have dealt with Covid-19 in a very safe and professional manner in these difficult times. Both of my children have loved going to this nursery.
Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic staff, always go the extra mile with the children and update regularly on how the children are doing throughout their day. Lovely setting and environment for the children. Only a small outdoor area but this has been made very accessible and fun for the children.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. My 3-year-old son has attended Cotton Tails at Hagley from 9 months old and my newborn is due to join later this year. The staff are outstanding and extremely approachable. They constantly go above and beyond and as well as educationally challenging my son. They
provide him with love, nurture and encourage him to develop his independence.
Parents are constantly kept in contact with how their children are developing and a partnership is encouraged with our views and opinions regularly being sought.
The environment is spotless, bright and incredibly well cared for and the range of activities provided are exceptional. My child loves attending and I could not imagine him being given a better start anywhere else.

My daughter, now 3, has been going to Cotton Tails since she was 6 months old and loves it. We chose this nursery due to the clean feel and safe spaces inside and outside which were especially important with her being so young. We have sent our 2 children to this nursery. Even though it is relatively new, it has good leadership and a motivated team. Our kids feel safe and happy there. The building is fresh, clean and well equipt. We think our children will feel more ready for school having had such a supportive nursery environment.

Hi,
When we were first looking for a nursery, we were overwhelmed with the choices and options. From the very first visit we just had a feeling that our kids would be well looked after at Cotton Tails at Hagley and that they’d be happy there.

Such a friendly, caring and safe environment for my son. The nursery is so clean and bright I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted my son to go there. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. My son loves it here, they do so much with the children. 5-star nursery.

Staff were amazing, my son was very clingy to me and I was worried about him adjusting to nursery. I returned back to work very comfortable knowing he was in great hands. He settled into nursery so well. The staff really looked after him well. He loves it there.

Our 3-year-old daughter has been attending Cotton Tails in Hagley since she was 12 weeks old. Now her 15-week old brother has just started and we could be more relaxed that he’s in such great care and expert company. The innovative craft and activities keep our little ones engaged, excited and educated.
The team here are truly amazing and have been outstanding in the care they provide.

My child graduated from this nursery in July and I cannot praise the company and it’s amazing staff enough. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and my child really enjoyed her time there. The building is always clean and tidy. The activities set up are always enjoyable and engaging, my daughter
was always coming home full of excitement. I loved how they took the children on trips and provided them with lots of new experiences.

Our little one started at Cotton Tails when he was just 11 months old. 18 months on, we’re still just as happy leaving our boy with them.
He loves it there, from all his lovely little friends to his wonderful key-worker and the rest of the girls.
We have recently moved area and toyed with the idea
of changing nursery due to location, however, we found there wasn’t a nursery that was a patch on Cotton Tails.
I truly believe he wouldn’t have the speech and be as advanced as he is without these wonderful lot.
Highly recommend them.

Wonderful, professional and friendly nursery, I would even call it a home from home. After struggling with my daughter being upset when left at a previous nursery, I thought I’d try Cotton Tails out. Even the first day that I left my daughter, there wasn’t a tear in sight! She loved to go every day
and all of the staff showed nothing but professionalism, love and care for her. I couldn’t recommend Cotton Tails enough. The settings are also beautifully clean, modern and colourful, a perfect environment for children to begin their learning journey! Thank you Cotton Tails! You will forever have a place in our hearts!

Hi my name is Beth; I have worked for Cotton Tails Ltd since 2003. I began my journey into childcare at the age of 16. When I left school I wanted to work with children but I knew going to college full time was not the right path for me. I took a chance and wrote a letter to Happy Days - Quinton asking if they had a position for an Apprentice. They accepted my letter and offered me an interview, my luck was in and I was offered the job!


Being my first job I was a little nervous but after my first day I knew I had made the right decision and couldn’t wait to get back there. During this time, I gained so much knowledge and achieved so much experience. After I completed my NVQ2 I went to work at our sister nursery Cotton Tails – Northfield where I became a Room Leader for the School Room. Whilst working there I gained my NVQ3 and also more experience in higher roles such as Nursery Senior. In 2009 I became Deputy Manager, this was a great opportunity for me and helped me progress to where I am today. During my time at Cotton Tails - Northfield I was part of two OFSTED inspections and the team worked together to achieve ‘Outstanding’ both times.


In 2016 Cotton Tails at Hagley opened and I was transferred here to become Manger, and have also gained my NVQ3 in Management. This is an exciting challenge for me as I get to work with a new team of people, and be part of an incredible adventure, seeing the company grow. Over the years I have got to meet many amazing children and have been rewarded by watching their personalities grow from being young babies to big children ready for their next chapter at ‘Big School’.
