Funding & Fees Guide for Godmanchester Pre-School

  • Current fees are: £23.00 per 3 hours session for 2, 3 and 4-year-old's, and £46.00 for a full day (08:45am - 2:45pm for 2, 3 and 4 year old's).


    Children are eligible for funding in the term following their third birthday. All 3 and 4 Year olds can access funded hours, and if eligible up to 30 funded hours.


    If your child is two-years old, your child may be eligible to attend the 2 year old funded childcare programme.

  • All fee's are subject to review and advance notice will be given of any changes.

Really friendly and supportive group of people. They've really made our son feel welcome and taught him lots of new things, they've also helped us discover more about his learning so we can encourage more developmental behaviour at home.
They regularly update us using the app, so we can see what he's
like away from home. Our child is very fond of his teachers and talks about his school to everyone with a big smile on his face.

I sometimes care for a 3-year-old who attends this Pre-School. I love that the children are welcomed at the entrance gate by the Nursery Manager. Even though she has to wear a mask, her voice is kind and there are clear routines to help the children feel secure. Their backpacks are received at the door
and the staff greet the children by name. I have seen the language improve so much this term! (he knows that I don't understand his family's "home" language so uses English all the time when talking to me about "cars", "plants" "not milk, water!" and we look at the app together. We talk about his friends by name and he corrects me if I say the name of a member of staff incorrectly). The photos on the app show drinks, special Eid food, fun with sand and role play and he gets excited talking to me about them! In my garden, we have soaked the plants with water from my watering can - so he really enjoys growing things! His ability to sit and enjoy books like "Dear Zoo" is so good.

Amazing place for children! Professional staff who’s doing a great job with kids. Always get answers for questions and help if needed. Everything posted on the app so you can see your child’s learning journey and photos. My second child will definitely go there in the future!

No acknowledgement when I had asked to take my son out of the preschool for concerns about another member of the staff. The manager just read my message and completely blanked it. The preschool itself was okay until we had an issue and I raised it and then it all turned a bit sour and things got turned
around on me very quickly as in them using my mental health against me to the social services, but only after I said about the member of staff I was concerned about. The concern I raised was pretty much ignored so I have no choice but to take my son out. May I add the setting deputy and senior were great. The only person that really acknowledged me when I walked through the gates to drop/pick my son up.

My child adores coming here and will always choose a nursery day over one at home.
The staff are all extremely friendly and really get to know the children and deal with them as individuals rather than as just a collective.

My son loves going into preschool every day. The setting offers a great sized space and lots of indoor and outdoor activities to keep the children busy. The staff are brilliant and great when communicating with parents. I receive regular updates so that I can see what my son has been up to every day.
Would highly recommend.

This is a wonderful pre-school. Since my little boy started in September he has grown so much in so many abilities. The level of activities are vast and he even asks at the weekends to go.
The communication is fantastic and we are always receiving updates of his day and any support he may require
at home.
The staff are friendly, engaging and have the children’s best interest in mind at all times. I am so glad we chose this setting!

My daughter has been at this nursery for the last 12 months. She has settled well and all the staff are so lovely and welcoming.
The setting has coped so well since the return to pre-school post coronavirus closure.

Our daughter settled very quickly into pre-school and loves coming. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help with any problems. Good amount of feedback given vis the app, but would be nicer to have more relating to our daughters than generic posts.
However, this may be a reflection of the
setting getting busier.

My little boy loves coming to pre-school. He gets so excited to see the staff and his friends, he tells me about all the fun things he gets up to.

My little one only comes one day a week, so every week when I leave her, she is a bit cuddly and doesn't want to stay. Staff are excellent and always try to keep her happy before I leave. Every time I pick her up, she is very happy and tells me she had a great day!

and communication is great!
