Treetops Pre-school, Duncombe School

Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is led by Katie Copeman, who has over 15 years’ teaching experience.

Katie has a dedicated and experienced team of qualified staff, many of whom have been with Treetops Pre-School for over 10 years.

Katie says, ‘Learning at Treetops Pre-school is child centred, exciting and brought to life through first hand experiences. The children’s days are packed with fun activities and lessons.

A young child’s mind is like a sponge, effortlessly soaking up huge amounts of information. This is just one of the reasons why we believe enriched learning opportunities are truly beneficial.

What better way to learn than through a Spanish song with actions or a Gruffalo cookery lesson, followed by a trip to Forest School to look for the Gingerbread Man and sit under the trees listening to stories whilst toasting marshmallows.

Our small class sizes enable us to provide a high staff-to-child ratio, allowing the team to work closely with the children. My team ensure all 7 areas of the EYFS curriculum are taught to the children, through specialist teaching encompassing a wide and diverse curriculum.

The children benefit from all of Duncombe School’s facilities such as the Astro Court, Library and The Music and Dance Studio. The children also have the opportunity to be taught Forest School, Spanish, French, PE, Dance and Music, at no extra cost.
