Located close to the heart of Birmingham, N Family Club – Harborne is housed in a period building. Having been sensitively refurbished in 2022, the nursery is packed full of features, including light-filled playrooms, a sensory room to support mindfulness and yoga sessions and a family lending library. Outside, the spacious garden large garden comes complete with a climbing structure, slide, race track. Regular Forest School-inspired sessions (where children build dens, explore bug hotels and cook outside) also form an important part of the core programme.

Fresh, healthy meals are prepared every day on-site by the in-house chef. Former Head of Nutrition at Jamie Oliver – Laura Matthews – has been working with N Family Club since 2017 to ensure that the seasonal menu supports the developmental needs of every child.

At N, nursery is more than just daycare. It's a community of parents and educators working together to provide the best possible start for the children at N. N's in-house training programme – The N Academy – supports and encourages educators to continue to develop their early years practice. For parents, N have created The Family Hub. An online blog where parents can find parenting tips and advice from the education team as well as leading early years experts. Parents also have access to online parenting talks on topics such as sleep, weaning, potty training, and much more.

Our daughter attends nursery for 4 1/2 days so it was very important for us to find the right nursery and ever since the new manager arrived we have been very happy with Bright Minds. Our daughter has built some very close bonds with individual staff members who make us feel like they care for our
daughter almost as much as we do, and the development has been amazing to watch, plus you can keep track of everything with the Famly app which is constantly updated with everything from the amazing food to the number of nappie changes, I couldn’t recommend Brightminds Edgbaston enough.

I had a difficult time when making the decision to change nurseries after our little guy has been to another setting. I was reluctant to disturb his routine and go through the settling in period again. However, making the move was the best decision I had made as the little guy settled in immediately
as staff were so attentive. His development was noticeable within a short period of time and the teaching has been instrumental in his growth.
The best are the meals provided to the children. All home-cooked and nutritious. (not just sandwiches)
Would highly recommend Bright Minds.
Super gutted to be leaving for our little guy to start reception.

My little one has been attending 4 days a week since September 2018. He's now in the big toddler room. I highly recommend this nursery and am very pleased with our choice as he's so happy there. The staff we've met who are responsible for his care have all been exceptionally kind, caring and interested
in his development. I know he's in good hands and have been really impressed with time and energy that goes into the themed activities each week, but also into helping the children with their routines, manners and kindness. I feel he's in a lovely setting with other lovely children and staff and, as a result, he is noticeably thriving. The food and variety of onsite cooked meals is also to be commended. The nursery was new when we started and there have been a few blips along the way with some members of staff we loved, leaving. Some communications could have been better and more consistent but I feel that these were teething problems which have been overcome in recent months.

Bright Minds Meadow Road is absolutely amazing. It goes above and beyond in the small and large details. The staff is so warm, caring and interactive with the children. There are always interesting activities, celebrations for all key dates in the diary (the Christmas Santa grotto was amazing!) and
varied meals with lots of fresh, homemade food which is always so impressive. The building and garden are a lot more homely than any other nursery I looked around - I felt it was personal and don’t worry about my baby all day at work because I know she is in good hands and happy.
So to sum it up, I love Bright Minds - the bubbly staff, beautiful building and garden, cleanliness, fresh new equipment and toys, massive emphasis on learning in play, effort and creative ideas that go into activities and events, personal touch such as parties for each child, parental involvement (there’s even a grandparents morning often), wonderful fresh food and the absolute thorough care and attention!

It's still early days however, my child since attending this nursery has completely opened up about her day and is excited to attend. The previous nursery she attended for over a year did not provide this positive reaction in fact she would not say a word. I am always welcomed with happy faces, telling
me about her day, the chef providing the food gives regular updates on the app along with other care staff letting parents know of the activities the children have done. I would love to see more of this, although difficult I'm sure due to giving full attention to the children is more important. I feel like my child gets plenty of attention, care, food, and learning. So far they respond well to parents' queries and I feel my child is happy and has much to do. Very impressed so far with staff, management, facilities and the way it is run.

I just want to start by saying how extremely happy we are with our daughter's new nursery. My daughter has been in nursery since she was 3 months and in July we decided to move her as we were not happy with her previous nursery. My only regret is that we did not mover her to Bright Minds sooner! Bright
Minds is amazing! The overall standard is by far stupendously high. The learning that the children get is second to none. A though-out learning audit is created when she first went there and is continuously updated through an app that is sent directly to my phone so it's extremely convenient as I have my own copy and evidence to hand! She was two when she first went here and she is now 3 and has Italian lessons there at no extra cost! I've never heard of another nursery doing this! She has football lessons, as someone comes in to teach the children as well as ballet and yoga! The space is second to none and the staff are the best part. Caring, compassionate and genuine.

I was very impressed with all staff at Bright Minds who all took such good care of my young daughter. Staff were attentive, caring and experienced. The day was packed with activities and the outdoor space is amazing - they even have chickens! The facilities are clean, bright and spacious. Every single
time I collected my daughter she was in the arms of a member of staff, happy and being played with. I cannot fault the care she received and would recommend the nursery without hesitation.

My son started at this beautiful nursery in March this year. The staff are excellent, extremely friendly and competent in their job role, who make not only my son feel happy, but me as the parent.
The facilities are well above average for any nursery settings that I have ever viewed.


My son especially

Martina was born in Ireland but has been living in Birmingham since 2014. She's been working in early years education for the past 20 years. Martina studied Montessori education, child physiology and supervision in childcare qualifications and has worked in various outstanding nurseries including some Montessori Schools.


In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, particularly cooking for them and getting together for dinner.
