Munchkins Laindon offers top quality childcare in a setting just 800m from Laindon station, and a 3 minute drive to access the A127, where every child matters and is treated as an individual in a safe and secure environment.

The beautiful, award-winning nursery cares for children aged 3 months to 4 years in a wonderful bespoke setting. Their ethos is for the children to enjoy an environment that all feel welcomed, loved and stimulated in, where every child is treated as an individual with their interests and sparks encouraged and developed.

The rooms are warm and inviting with natural resources and neutral tones to create a warm, cosy environment. They encourage all children to be curious, with open-ended resources to develop every child's imagination whilst developing each child's emotional well being by providing a loving, caring environment.

The nursery's inspiring outdoor area enables children to explore and be physical, with extensive wooden play resources including a mud kitchen, A frame, large walk-in sandpit. The baby Munchkins have their own separate garden area, which is filled with carefully thought out age-appropriate resources which enable physical development.

Munchkins, has achieved the accolade of BEST NURSERY IN ESSEX 2020, which they are extremely proud of, voted for by parents! Along with this award, the team are all working towards a year long "Just Quality" accreditation examining the impact they make upon children and how they can enhance their learning and development.

The team is also Makaton trained and sign daily to develop communication and language from babies to Pre schoolers. They are also working towards becoming one of the first Makaton friendly settings in Essex.

My daughter has been going to Munchkins Nursery since she was 7 months and is now almost 3. She gets so excited to go in every day to see her friends and play. Almost weekly, she is learning something new, and the staff are so accommodating to my daughter's challenges and growing needs with her age.
Couldn't recommend them enough.

A home from home!
The children are definitely the focus to all who work there and the core values are evident around the nursery.
From the first day my little boy started, he settled in really well and quickly, he goes in happy and smiley, and doesn't usually want to leave when I pick him up at
the end of the school day. His key worker is kind and caring, I couldn't fault her, he always smiles when she comes to the door to collect him or if she's not there he always looks for her. He is coming along really well with his speech and enjoys playing with his friends. The team overall are amazing, polite, helpful and always make my son feel safe and content. They are so encouraging when it comes to your child's learning and development they are always open to listening to new ideas on what your child does or has learnt at home to add to their little routine at nursery.

A great nursery! Our son has been going here for just over a year and is thriving.
The staff at Munchkins Nursery are incredibly kind and supportive. Our son recently had difficulty adjusting to a new room, but everyone has been patient and understanding.
We consistently notice and feel genuine care
for his well-being whenever we interact with the team.

A truly wonderful nursery. My son has attended Munchkins since he was 9 months old and he absolutely loves it. He has formed such a great bond with the staff as they are kind and engaged. He feels at home there and we have never had to worry that he is in the best care.

Heading into the last month of my daughter attending the nursery and I can only praise just how incredible it has been for her.
From starting nursery as a very shy, clingy little girl to developing into the most confident, bright and independent child has been amazing. They've helped her grow in her
own way, allowing her the freedom to be her own person whilst guiding her in the right way.
She eats incredibly well, with nutritious food and has learned so much too! She has absolutely thrived at Munchkins and I'll be so sad to see her leave the setting but just feel so proud of how well she's grown since being there.
They've helped to get her school ready, to instill so much self-confidence and belief in herself that I just know she'll carry with her as she gets older. I could go on singing their praises!
Thank you Munchkins from the bottom of my heart, for everything you've all done for my child and the advice throughout the years. We will be eternally grateful!

My experience has always been a positive one. My son was very sad when he first started but the team were brilliant and gave lots of reassurance and within no time he now runs in to his key worker! I'm always made to feel I can ring and check he's okay and no question is a silly one. Everyone is polite
and helpful, making my son feel safe and content.

My son has been attending Munchkins Nursery & Pre-School since September 2022. When viewing nurseries in the local area Munchkins stood out miles above every other I visited. Having worked in a setting myself in the past I knew what I did and didn’t want and Munchkins ticked every box.
Warm and homely
setting, kind staff who were able to answer all of my questions and queries as a nervous first time mother leaving her child in a nursery setting. Absolutely fabulous team, my son is currently in early walkers and the girls always go above and beyond and my little boy basically runs into nursery every day so excited to learn, play and be part of the setting. Thanks so much everyone.

My daughter attended Munchkins shortly after it opened and is now at school. My son is now at Munchkins. I cannot explain how amazing this place is. The staff feel like family and have formed bonds with my children and myself which will last way beyond the nursery years. The setting is beautiful and
the staff cannot do enough for the children in their care. Even in hard times, we have been fully supported by the management and staff. I would recommend Munchkins 100%.

I would highly recommend Munchkins it’s a great setting for early years children. My daughter joined during lockdown and I found it difficult not being able to see her in the setting, especially in the first few weeks. The staff reassured me with regular updates and the daily portal is amazing. I can
see how much my daughter's confidence has grown since attending Munchkins and I feel completely at ease when dropping her off and collecting her. She asks to go to nursery on her days off and you can’t ask for more than that.

My son started this nursery nearly a year ago when he was 18 months old, due to COVID I could only drop at the door so he would get a upset and took longer than usual to settle, the girls were amazing in making sure they did everything they could to help settle him and keeping my updated constantly.
Now he loves it, the level of care they put into each child is exactly what you want as a parent. He’s always doing lots of different activities and they are posted with pictures on the parent app so I can follow throughout the day. Very supportive with potty training. I have had a very positive experience with all the staff and this nursery.

My daughter started in the middle of the pandemic and she’s thrived.
The friends she’s made, the things she’s learning and knowing she’s in such a great learning environment whilst we work lessens my mental load no end.

Our daughter has been part of Laindon Munchkins since she was 9 months old and loves it! She only goes one day a week but settled really nicely with the team. Everyone is helpful and inquiries are always dealt with quickly. I like that we get real time updates and photos during the day so we aren't

My son has attending Munchkins since shortly after his 1st birthday. He has moved up through every room and is now due to leave in September for school. Every step of the way Munchkins have been absolutely brilliant for his development.
The staff are friendly, open and honest, any issues he has had
over the years have been dealt with by the staff with amazing support and guidance to us as parents without being overbearing.
The outdoor spaces are amazing with plenty of provision for water play in the summer and a huge sandpit (which our son loves). Arts and crafts often come home, and many different cultures and holidays are celebrated and learnt about. The day is well balanced between learning and fun and our son has come on leaps and bounds during his time at Munchkins and we will all miss it for sure come September.

I was quite anxious at the idea of sending my child to nursery, but when I went to check Munchkins it looked lovely and everyone was super nice and smiley, the children seemed very at ease and comfortable with them too. After 4 months of attending I can say my child really enjoys it, he smiles as soon
as he sees the girls working there, he walks to the door on his own and the girls all seem to genuinely care for him. I'm really happy we decided to send him there and I feel comfortable going to work knowing he's well looked after and entertained. I would really recommend.

My daughter attends weekly and loves her time at Munchkins, she often talks about her friends and keyworkers when at home. It's a lovely setting and my only issue is that she only goes one day a week!
