Nuffy Bear Day Nursery “Bristol North” opened in September 2017 and is conveniently situated on the site of Nuffield Health’s Bristol North Fitness and Wellbeing gym. The nursery caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years, where they will be grouped into rooms specially designed for their age and development. The nursery is uniquely qualified to teach your child to swim from the age of 3 years and support your child being active.

The nursery benefits from enclosed outdoor garden, sports hall linked to the nursery, freshly prepared home cooked meals and snacks, brand new resources, swimming lessons, free all day parking for nursery parents who may commute to work and a free gym membership with every full-time place. Main Nursery hours 08:00 - 18:00, they operate an early drop off 07:30 - 08:00 and late pick up 18:00 - 18:30 service.

My little boy has been going to this nursery since he was 8 months old, he is nearly 3 and it is wonderful. The staff are great with him and so friendly. They tell me all about his day and there is an app for all the daily things. I recommend the nursery to all my friends with little ones as it is so
good. The manager and deputies are brilliant and my son has a wonderful key worker. Parent's evenings are great to find out more and work out his next steps. I am super pleased he is here!

My little boy has been going here since he was 4 and a half months old, he adores every single staff member, is always so happy throughout the day and is so well looked after. He has come on so well at nursery and adores the other children as well. The staff communicate so well with you on your child’s
needs and are always willing to help and provide advice. The areas are always clean and tidy, the children go outside every day (where they can!). They use the Famly app and it’s great for touching base and seeing how your little one is doing throughout the day, they post lovely updates during the day so you can see what they are up to!

My son has been here for almost three years and he has loved every minute! The team genuinely care and he has blossomed in this time. He is very confident and always has a good time with his friends. The team make time to have a chat at pick-up time so we know how his day has been.

Both our kids absolutely love it here! The staff are very supportive and friendly, and the communication at the end of the day is excellent. The swimming lessons for 3 year olds + are also an excellent perk! Only issue we've had has been with the finance system, so looking forward to the new finance
system starting next month.

Great range of activities for kids, and not so big that your child disappears. Opening from 0730 is still very useful. The only downside is the usual finance team and head office admin palaver regarding payment and fees.

I can not recommend Nuffy Bears enough. The setting is great, the staff are lovely and supportive, communication is brilliant between manager and staff, and my son is happy. I wish I found the nursery earlier as it is a wonderful preschool.

My son has really thrived at Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Bristol.
He's stimulated, has loads of friends there and always talks about his teachers and carers as people he has fun with.
The staff are really helpful and I get lots of useful feedback on when his behaviour is good or bad and how to work on
it together.
He's going to be sorry to leave (he's going to school soon).

Nursery staff were helpful in settling my child in the nursery. They enjoy a lot and seems to be thriving well in this nursery environment. It has been a little sad that we can't go in and observe at the moment but hopefully will be able to do so in the future. The staff have been very supportive and
caring for the children. I just hope they include more vegetarian options for kids including lentils, veggies and a little less meat substitute. But highly recommend this to all parents!

This nursery is honestly amazing. My daughter joined during the pandemic, and they really helped her us as parents to settle in.
She has a great relationship with everyone there who knows her by name. Her key worker is so good with her, and she absolutely loves him.
As first-time parents, this was
our first experience of a nursery setting, and I could not be happier; they are very accommodating to changes that we have had to make.
If you want your child to be able to be in a safe and happy setting with indoor and outdoor play, then Nuffy Bears is the place to be. My daughter is truly herself, and that is better than anything else.

My two boys have been extremely happy here for the last year. The staff are so friendly and provide a safe, fun and educational environment for the children. This nursery is so lovely. It’s light and airy with lots of lovely toys and activities to keep the kids entertained and stimulated. The staff are so welcoming and friendly - my daughter, who struggled to settle at another nursery, settled really quickly and now loves spending time there and with her
key worker. The food also seems really good and whenever I pick her up after lunch, it looks like something I would happily tuck into! They encourage the kids to be independent which is brilliant and has taught my daughter loads (although hard work for me when she wants to pour her own drink at home!!). Overall, I’m really happy with Nuffy Bears and feel totally confident leaving my daughter there.

All Excellent - My grandson really looks forward to coming to Nursery - He gets so excited when I pull up and park in Mother and baby parking and he sees the big yellow bear smiling at him. He squeals with delight. When I buzz to be allowed into the actual Nursery he almost jumps out of my hands to
get going :) I know he is in safe hands and a very safe environment. My grandson is just starting to stand up on his own and I realise that mixing with other children of a similar age that he is encouraged by being part of a lovely group. I sometimes notice the older children in the adjoining room being cared for by knowledgeable staff with lots of smiles and laughter. I can truly say my grandson enjoys and is cared for 100%.


I do not feel guilty about leaving my grandson as he loves going to nursery - it is an asset :)

I cannot begin to explain what a lovely, wholesome and welcoming environment Nuffy Bears is. The staff (managers especially) have gone above and beyond for both my children and as a family we feel they know our children so well. Both my son and daughter love attending nursery and leave every day there
very happy. They do lots of lovely activities with them (including swimming!) and always give us lots of information on what they’ve been doing throughout the day. All the staff are so approachable and genuinely lovely people. I couldn’t have found a better nursery for my children to attend.

I cannot fault this fantastic nursery. My eldest child attended an Ofsted rated outstanding nursery so my expectations of a nursery for my 2-year-old son were very high. Nuffy does not disappoint. The managers amongst other amazing staff are great at their job. I have just received a fully comprehensive
report on the progress my son has made and without a doubt, he wouldn't be at the higher levels without Nuffy Bears' exceptional care and attention. The site is immaculately clean and with lots of lovely toys. My son runs to the door every time which is proof in the pudding that he loves it as much as me.

Our son has attended this nursery since we moved house four months ago. We (and he) really love it - the staff are very caring and friendly, and it has a really homely feel. The environment is well-equipped, bright and new and it has really nice outdoor space. There is lots of (good) food, and he does
lots of different activities during the day, with lots of emphasis on outdoor play and being active. The staff are great at filling us in on his day, what he's been doing, new words or sounds, what he has enjoyed etc. It is really clear to us when we see him playing that he is very happy, stimulated and comfortable there and this is a credit to the efforts of the staff.

Hi, I'm Vera and I am Level 3 qualified.


I was born in Lisbon, and my favourite place to be is at the beach!


My journey in Early Years began over ten years ago in London. I always enjoyed observing children's creativity and curiosity about the world around them. Through play, positive interactions, safe environments, communication and language, we can help every child to reach their full potential during their formative years.


I love that children live to the motto 'It's all about play!' everything else comes second!

Hello, I'm Eve!


I'm a student at UWE and I am enjoying discovering Bristol!
I have three very cute, very small dogs who live with my family in Manchester.


I've always enjoyed working with children, whether it has been in nursery settings playing an intense game of hide and seek, or at a forest school building a zip wire!


Supporting children in their learning and development through play, and creating fun opportunities to learn is such a special part of working in Early Years and enables me to develop my own skills further, alongside the children!
