The Winchmore Hill Preschool & Nursery is built upon a passion for excellence and innovation in childcare and preschool education. They take children from 3 months up to 4 years and 11 months.

Staff put the children at the heart of their nursery where the focus is on a curriculum designed around how children learn. They plan varied, exciting opportunities to Explore | Discover |Create | Learn where children’s needs, talents, abilities and interests are ignited. The specialist curriculum covers music, performing arts, early years and discovery and technology with purpose-built studios for each specialist area.

They have dedicated under-two rooms; their baby room is designed to meet the needs of children from three months old until they are secure walkers. Staff follow the daily routine that children are used to at home so that the transition from home to nursery is seamless. With a separate cot room ensuring children can enjoy deep and undisturbed sleep.

The toddler room provides a very nurturing environment, where children are encouraged to be more independent and to try new things themselves, taking those next important steps in their development. The curriculum for under twos supports the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and has a strong focus on exploration and discovery.

The nursery's sensory room is an oasis of calm in and amongst the other nursery rooms. It is largely used by under twos who visit the room daily for focused sensory exploration. Music is piped into the room via a Sonos system supporting the children’s sensory discovery.

Staff are carefully selected specifically for their caring, nurturing and gentle qualities and their knowledge and experience of working with young children.

They believe it is very important that children are fed nutritious home cooked meals and the menus are designed by a specialist nutritionist serving largely organic food only.

Our ten month old started at the nursery in June and we couldn't be happier. The staff are all excellent and helped her settle in quickly. They have plenty of activities to keep her engaged and she particularly loves the sensory room. It has given us peace of mind to know our baby is in such wonderful,
experienced hands.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since March and she absolutely loves it. All the staff have been so welcoming and kind to her. The staff genuinely care about the children, which is not something you come across every day. Can't fault the nursery in any way.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 10 months old. She is turning 2 years next month. We absolutely love the nursery. The staff are wonderful and our daughter loves them all. Her speech, behaviour and social skills are amazing and we credit that to the nursery. I would recommend
this nursery to anyone.
