Funding & Fees Guide for Finkley Down Farm Nursery & Pre-school Andover

  • 0-2 Years:
    Non-Farm Member Full Day (8am – 6pm) - £87.50
    Farm Member Full Day (8am – 6pm) - £79
    Half Day (8am – 1pm or 1pm – 6pm) - £55.70
    Ad Hoc Hourly Rate - £12.85


    2-5 Years:
    Non-Farm Member Full Day (8am – 6pm) - £85.50
    Farm Member Full Day (8am – 6pm) - £77
    Half Day (8am – 1pm or 1pm – 6pm) - £54.20

    Early Club 7.30am – 8 am is £5 per session, payable in advance via the parent area.


    We accept the 9-month, 2, 3 and 4 year old funding, however this funding does not cover certain sundries so any child using the grant will be charged a sundries fee of £2 per hour on these days.


  • We are approved providers of Hampshire County Council’s free early year’s educational grant for 2, 3 and 4-year olds. This funding is available for all children from the term after their third birthday regardless of family circumstances. We will supply you with all the required information and parent declaration forms for you to complete, as your child reaches the appropriate age. This funding does not cover certain sundries, activities, visits and hot meals so if a child is using the grant a daily charge of will be payable. Details on this can be provided from the Nursery Manager. Children eligible for 2-year-old funding and EYPP may qualify for a discount.


    There is a charge of £2 per funded hour for meals/sundries.

The staff at Finkley Down Farm Nursery go above and beyond to provide great care and activities for my child. A recent Mother's Day teddy bear picnic was so nice to be able to come onto the setting and have my child show me where he likes to play. Staff had put on a lovely picnic and lots of fun activities
to play, also some making memories art activities to do together. I look forward to another time we might do similar.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. The activities the staff put on are fantastic and varied. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. My daughter has developed a very close bond with her key worker and I feel they have been instrumental in her development.

Our son has been at Finkley Down Farm Nursery since September 2021. We were very nervous about him attending nursery as he has a speech delay and also some separation anxiety due to the pandemic...we need not have been worried as Finkley have been fantastic with him. All the staff are so warm, friendly
and nurturing and his relationship with his key worker has been instrumental in helping him settle into his days at the nursery. He loves being able to go to the farm, play in the garden and outdoor space and gets involved in the activities - he also does a Language box session every week which really helps us and him with his development in this area and Finkley regularly update us on how he is doing with this and share strategies with us so we can implement at home too. We couldn't ask for a better place for our son and we're so confident he is going to go from strength to strength with Finkley.

Finkley Down Farm Nursery really do go above and beyond. My daughter has followed in her brother's footsteps and now attends the nursery. From her first day, she has hopped and skipped into the nursery and each day comes home so happy. The girls there are amazing at what they do for the children. Always
at the end of a phone and provide great information on the planning of each week and so lovely to see how my daughter is developing on the online learning portal with great pictures of her enjoying her days. Thank you to the staff for everything you do for our little girl. She adores you and the rest of your fantastic team.

The management and staff are excellent at Finkley Down Farm Nursery. My son loves going there and comes home happy having learnt lots whilst having loads of fun. The facilities are amazing and are far better than all the other nurseries I looked at prior to choosing Finkley. The food supplied is healthy
nutritious and varied I’m so happy I managed to get my son a place there.

I couldn’t be happier with this Nursery. Each day my son come home happy with his day. He is more confident and is demonstrating big gains in his speech, numbers and letters and he is only 3. They have also been extremely supportive of his toilet training. They have so many different activities to keep
him entertained and he absolutely loves all the staff. 5 stars are not enough for Finkley!

Our daughter has attended Finkley since late July 2021. After lockdown and having next to no contact with anyone other than her parents at age 3, the staff at Finkley were incredible at welcoming her in. After two settling in sessions, she was off, running in every day shouting "bye mummy!" without
a look back. The change in her over 8 months has been wonderful. Her speech has improved immensely, she's happy and confident and loves talking about her teachers and fellow pupils.


The setting is wonderful, with a huge garden area full of different learning through play opportunities and the farm visits are second to none with regular visits to the soft play and animals. She always comes home covered in mud, sand and/or paint with a huge smile on her face having had a fantastic time! She tells me every day that she loves nursery. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel happy about your child's care, the tapestry posts are frequent and informative and they are happy to chat anytime.

Finkley Down Farm Nursery is a superb setting, with the added bonus of regular farm trips. The communication is great and each week they offer such imaginative and fun activities. We have sent both our boys since it opened and they have both absolutely loved it. The staff are all fantastic, very friendly
and always smiling. To see how much confidence my son has gained over the past year has been fantastic. He finishes each day with a huge smile on his face, he can’t wait to show us all his artwork and share his little adventures. The nursery team do a great job of preparing them for school and they are supportive to parents too throughout the different stages. I would highly recommend Finkley Down Farm Nursery and can’t thank the staff enough for their continuous hard work.

Such a nurturing environment and the nursery staff make such an effort to ensure the children are fulfilled with an enriched educational day. What other nursery gives children access to a farm to interact with animals on such a regular basis. The nursery feels like it gives so much freedom to the children
and they are encouraged to be themselves and express themselves through creative play.

My little one has been at Finkley since September 2021 and he absolutely loves it all the staff are lovely, very welcoming and friendly and I definitely feel like if there was ever any issues you could go to them right away.


My son loves being there getting involved in all the messy activities,

seeing his friends as well as staff and loving visiting the farm which is an added bonus. My son has been referred for speech and language and since being at nursery doing language time has really helped my child’s speech and it has developed amazingly Finkley were fab when it came to helping/showing me what we needed to do to get him referred.


Overall the nursery is amazing! I wouldn’t want him to go anywhere else. Happy son, happy mum.

My daughter started at Finkley Down Farm Nursery in August last year! Since then she has come on leaps and bounds with her learning and confidence! The staff are amazing and always put the parents and children first! If you have a concern about your child’s development or emotional well-being, management
are super approachable and will go out of their way to support you and your child! The key worker system is amazing and it’s very easy to communicate with the key worker via tapestry, phone calls or at the door! My daughter speaks very highly of all the staff and loves coming to nursery every day! Everyone who works at Finkley Nursery makes you and your child feel so valued and I really couldn’t recommend them enough! Also having access to the farm is unique and very beneficial to children's development!

My daughter has attended nursery since she first turned 2, she has been going for 1 year 4 months and I couldn’t be happier with the progress she has made. When she first started she didn’t speak very much and was very shy, but she doesn’t stop talking now and has grown so much in confidence, it’s lovely
to see how much she is thriving since starting nursery. She absolutely adores her key worker who has been fantastic with keeping us updated and informed with any changes and does fantastic observations which are great to read on the tapestry.


She doesn’t stop going on about her keyworker at home. She has such fun at nursery and is always keen to tell me about her day whether it’s trips to the farm, soft play or she’s been on-site at nursery, she always has a lot to say. All the staff always seem so happy and welcoming at the door when I see them at drop-offs and pickups. I recommend the nursery to anyone looking as I don’t think it can be beaten!

I cannot recommend Finkley highly enough. Previously, our son was at another nursery where, in my opinion, the care was not good. His speech was not progressing, and he was becoming very nervous, insecure and developing behaviour issues. In their opinion, he was becoming a problem child. Finkley and
especially one lady has really turned things around. He now is a talkative, confident, loving little chap. This I believe certainty wouldn’t have happened if he had stayed where he was. There is a definite air of professionalism, and the staff are really hard working. They give development opportunities that would be nearly impossible to give at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to say this must be one of the best nurseries in the country. No wonder they are so popular!

My daughter has had an exceptional experience at Finkley Nursery. The staff are all so genuine, approachable and friendly, not only have they helped my daughter developmentally, the care and love they have shown for her is above and beyond what I ever expected, we really feel like part of a big extended
family. The setting is amazing and the children do such a wide range of activities on a daily basis, from activities down on the farm like feeding and preparing food for the animals, to baking, reading, crafts, dancing and other physical activities - the list goes on! We really could not have asked for anything more. My daughter has learnt so much from her time here. It has never been more important for us as parents to feel like we have made the right decision in keeping our child in nursery as it has been during a global pandemic. I honestly can't recommend the nursery more if I tried. My daughter has flourished being there and I will be genuinely sad when she leaves to start school this year. We've been fortunate to send both our children to Finkley Down Farm Nursery & Pre-school Anodver since it opened, from when they were two and three. The care that our children receive from all the team is exemplary, we have total trust in them and the conduct of the management team is incredible, always
going above in various ways. Our children are very different. One is outgoing and confident, the other is quiet and a thinker but the team and key workers know exactly how to be with both of them to ensure they both grow and develop their skills. Overall an incredible nursery and we feel very fortunate to be able to have our children go there!

My son has attended since August 2020 and I couldn’t be any happier with everything he has received since being there, we have seen a huge difference in him in all aspects of life and I can’t thank them enough. They go above and beyond in order for you to have the most up to date information regarding
your child and this is also updated throughout their day. During this pandemic and not having access to a parent evening to discuss their development, the staff have added this all onto their app and broken it down into developmental stages. This is done for each child and each stage they achieve. This takes the upmost time and attention, as well as giving our children the best day at nursery. Highly recommended.

Charlie Edwards

Charlie is the Nursery Manager of Finkley Down Farm Nursery & Preschool and has been working here since March 2020. Charlie has a degree in Children's Development and Learning and is Level 6 Qualified.


We asked Charlie what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;

Laura-Jane started working at Finkley Nursery in September 2022. She has a Level 6 Qualification and has lots of experience working with different-aged children!


We asked Laura-Jane what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;


"Watching the children grow and develop through all the different activities and opportunities which are given to them. From climbing trees and getting messy in the sand."

Jen Russell

Hello my name is Jennifer Russell or you can call me Jen. Some of the children fondly call me Jen Jen!


I am the Deputy Manager here at the farm and I have worked in the Finkley family since we opened in September 2017!


I have worked in early years for 18 years and I pride myself on working closely with both the children and you the parents/carers.


I have a Level 5 qualification as well as extended learning in portage and special education needs in early years.

Kirsty-Anne Rumble

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner/SENCO

Kirsty-Anne started with us in February 2022 and is one of our Nursery Practitioners at Finkley Down Farm Nursery. She also has her SENCO Qualification and works closely with our settings SENCO to support any SEN needs.


We asked Kirsty-Anne what her favourite thing about working with children is and she said;
"I love being with the children and all of their individual personalities and how each child is different in their own way. It has always been a big reward to see SEN children reach milestones and succeed in their learning."

Chloe Parker

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner/Preschool Coordinator

Chloe started with us in September 2017, when we first opened and is a Level 3 Qualified Practitioner and also our Pre-School Co-Ordinator.


We asked Chloe what her favourite thing about working with children is and she said;
"I love watching the children develop and seeing how much they change from the time they first start with us to when they leave. I also enjoy watching the children become their own person with their own personalities and characters”.

Amy Ransome

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Amy has been part of our Finkley Family since 2017 and is one of our longest-serving members of staff. Amy has a Level 2 qualification in Childcare and is currently studying for her Level 3 Qualification.


We asked Amy what her favourite part of working at Finkley was and she said;


"My favourite part about working at Finkley is building really strong bonds with my key children and getting to know their families too! I also enjoy how every day is different and no day is ever the same as it always makes me wonder what each day has in store! One of my favourite things to do at Finkley is setting up exciting Tuff Trays for the children and I love seeing their reactions when they come to play with them!"

Sarah Gough

Job Title: Finkley Group Manager

Joined: 2017

Sarah is the Finkley Group Manager of Finkley Nurseries. She has been working at Finkley since it opened in September 2017, starting as the manager of Finkley Andover before being promoted to the Finkley Group Manager in June 2021, where she now oversees all of the settings. She also has a degree in Early Years Education.


We asked Sarah what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;
"Working with children allows me the opportunity to develop a new purpose every day. I love watching the children's curious minds explore the environment that we as a setting create for them and find this particularly rewarding."


Danielle

Job Title: SENCO Manager

Dani is our SENCo Manager and supports all of our Finkley Nurseries in meeting the needs of all children within our care, Danielle joined the Finkley family in March 2021. Dani is currently working towards her degree in Special Education Needs and Inclusivity.


We asked Dani what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;


"I love seeing the impact that both myself and our wonderful staff have on the children and their future outcomes. I love to get involved and enjoy running both Bucket time and BLAST sessions within all of our settings."
