The Old Station Nursery Oxford, located at the heart of Oxford Science Park, caters to local families, as well as those who work within the grounds. It is ideal for working families, with easy access to the offices at the park and convenient transport links via local buses or footpaths. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The nursery building is spacious, with a bright interior and a beautiful outdoor play area. It comprises of three distinct rooms, each designed to support the developmental needs of children in different age groups.

The qualified and passionate nursery team is committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages the growth and development of every child.

For children under two years, a secure and comfortable room is offered, with soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments, and other educational toys to facilitate exploration and learning. Activities are tailored to the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child. Toddlers can progress to a slightly more structured room with age-appropriate resources, such as books, painting materials and a 'home corner' play area.

As children approach Pre-School age, they advance to a dedicated room where the team help them to prepare for primary school. The nursery has established relationships with local schools to facilitate a smooth transition for children and parents alike. The recent implementation of the 'Brighter Learning Approach', supports in school preparation, enriching the core curriculum provision by encouraging natural curiosity and cultivating key skills, knowledge, and attitudes that promote lifelong success and happiness.

We love the Old Station Nursery. Everyone there is very committed and the kids are happy. We can definitely recommend this nursery. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Both my children went here and they both loved it

Our son is always happy to go to nursery and to come back. He has lots of stuff to tell us about his day. He loves the food. He has no problem napping. And he enjoys playing with the rabbits, giving them carrots. Children can spend lots of time in the garden.

I have found The Old Station Nursery to be incredibly supportive and welcoming to my son and have worked hard with us to help him settle in well. The staff, and especially his key worker, are kind and sensitive to his needs, and I know he is well looked after there.

Lovely setting - very professionally managed with caring staff and a creative, play-led approach to learning. Our daughter has settled well and is very happy here. We’re delighted to see how quickly she’s developing under the guidance of her teachers - art, music, speech and language, motor skills,

The staff are absolutely fantastic. My son really, really enjoys nursery and is making rapid progress in all developmental areas. He always smiles as soon as he realises where he is, and how he interacts with his key worker is amazing. I couldn’t ask for more.

The staff are excellent - always there to listen to any questions or concerns and to talk about our son and the things he got up to during his day. I am extremely satisfied by the service provided by The Old Station Nursery, Oxford. My daughter had been going to another very reputed Nursery at Milton Park. However, we were not very happy with their service. But The Old Station Nursery has exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to her keyworker,
she had been amazing. Shout out to the other team members too. Thanks a lot for loving our child so much.

Both my girls love the place. When they are off, they continuously ask when they will come back. They feel like it is a second home. I can see great progress in my girls' development and language skills (we are from non-English language background). Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Never had
any issues. Management is always open to conversation. What more could you wish from a nursery?

My children love The Old Station Nursery. They both attended since they were 12-months-old. My daughter is in school now but still misses nursery. My son enjoys his time in the toddler group very much. The staff are lovely and look after the children very well. There are fun activities all the time.

My daughter has been at the Oxford nursery since she was 10-months-old (now 3-years). She has loved her time in each of the 3 rooms, and once settled, has formed strong bonds with her key person and other staff in each, and she looks forward to seeing them. The nursery administration was particularly
great through the most difficult periods of the pandemic, keeping us updated regularly, even when closed. My daughter enjoys her time at the nursery, and comes home happy and tired out, ready to tell me about space week/Easter crafts etc or to sing me a new song she's learnt.

Our child has been attending The Old Station Nursery 3 days a week in the toddler room since the end of January this year, and he loves it! We are very happy with the nursery, and I drop off my son knowing that he will be well looked after.


Excellent nursery with great facilities, amazing management

and the staff are great, always with positive energy. I would highly recommend this nursery.

We love The Old Station nursery at Oxford Science park. My son has been here since he was 8-months-old and he’s now three and a half.
The care and support he receives are like no other I’ve witnessed in Early Years providers.
Our son looks forward to his days at nursery, and he has developed tremendously
well, because of the fantastic staff here.
As a full time working mum, it’s so reassuring to know my son is in a setting he adores, as well as a setting that provides excellent opportunities for growth and development.

My daughter is enjoying her time there. Kids do a lot of activities, and the staff are extremely understanding and accommodating.
They provide lunch, which is something a lot of nurseries for under-fives do not provide. They require parents to send packed lunches. It helps working parents when kids
are given hot healthy meals and snacks.

The Old Station Nursery has been consistently supporting and nurturing, COVID or no COVID. The staff are responsive to parents and maintain a happy place for my child to want to attend every morning. Individual needs of the child are taken into consideration and applied for example, food and sleep patterns.
Communication is key and positive emails and helpful advice are constant. We love the weekly updates of photos regarding educational challenges and milestones. Help with organisation of payments has been superb. I really cannot fault The Old Station Nursery for their approach and ethos; it’s relaxed and professional, kind and efficient.

We feel their support has been invaluable to us as a family.
The nursery embraces diversity, and this is so important to us as a family.
Our oldest had a fantastic start to school because we believe

Hello, I'm Charlotte and I'm the Nursery Manager here at The Old Station Nursery Oxford. I am qualified BA Hons in Early Years.


We have a really friendly team here in Oxford and enjoy following the children’s interests in all that we do. We are really convenient for parents who work on the Park, but we also welcome all local families
