A privately owned day nursery for children up to the age of five years. Highly skilled and dedicated staff provide children with an enabling and caring learning environment where they are supported to develop as individuals and reach their full potential.

Activities at the nursery are developed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which allow the children to learn to build positive relationships outside of their family. Each child is treated as an individual and, as such, only progresses through the nursery when they reach the right developmental stages, rather than when they reach a certain age.

My daughter has developed massively whilst at Sunbeams Day Nursery (Thorpe Park, Leeds). The staff are amazing and have made my daughter feel really comfortable away from home. The facilities are excellent with lots of indoor and outdoor play. My daughter has food allergies and the chef has been really
accommodating and understanding of her needs.

Our son really enjoys his time at the nursery. He attends one and a half days a week and looks forward to going. All of the staff know him by name and give me regular progress updates. The team are very warm and nurturing. There is a great array of learning opportunities and plenty of outside playtime
to. I felt the nursery managed the Covid-19 rules well and gave clear updates. I never felt my son was exposed to undue risk. The other parents are polite and pleasant. Whilst there isn't much opportunity to interact, people are courteous to each other when dropping off and picking up their little ones.

I cannot recommend Sunbeams Day Nursery (Thorpe Park, Leeds) enough! My daughter has grown in confidence so much since starting and absolutely loves her afternoon sessions with her key people. I love that she has being able to socialise with children her age and gets to do a lot of activities we are

My daughter has attended Sunbeams from being 8 months old. She will leave to go to school this September. Without exception, every single member of staff has been fantastic. I feel happy and confident leaving her and she has never had a bad word to say about anyone (since being able to talk!). The setting
and activities are great but it is definitely the staff who make it. Their passion and enthusiasm shine through, and it feels like a lovely community. I feel very lucky to have found Sunbeams and frequently recommend it to colleagues and friends.

My daughter started coming to Sunbeams when she was 7-months-old. She is now 19-months and has developed so much. She enjoys her nursery days and loves being around her friends.
I have never questioned leaving my daughter. The staff there are amazing and welcoming and she gains so much from attending.
She's independent, clever and so happy and that's all thanks to the lovely staff.

My 2 boys have stranded since August 2017. The staff are amazing, my youngest still cries every time he's left and his key worker still holds him until he's settled. My eldest adores his 'teachers'. They both have excelled in the last 10 months.

My daughter has attended this nursery since January 2017. All the staff show a genuine interest in her care and development. When we first joined they were respectful of my concerns (leaving my first child with other care givers to return to work) and helped to put my mind at ease.
It is a lovely
clean and comfortable environment and I know my daughter is very happy here. I'm also happy with the variety of food throughout the day.

Excellent!
We had to relocate my daughter from another nursery and had a very bad experience when we’d tried to do this before so had concerns. However, the staff are lovely, very friendly and made effort to help her settle in!
Would definitely recommend as the best nursery in the area.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone thinking of putting their child into daycare from a young age. My little girl started when she was 11 months as I went back to work. All the staff are fabulous and made the transition back to work better than I could have hoped for. The feedback they give
at the end of the day puts you at ease and the communication throughout the day if there are any issues is also good.
Once my little girl was a confident walker she was moved to the infant room. This was daunting as a mother as it was a big change but the staff make everything run so smoothly that there was nothing to worry about.
She still isn’t too keen on being dropped off in the morning and likes to make us feel guilty but the lovely staff do everything to make that drop off go with ease.
(Even if you have any doubts those hand painted pieces of paper you receive make everything worthwhile).

My daughter joined Sunbeams at just 10 months old, she's recently moved to the toddler room. All staff are extremely friendly and professional, they genuinely care and they do a fantastic job with the learning and development of each child. They are excellent at keeping parents well informed of everything.

Sunbeams Thorpe Park we have found to be such a fantastic nursery for our daughter. The staff are all professional but genuinely caring and their attention to detail is impressive. The facilities and range of activities are great and we have found the detailed communication with us on what she's eaten,
how she has been, what she has done at the end of each session is great, along with phone calls etc if she's not been well. All the staff are approachable, friendly and patient with the children. As a teacher myself, I would recommend this beautiful nursery to anyone.

Ever since my little boy started at nursery here it’s been very clear he has absolutely loved it. He has come along leaps and bounds since starting. Sunbeams was just amazing from the minute we walked in!.....
I felt my little boy needed some interaction from different adults and children and was apprehensive about sending him to nursery as he’s quite a clingy and sensitive boy. I knew instantly that Sunbeams was the place for him. The calming
setting to the equally bubbly friendly staff meant I knew it was right. His first day was a struggle for both me and him but I needn’t have worried the girls were so fantastic and caring towards him I knew I’d left him in the best hands.
After a couple of months he has settled really well. He loves the staff, the activities and most of all.......the food!
Thank you to every single member who has made us feel so welcome and look after him like I would.
Sunbeams is fab!!!!

My son started Sunbeams nursery at 10 months old, the Thorpe Park Nursery had just opened and it looked so clean, well thought out and with such lovely big windows. As a first time mummy I dropped my son off with apprehension wondering what was going to happen and I can honestly say the last year and
a half he has not once cried at drop off or pick up (he actually cries when we drive past to go somewhere else). All the staff have been so welcoming, keeping us parents informed of how the day has gone and also their progress, they always seem to have a genuine interest. I feel so relaxed knowing my son is in good hands, having fun and learning through play! Fabulous!

I have two children at Sunbeams (infants and preschool rooms) and they love it. A bright, clean and sunny purpose built building will well equipped and trained staff who seem to genuinely enjoy caring for my children. My oldest has been there since the opening and has thrived in his preschool year
preparing him to school soon. The activities and events that are organised for the children allow the nursery to feel like a community rather than just childcare.

My son started at Sunbeams a few weeks ago. We visited the nursery prior to him starting and immediately fell in love with the setting. It was absolutely perfect and our son attended with us and seemed happy, which was a winner for us!
All the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. It is evident
that they care about the children and their developmental needs are a priority. Each child is treated as an individual as they recognise that no two children are the same and they have an allocated keyworker.
My son has taken a little bit to settle in however all of the staff have been so caring which has been amazing. I can ring as much as I want and they will always provide me with an update as to how he has been.
I can’t thank the staff enough for caring for my little boy when we are at work and I know that he is safe in their care.

I was nervous about my son attending a nursery as I never did with my first son. Firstly the staff put me at ease straight away, they listened to every aspect of the way I parent my child and have ensured the same is done with my son as is at home! He loves going and socialising with his class mates.
He has come on leaps and bounds since going!

My Pre-School child joined in September. He takes a long time to settle into new environments and the staff have been wonderfully caring, nurturing and patient with him. He is now settled and thriving in nursery life. His writing, vocabulary, physical ability, imagination and knowledge is growing daily
through the child led activities fulfilled at this setting. He has made a lovely set of friends and great bonds with the staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery, its clean modern environment, wonderful staff and convenient location set it apart from any other we considered.

Our two boys have been going to this nursery for almost a year now and they absolutely love it. They settled in so quickly and have made lots of friends including the other children and the nursery staff. It's such a lovely environment that encourages positive behaviour and learning and I can see how
far our boys have developed. Each week they are growing and developing and it's just lovely to watch. I have absolute confidence in the nursery, I'm so happy that we found it! 10/10! I could not ask for anymore!

Hi, my name is Anna. My passion for childcare started in high school whilst studying childcare at GCSE which led me to go to university. I gained a BA Hons in Childhood and Youth studies and also gained my Early Years Professional Status. Working with children fascinates me as I love to see the learning and development they accomplish before they go to school. I have been working in early years for over ten years starting out as a nursery nurse, quickly becoming a room leader and then progressing to be a deputy manager. I joined Sunbeams in 2016 as nursery manager and have loved every second of working here. Being a mum myself to two young girls I understand it can be nerve racking time when starting your child at a nursery so we want to ensure we support both yourself and your child with this transition.”
