Where children are at the heart of everything. Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery offers an incredibly spacious day nursery for children to grow and develop. They offer a secure environment, catering for children between the ages of three months to five years.

They will have four dedicated nursery spaces for the different age ranges, including separate spaces for mobile (Tweenies) and non-mobile babies (Babies). Each room reflects the seven areas of learning as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage and is designed to be accessible to every child.

They aim to be outstanding in all that they do! They take nothing for granted and are committed to constantly monitoring, evaluating and improving their standards of care.

My daughter started Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Colchester when she was eight months old and I have seen so much growth in her physical communication, social communication and emotional development. The staff members are lovely and approachable. My daughter loves it so much there that she does not even

My son has been going to this nursery since November. It was the best decision we made . He absolutely loves it here, always excited to go to the nursery in the morning. The staff are very responsive and always go above and beyond to meet the child’s needs. Highly recommend.

Both my daughters go to the nursery, they excelled really well after joining in the nursery. Staff give a lot of importance to cleanliness and hygiene and during the Covid pandemic they are dealing with it absolutely fantastically - a bubbles system and no mixing - and I felt safe to send my children
in this situation. Staff are very friendly and experienced. My kids love to go to the nursery with joy. I definitely recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending Monkey Puzzle since April this year. She absolutely loves it and as a parent, I feel so happy and feel at ease knowing that she’s in good care when she’s away from us. My little girl has shown immense progress and enjoys all the activities done at the nursery, including
the fun outdoor activities and she looks forward to attending nursery every morning. I cannot emphasise on how impressed I am with nursery, the cleanliness of the premises and efficiency and dedication of the staff and management. I would highly recommend Monkey Puzzle nursery to any parent looking for a safe home away from home care for their child.

My step-daughter loves this nursery! I often drop her off and pick her up and the staff are always very friendly and provide a comprehensive handover. The management are easily approachable and in my experience, they go above and beyond for both the children and their parents. My step-daughter has attended
this nursery since it opened and it is clear to see the benefits and influences it has on her, for example, she has made many friends here and it definitely aids with her social confidence. Monkey Puzzle are always providing fun, interactive activities for the children, photos of which are updated onto the app, so you can see what your child has been doing and they also provide details of what they've eaten, too. The Manager, is very interactive with parents, sending regular emails to check-in and ask for feedback or any suggestions.
Overall, all things considered, I would 100% recommend Monkey Puzzle to anyone who is looking for childcare in the area!

I can not recommend this setting enough!
Since my son started here he has been so happy. He loves coming to Monkey Puzzle. The staff are very communicative and approachable, the setting is safe and secure, the menu choices are fantastic, and the site has sufficient parking for ease at pick up and
drop-offs. The staff here are so conscientious, it really shines through no matter which team member you speak to.
There is a real sense of community between parents and staff. The app they use to communicate is great so I can rest assured my son is having a great day with updates throughout the day. Covid has put a massive strain on these types of provisions but Monkey Puzzle have handled them amazingly assuring me all measures are in place and my son is as safe as possible during the current climate.
Regular communication is in place and you really do get such a great vibe from this place.
I would highly recommend Monkey Puzzle to anyone.

I can not recommend Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery more highly. Our son started at the nursery from around 9-months-old and he flourished from the beginning. The staff are absolutely fantastic and I felt completely happy with him being there - I knew that he was going to get top-quality childcare and be

Monkey Puzzle is home from home for my little boy. As soon as we stepped through the door we felt welcomed. Continued fun activities are supplied throughout the day for the children and are based on the children’s interests. I am also able to keep track of his daily meals, nappies and sleeps while I’m
working as well as seeing photos and observations of how he’s developing. My son has come on in leaps and bounds since joining Monkey Puzzle and has become so much more confident in himself. The staff are kind, approachable and very knowledgeable. As soon as we step in the door in the morning, my son is greeted with big smiles and warm welcomes. He holds his arms up for cuddles with all the staff which makes me so happy. He is offered nutritional tasty meals and his allergies and dietary needs are well catered for with substitutes based on the same as the other children’s meals so he doesn’t miss out on enjoying things with his friends. All in all I would 100% recommend Monkey Puzzle.

The staff here are absolutely brilliant! My daughter has been going there since day 1 and she has come on leaps and bounds and loves going to nursery! Her key workers have always been really involved and have shown a keen interest in her development. The managers are always asking for feedback which

There is nothing bad I could say about the nursery! My little boy loves it and has created such a great bond with all the staff when joining everyone does everything they can to make sure that you’re comfortable. My son has been going to Monkey puzzle Colchester since September 2019, since attending Monkey puzzle he has advanced so much, he had a brilliant time there on every day he attended, he's got some lovely bonds with the staff, we always knew that my son was safe and well looked after, we were always
told how he has been exactly what he's done, what he had mealtimes and how much of it. He is only had to leave because we are moving further afield, the team are amazing always happy to help, the only thing I could ask is that the nursery and team move with us ??

Great nursery with great facilities and staff. Everybody there is kind, helpful and encouraging. Our daughter has been there for over a year now and they have helped her really develop. She had difficulties with speech and they have been working with us to improve this. Since going to the nursery she’s
become more confident in herself and with other children. We feel like this is putting her on the right track for starting school.
Would highly recommend this nursery.

My son goes to Monkey Puzzle Nursery in Colchester. He started in Sept 2019 and in only a few months we've noticed a difference in him. He's talking more and seems more confident. He loves talking about what he's done during the day and about all his friends. I'm so happy with how he has been treated

Very nice and safe place. My two and half-year-old daughter could not settle into the previous nursery that she had been to. The staff at Monkey Puzzle, Colchester have been great and helped her during the settling in process and now she absolutely loves going there. It’s a very neat and clean place
and the food is freshly prepared onsite. They cater to individual needs and there is always something else on a plate if the child refuses a meal, so the kids are not tired or hungry at any time. Very friendly and pleasant staff and we are very happy there.

Such a lovely nursery with staff that genuinely care about the children. You can see all the children learning through play and having lots and lots of fun.

Monkey Puzzle is a fantastic nursery. My little girl, who is three, has been going to this nursery since September 2019. She goes two days a week and enjoys every moment, she always leaves there very happy and content.
The management and staff are fantastic, hard-working, very approachable and very
friendly. The facilities are great, the outdoor area is really good, and the room indoors is very spacious. The snacks and food menus are great, my daughter really enjoys the food there, Best of all, there is a really good selection of activities for my child to choose from and enjoy whilst building up her skills to prepare her; for school starting this year.

The staff at Monkey Puzzle are so welcoming and professional. We moved to Colchester about a year now and I had my son in a previous nursery but he used to cry when I dropped him off or picked him up. I then changed to Monkey Puzzle Nursery and I’ve never seen him so happy, so confident and so keen

I cannot recommend Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery at Colchester enough. From the first day I went along to view the facilities I felt at ease knowing my daughter would have an amazing time there. The management team and staff deeply care for every child there and they learn so much. My daughter has had an

My daughter started Monkey Puzzle back in March, and I must say, I don't think I could have picked a better nursery for her. The staff are amazing, warm and welcoming and they listen to everything you have to say and take every suggestion on board. I also feel like they took time out to study my child
and cater appropriately to her needs; the report at the end of the day is detailed, which is very comforting for me.
The staff really go above and beyond to create an amazing atmosphere and my daughter loves coming to the nursery.

Hello, my name is Manjit and I am the owner of Monkey Puzzle Colchester. I am originally from Kent, but recently relocated to Essex with my wife and business partner Sandy, and our two lovely children, Siena and MJ.Nursery Staff


I do not come from a childcare background, I successfully achieved a BA in Accountancy in 2003 and worked in the city for a number of years. Over time I decided that office work was not for me and I wanted to direct my expertise elsewhere. My wife and I both decided that we wanted a new challenge and chose childcare as our first business venture; we had observed a number of shortcomings and weaknesses from our son’s Nursery and became passionate about quality childcare and felt a strong desire to do it ourselves and do it better.


Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries are an excellent childcare business to be a part of, we knew we were moving into a thriving childcare industry but Monkey Puzzle stood out as a chain to invest in due to its longstanding reputation and proven success rates.


In my spare time I love watching Football (Chelsea :0)). I play cricket, badminton and enjoy running. I also love spending time with my family and friends.
