I am so happy with the nursery. The staff are fabulous and have always gone the extra mile to help my little boy settle in. They have not been out of by my son having health problems and have always been willing to offer help and support whenever they can. The nursery itself is always clean and tidy,
they always go outside for fresh air and do lots of crafts and sensory play. I would definitely recommend it!

The team are so caring and friendly and really help to put you at ease with children transitioning to a nursery setting. The building is lovely. My children eat really well and I always see lots of fresh food being delivered, the chef does a brilliant job with variety!

My daughter absolutely loves her "big girl school." Since starting, she has really come out of her shell. The staff are amazing. I really couldn't have asked for a better place for her. They do so much each and every day she is thriving.

Our son joined this nursery, long before the building was built at all. He had just turned 2 at that time, has been brought in during the lockdowns and hadn't spoken a word in English. However, we knew this nursery was the best place for him and we have never regretted our choice. Not only does he now
speak and sing in English, but also he is more confident and became more social. The staff are friendly and caring, willing to collaborate with the families, and always take into consideration little individual details, health issues or diet preferences. The new building and equipment are appealing and all educational materials are of an excellent quality at the highest standards. Looking forward to growing up and learning at the Old Station Nursery.

Excellent building and staff to support the early development years of my little one! I cannot think of a better place to use for my child. My child is so happy going to nursery each day. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

The most appealing thing about the nursery is that all the staff members are very caring and loving towards the kids.
I was tense and worried about sending my 2-year-old son to the nursery as he is not very social. He has not been away from home in Covid times. It took a little while, but he is now
settling in well. I have been seeing the staff take extra efforts to help our son settle there. My son still cries when I drop him off at nursery, but someone always picks him and tries to settle him. It is always a calming and breezy moment for a parent to see someone give their child a genuine hug and cuddle.
The nursery is also clean and tidy. I have seen a variety of toys, and the outdoor garden area is good as well. Overall, our nursery experience so far is very good.

I had been apprehensive about sending my daughter to nursery as a whole, but she was now just over two years old and actually asking to go, so had to take the leap. After visiting a few nurseries, I visited The Old Station Nursery and absolutely loved it. My little girl came to visit too and straight
away she was off playing and not even acknowledging I was there. The nursery is new, so everything is spotless and the setting is lovely, but not everything has been ready to go. Despite that, my daughter has settled in really well there and I really like the staff too. This morning my daughter said "nursery is my favourite", which was so lovely to hear after wondering if we were doing the right thing. There are a few tears here and there, but she is only in her 4th week of two days a week, but she doesn't grumble about going. Overall, I am really pleased with my decision.

I have no regrets in enrolling my daughter at The Old Station Nursery. The staff is highly welcoming as well. My little one is always so excited to resume at the nursery as she has gotten so used to the key workers in her class.

I could not be happier with the care provided at this nursery, I would go to the length of saying after 6 nurseries between 2 children this is by far the best! My son loves it here and we as parents are so pleased with the relaxed, caring and supportive environment that he is so settled in. Every member
of staff are a credit to the nursery and make his days thoroughly enjoyable. Please keep doing what you are doing.

My daughter has been here for two months. We moved her from a brilliant nursery due to location, and I really didn't expect The Old Station Nursery to be equally as brilliant, but it has been. My daughter seems much more relaxed here, she is confident already. The staff are lovely and have been very
supportive of the family. The communication is really good - the whiteboard updated with the days activities outside is great, and there are also great hangovers, observations shared on an app and phone calls are welcomed. I think this is a very caring nursery, and they seem very on top of the EYF and don't get complacent. The staff work hard to make nursery fun and interesting with lots of learning too.

Our son started at The Old Station nursery in January 2021 after turning three.


From the very first day, he has absolutely loved it - a very different story from his previous nursery where after two years, we still had tears on a daily basis. He now asks to go and see his friends and the ladies!


The ladies are fantastic and have really helped him settle in and develop more than we could have hoped for. He seems to have developed some lovely little friendships already.


We couldn't ask for more from a nursery and would have no doubts about recommending to others.

Our daughter had a wonderful time attending The Old Station Nursery - Rugby (Houlton). The staff and manager are all lovely, taking a very involved role in the children's development and we had great relationships with everyone. Our daughter developed very good craftwork, paintings, alphabets writing,
singing, etc, and she is a very confident toddler and this definitely will help her to mingle with other kids. They also handled the pandemic and all related complications with excellent care and made us feel very comfortable and confident. Genuinely, an excellent nursery and my daughter going to miss them soon as she will be entering reception later this year. I would highly recommend The Old Station Nursery - Rugby (Houlton). Thanks to The Old Station Nursery.

The staff at The Old Satiation Nursery are amazing! They are so kind and caring and generally care about the well-being and happiness of our children. My daughter took a long time to settle, as I changed from being a stay at home Mum, and the staff were so loving and patient with her, now she is thriving,
so confident and has learnt so much too! All learning is done through play and is made so fun that the children don’t even realise they are learning. I have already signed my youngest child up for September, I couldn’t imagine him going anywhere else.

Hello, I'm Gina and I'm the Nursery Manager here at The Old Station Nursery Houlton.


I have 23 years' experience working in early years. I am excited to embark on this new journey with you creating memorable experiences for our children, enhancing their learning and creativity. All of our rooms are adapted to the age and stage of each child's development along with qualified staff who care and nurture each child's needs. I look forward to creating memories with you all.
