Cotton Tails at Hagley provides nursery care and learning for children in a secure, high quality environment. The nursery consists of four age-appropriate rooms and a specially designed outdoor area where children are encouraged to explore and be active every day.

The nursery’s baby room provides a homely environment for a range of activities, where staff endeavour to foster physical development and early communication through the use of Makaton. The tinie room is a second under twos area focusing on supporting the children as they develop from babies into independent toddlers.

Children in the nursery room are encouraged to learn through play, and staff focus on extending language and vocabulary skills as well as social and emotional skills. The school room is for the oldest children and strives to foster independence to prepare them for compulsory education. Activities at Cotton Tails follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as set out by the Government.

Nappies and food (lunch, tea and snacks) are provided by the nursery, but parents are asked to provide their own formula milk for babies.

This is a fabulous nursery with amazing staff that really care for the children and you know they are doing a fantastic job because my two children always love going and have a great time learning and making new friends.
Make sure you go and visit!

My daughter absolutely loves the nursery and the staff! She started when she was 7 months old and she is now 14 months old. At first, she found it a little difficult to settle, being so young- but the staff were so accommodating, supportive and helpful that within a couple of weeks, she had settled
in really well! The staff made me, as a new mum leaving her little one for the first time, feel at ease and reassured me that she would be fine- in which she was! I received very thorough feedback about her day and they were happy to answer any questions I had. I cannot praise the nursery enough! They provide great and stimulating activities and teach the children good etiquette and manners from such a young age! My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending the nursery and I’m very grateful to have found a place in which I feel my daughter is in the best care and so well looked after by such lovely members of staff!

So glad I made the decision to send my daughter to Cottontails Tails at Hagley. Choosing a nursery is one of the hardest things to do for parents as they need to be able to trust the people caring for the most precious thing in the world to them. Every parent wants the best for their child and I really
believe I have found that in Cotton Tails.
Leaving my daughter with such friendly, caring and loving staff really reassures me that my daughter is happy and well looked after while I’m at work.
The outdoor area has had lots of improvements since we first looked around the nursery about 6 months ago, my daughter loves the new music station and the mud kitchen too. Lots of sensory and learning opportunities!
Can’t even think of anything negative.

My little boy started Cotton Tails Hagley in August 2016, he really enjoys his days there and the nursery is really welcoming and the staff are superb. I have noticed his development since he started and the staff are really attentive in helping him in areas he needs extra support. An all round lovely
nursery.

My daughter started attending Cotton Tails at Hagley when it opened and I couldn't be more pleased with the nursery. The staff are fantastic and they look after my daughter wonderfully. She enjoys the day thoroughly and I can leave her in the morning feeling confident she will be cared for at high standard.

We relocated to Hagley and I needed to find a new nursery for our son who had been in his current nursery setting since he was 5-months old. I was immediately impressed with the manager who was friendly and knowledgeable. The staff have been wonderful in helping him to settle into his new setting,
nothing is too much trouble and they always have a smile on their face, and in turn, the children are happy and always well occupied with lots of activities and days out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cotton Tails at Hagley to prospective parents.

From the very first time I visited Cotton Tails at Hagley, I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable. Most importantly my daughter was made a fuss of. With the Nursery being purpose built the layout and equipment are all perfect. The staff are all lovely. So warm and caring. So much so my 2-year-old
names them as her best friends!
I won't hesitate to recommend the nursery. In fact, 2 of my close friends are already planning to send their babies.

My daughter has attended Cotton Tails at Hagley since August 2016 and she absolutely loves it.


All of the staff are wonderful, so friendly, approachable and caring to all of the children. I would most certainly recommend the nursery to all parents considering a setting for their child.


Since

being at nursery my daughter has come on so much in her development. Her speech and understanding astound me.


The bright, airy atmosphere within the nursery is so child friendly and welcoming. I always feel 100% comfortable leaving my daughter whilst I work, knowing she is cared for in such a fantastic setting.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Joined: 2003

Hi my name is Beth; I have worked for Cotton Tails Ltd since 2003. I began my journey into childcare at the age of 16. When I left school I wanted to work with children but I knew going to college full time was not the right path for me. I took a chance and wrote a letter to Happy Days - Quinton asking if they had a position for an Apprentice. They accepted my letter and offered me an interview, my luck was in and I was offered the job!


Being my first job I was a little nervous but after my first day I knew I had made the right decision and couldn’t wait to get back there. During this time, I gained so much knowledge and achieved so much experience. After I completed my NVQ2 I went to work at our sister nursery Cotton Tails – Northfield where I became a Room Leader for the School Room. Whilst working there I gained my NVQ3 and also more experience in higher roles such as Nursery Senior. In 2009 I became Deputy Manager, this was a great opportunity for me and helped me progress to where I am today. During my time at Cotton Tails - Northfield I was part of two OFSTED inspections and the team worked together to achieve ‘Outstanding’ both times.


In 2016 Cotton Tails at Hagley opened and I was transferred here to become Manger, and have also gained my NVQ3 in Management. This is an exciting challenge for me as I get to work with a new team of people, and be part of an incredible adventure, seeing the company grow. Over the years I have got to meet many amazing children and have been rewarded by watching their personalities grow from being young babies to big children ready for their next chapter at ‘Big School’.
