Welcome to The Ark, where a magical adventure awaits children, parents, and staff alike. A light, spacious, purpose-designed building, the nursery offers the ideal environment for exceptional childcare. Since opening in 2017, the commitment to excellence has been recognised by Ofsted, awarding the nursery a good rating since it opened (March 2023, July 2019).

The former police station underwent a conversion to provide the highest quality childcare for children in Littleborough and the surrounding areas. A sensory room offers children rich and varied experiences enabling them to use their senses and a separate dining room is not only a nutritional experience but also an important social one.

The focus on outdoor learning, through Forest School and Woodland Explorer programmes, encourages children to develop confidence and independence. These sessions provide stimulating, memorable and exciting experiences whilst helping them recognise the importance of being healthy, staying safe, enjoying activities and making a positive contribution to the world around them.

Focusing on having as much fun as possible, an Out of School and Holiday Club offer plenty of entertaining activities for children aged four to 11 years.

With over 13 years of experience in the Early Years sector, I have developed a deep understanding of the vital role early childhood plays in laying the foundation for lifelong learning and development. I am passionate about supporting children’s open-ended play and creating rich, stimulating environments that encourage exploration, investigation, and critical thinking.


Throughout my journey at The Ark, I have progressed through a variety of roles, including Early Years Educator, Area Lead, Third in Charge, Early Years Teacher, and now Nursery Manager. I am committed to sharing my expertise with my team, fostering a culture of continuous professional development, and leading by example – always ready to engage and inspire.
