Little Rascals Pre-Prep is situated in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, on Clanricarde Gardens.

The Pre-Prep is housed in a stunning Edwardian converted house and is located only a short walk from Tunbridge Wells train station.

The Pre-Prep is split over two floors with the younger children on the lower floor. When developmentally ready, children transition to the upper floor.

Activities are play-based and centred around school readiness and preparing the children for the next big milestone in their development and learning.

The Pre-Prep has an outside play area where children explore and discover the natural world around them. This provides countless opportunities for the children to investigate the awe and wonder of outdoor learning.

The Pre-Prep also offers extra-curricular activities for children which include Phonics sessions and community visits to help children experience social activities outside the nursery setting.

Our daughter has attended Little Rascals since nursery and has been within the Pre Prep setting for 14 months - she absolutely loves her time there. She was a little reserved when she first joined but is now absolutely full of confidence thanks to the encouragement of all those who work there. She has
formed strong bonds with the staff, who are warm and nurturing.
The activities are fun, varied and educational and on pick-up, our daughter is always very happy.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Little Rascals Pre-Prep.

My eldest has just left Little Rascals after four and a half years. She joined the nursery at six months old and is now leaving for school, a confident, happy and highly sociable almost five-year-old.
All the way through her time at nursery, and then Pre-Prep, the staff at Little Rascals have been
fantastic. They have encouraged my daughter in her love of music, dance, racing around and building things. Helped her navigate the complexity of pre-school friendships and even got her to eat a wide and varied selection of vegetables that she refuses to touch at home!
The manager and the team have been fantastic!

Our child's been at Little Rascals since November 2021 and we've been really pleased with the staff and the experience our child has had. She's ready for school and has positive connections with her caregivers. A good range of activities and a good balance between structured and unstructured play. Would

My son has been at Little Rascals since 9 months old and spent 1.5 years in the pre-prep. They are a lovely team of people who really care about the children they look after. My son has been so happy there and made great friends and grown so much. I couldn't recommend them enough for everything from
their care, to the food, to the way the nursery is laid out and the outdoor play. They have helped him prepare for school and supported that transition brilliantly and I feel so much more confident that he will do well on his next chapter than I would have done without their support.

Amazing nursery with very caring, professional and experienced staff. Fantastic setting for children’s development. Tasty freshly made meals. My child loves going to the pre-prep everyday. Highly recommended.

Since moving to the borough, my son has been welcomed with literal open arms into the preschool. He has an amazing outside space to explore, so many daily creative and educational projects, and a nice healthy dose of messy play. He is well fed, happy and confident. My son has attended Little Rascals Pre-Prep for approximately eighteen months and absolutely loves it. The staff are caring and provide an excellent range of activities for all the children. My son has made some great friends and we have seen his confidence grow during his time here. The staff are always

We have only been at Little Rascals since January but we are so happy with how our son has settled in. The staff are all incredibly warm and caring. They are positive and genuinely enjoy teaching the children.
There is a relaxing feel with lovely, thoughtful activities and an excellent garden which
our son really enjoys. Staff are always happy to discuss things at drop off and pick up and the children all seem happy, kind and friendly. We are very happy with our choice of preschool!

My daughter's been at Little Rascals for over two years. She has really enjoyed her time at Little Rascals and has grown in confidence and independence. She enjoys the learning activities and loves the outdoor space in which they spend lots of time. She always comes home with a smile on her face and
talks about her friends and the activities she did. The staff are always friendly and helpful and really care about the children. The location and hours have been useful too.

My daughter loved her time at pre-prep. She was always excited to go to nursery. She bought many art creations home to put on the fridge. She left to go to big school very well prepared thanks to pre-prep.

My daughter started at Little Rascals Pre-Prep this September. I received daily information on what she has been doing from the lovely staff each day, which I found very helpful as I can talk to her about her day. She is so excited to go to nursery each day, she even asks on Saturday if is it a nursery
day.
The staff and management are very kind and supportive when settling my daughter into the nursery. They have a lovely outdoor space and large classrooms.

Little Rascals have brought my son on leaps and bounds, he adores the great outdoor space that the nursery has and loves all the yummy food!

My son has really enjoyed his time at Little Rascals Pre-Prep. He developed independence during his time in the younger pre-prep room and his move to the older pre-prep has helped prepare him for school; by learning through play. The team know each child very well and the staff dote on them. He has
made friends and is happy. I am reassured to go about my day knowing he is well looked after and safe.

Our little girl has loved Little Rascals Pre-Prep, from starting at one year right through to moving onto school. The staff are really friendly, fun and caring and form close bonds with the kids. Interesting activities are planned all the time and every day my daughter comes home telling me about something
new she has learnt. I think Little Rascals has done a great job in ensuring she is ready for school. She loves the food and the menu is really varied. My daughter goes in every day happy and when I collect her she always wants to stay longer to keep playing - so really can't ask for more than that.

I would not recommend this nursery to anyone. My son attended Little Rascals in 2021 after we moved into the area but he was so unhappy there that we withdrew him after a few months. At his previous nursery, he skipped into the door happily, as he does at his current one. Not so at Little Rascals. Every
day he asked not to go there. We never really got to the bottom of what the problem was as he would not tell us (despite being an open and chatty child) but we suspect there was some bullying or at least exclusionary behaviour from the other children.
His key person was very nice but other staff were unimpressive, especially those in management. The settling-in process was incredibly disorganised - I was invited in on a day when all the children there were leaving to go to school, his key person wasn’t there, and all staff who were there had resigned and would not be there when he started. Very unsettling.
This nursery seems glossy on the surface but the substance doesn’t match.

Our boy has really thrived at Little Rascals, having been there for nearly 3 years now. The staff are friendly and know the children well, the safeguarding system works well and the facilities seem good. Unlike some nurseries I've heard about, the menu seems to be balanced and varied. The location (next
to the train station, in the centre of town) and the slightly longer than usual hours are added bonuses.


We feel the staff have coped really well during the lockdown under trying circumstances and hugely appreciative of the hard work the whole teams puts in to make sure our son and his friends stay safe, healthy and engaged.


Highly recommended!

At first, we were not sure which pre-prep to send our little boy too and now looking back it was our best decision choosing Little Rascals and I cannot recommend them enough to everyone.
The manager and the staff are very approachable and friendly. As a young team, they work hard and do everything
possible for the learning and development of the children. We have seen our little boy develop so much over years and all credit to the Little Rascals team - thank you!

I can not recommend Little Rascals pre-prep enough. The manager and the team are friendly, happy and approachable with any enquiries you may have, and quick to answer them. The way they have handled covid has been incredibly reassuring. My daughter comes away from nursery happy, full of stories and
exhausted from such a fun day! Thank you for making the process easy and stress-free for me to return to work knowing my child is safe with you.

Bryony has worked at Little Rascals since 2017, working her way up from nursery practitioner to Pre-Prep Manager.
She has loved working with all of the age groups through the nursery and Pre-Prep and loves getting messy and crafty with the children.


She has a BA(Hons) degree in Childhood and Youth studies and Educational studies.

Raechal has worked at Little Rascals since 2022. She joined the team as part of the management team and brings with her 10+ years of knowledge and experience.
