Bright Little Stars Nursery in Mill Hill is a castle-themed gated property with a multicoloured fence.

The nursery is situated alone on Dove Close with private access from Bunns Lane and has a pedestrian crossing outside of the nursery, making Bright Little Stars Nursery a safe and secure learning environment.

The setting features brightly coloured learning rooms for each age group, including babies, pre-toddlers, toddlers and pre-school aged children. The nursery is well-lit and has carefully selected facilities and resources for children who are at a variety of levels and has dual air-conditioning and heating systems in place, as well as modern computer facilities.

The unique Bright Little Stars Learning Programme nurtures a love of learning bringing play and teaching together into the curriculum featuring prime areas, phonics & literacy, mathematics, science & botany, culture & geography, ICT, expressive arts, home learning and a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs.

They strongly believe in working in partnership with parents and send weekly emails on learning activities and frequently hold parent involvement sessions/workshops. They also have a special online 'Parent Area' for existing parents.

Their Head of Teaching and School Relationships supports parents when it is time to think about sending children to school. They build relationships with schools by visiting them to gather and share information with parents via Parent Workshops where they help to explain the application process and preparation for assessments. They also hold school drop-in sessions onsite for parents to meet with prospective schools.

Children at the nursery enjoy the large gardens and sheltered areas give each room access to the outdoors encouraging children to enjoy free-flow play and explore. The nursery is also located near to Mill Hill Park, providing children with more opportunities to enjoy outdoors.

I am a massive supporter of Bright Little Stars, having proudly sent all three of my children to the nursery since it first opened its doors in its flagship store. The level of care is second to none, a testament to the 'Good' rating by OFSTED. Every member of staff is passionate, loving, attentive
and truly concerned about the happiness and comfort of every child. All three of my boys cherished their time at BLS and it will always be a part of their life story. Hugely recommended.

I have found the care and all the staff to be fantastic. My Daughter is happy and always looking forward to going to Nursery, she is learning and developing more every day whilst having fun. They spend a lot of time playing outside and have a large garden that allows the children plenty of room to exercise.
The staff are always willing to take the time to talk to parents about the children's development.

My daughter first started with Bright Little Stars in October 2017. We are currently in the Milkyway room which has been our only experience. The staff are very accommodating and very friendly. The activities during the day are well planned and not too regimented. They have a variety of play styles
they incorporate for all ages. I have to say I feel very settled within myself when leaving my child with the nursery. My daughter almost runs away when I pick her up and that in itself is a good sign that she is happy here. Her key worker is an absolute asset to the organisation. She has always met our expectations, she always takes her time to give feedback when we collect our little one. The key worker and the team always take on board feedback from us too and if we want to change anything to our child's routine, they try to ensure this is completed.

I had my heart set on this nursery from the get-go, as so many friends had recommended it but there was the longest waiting list! I put all my eggs in one basket and it was so worth holding out for. I was fortunate to get my daughter a place starting in the first room, MilkyWay.
She is so happy at
this nursery and has come on in leaps and bounds. All the staff are caring, kind, encouraging and understanding. From the minute you walk into the nursery there is a lovely atmosphere and there's nothing better than seeing your child smile when you leave them and them laughing when you collect them.
Additional bonuses are parent and grandparent involvement sessions, the extracurricular activities, fantastic catering (the menus are fab!) daily reports via email and the opportunity to check on your child via webcam whenever you miss them! In the beginning, it really is such a comfort.
This really is a wonderful nursery in every respect and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

My son started at Bright Little Stars when he was 1 year and 10 months old, the care and love he received here was like from home to home. There was not a day when he did not want to come to nursery, some days it was hard to get him home. My son has progressed throughout the years of being here and
being able to start reading by the age of 4 is amazing. The staff are friendly and welcoming and they know the children so well. He has really enjoyed all the extracurricular activities especially "wild fangs" where he has been able to touch a real life snake, gecko, and spider! The best thing of all is he has made some wonderful friends and he is happy. The staff are working really hard to prepare him and get him 'school ready' to start reception in September and we will miss the nursery so much - he already has asked me "can we still visit".

Our daughter has been at Bright Little Stars, Mill Hill for nearly 4 years, since she was 10 months and has benefitted hugely from the curriculum there.
She is about to go to school in September 2018 and I feel that she is more than prepared. She can write her name, count, understand basic maths,
reads simple words and most importantly is extremely happy every day when I go to pick her up.
The Ben and Betty programme is wonderful, focussing on a letter each week.
The staff in the classrooms are exceptional and very nurturing. There is a good mix of characters among them.
The extracurricular activities are very good and break up the day for the kids. They are extremely varied and include Spanish, Bollywood dance, stretch and grow, soccer bears, sport...
The staff in the office are very friendly but stick rigidly to their contract and the rules set by HQ which means they are more ‘corporate’ than other nurseries.

Our daughter has been at Bright Little Stars since she was 10 months old and is graduating at the end of August to head off to school. She has been extremely happy at the nursery since the beginning and has always been excited to come in every morning. She has made great friends, as have we as parents.
We have been very happy with her development and growth, especially over the past year where her numeracy and literacy skills have come on a great deal. We feel that she is well prepared for school and we will miss the nursery very much.

Elaine Dann is the Nursery Manager at our Mill Hill Nursery. Elaine has over 21 years’ experience within the childcare industry, 7 of these being in an Early Years setting. She holds a Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice. Elaine has vast experience leading and managing large teams and growing nurseries from opening to full capacity.


Elaine is dedicated about her work in Early Years and strives to provide the best learning opportunities for all children, she believes in teaching resilience and independence by offering experiences that are unique to each child. Elaine is keen for children to develop their knowledge of the world we live in through allowing them to explore their local environment and community.


Elaine is experienced in inspiring her team to enhance their skills through providing support and knowledge in a safe and stimulating way, this she knows further enriches the high-level teaching offered to the little ones she is lucky to have in her care.
