Bryanston Nursery in Marble Arch, London provides early years learning for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery is set in an architecturally beautiful building – The Church of the Annunciation, in the heart of London. The newly refurbished interior (completed November 2018) has a modern, almost industrial, look which provides for an interesting environment. The rooms have glass panelling that ensures all the children can see and be seen, beyond the room they are in, the nursery is blessed with light and space.

Safeguarding each child is of paramount importance to the manager and the team. The light, spacious setting lends its self to this perfectly, as everyone is visible and the children are able to build strong bonds with the whole staff team as well as their key person which in turn leads to them feeling safe, secure and comfortable and supports them to be confident learners.

The nursery has installed a state-of-the-art security system to help keep children safe, video entry on the main door and biometric fingerprint entry into the areas where children play.

In addition, the nursery has facilities for parents and staff in their beautiful parent/staff lounge that offers free tea & coffee and free, secure WIFI so parents can sit and relax whilst settling their children or just finish off sending those emails at the end of a day before collecting their child from the care of their keyperson.

My daughter joined the nursery when she was almost 2 years old and currently finishing up pre-school with the nursery. I cannot recommend it enough for working parents, given their late pick policy which helped us tremendously during times when I was stuck in the tube or a meeting ran over. The staff
are incredibly kind, supportive and attentive. They have been family to us and our daughter enjoyed every minute of her journey with the nursery. If you are looking for an outstanding nursery that will truly care for your child and prioritise them over everything else, look no further than Bryanston Nursery.

My daughter started the nursery back in May 2023, when she just turned one and the experience has been amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, each and every one of them is so kind, and friendly and creates such a welcoming space for the children. I have noticed such a development in my
child since her attendance. We are having to relocate and therefore, sadly, the nursery is no longer convenient otherwise she would remain until pre-school.
I highly, highly recommend it! Thank you for looking after our little girl!

My son was at Bryanston when he was 3 years old and the staff and care received at Bryanston Nursery were exceptional! He is very high-spirited and a picky eater, they were firm but kind disciplinarians and were great with re-introducing him to nutritional foods. One staff member in particular and the
headmistress were very kind and helpful during our time there, adaptable to parents' needs and understanding of both the child's and parent's needs. My goddaughter is also attending Bryanston in the toddler room, with great results. Top marks for security, fingerprint entry for parents and buggy transfer to the park.

My daughter attended Bryanston Nursery for three years. She started in the baby room and finished at the age of 4 years old in pre-school. Our whole experience with the nursery has been amazing. All the staff are excellent and very friendly and made our daughter feel like part of a family. The practitioners
are very patient, caring and the days are always filled with great activities. She has left nursery with the essential skills and values the importance of being caring and friendly. She loved the food at nursery and it has always been very nutritious. The nursery hours are incredibly flexible, so much more than other nurseries we looked at and have helped us to combine family and working life. The space is clean, bright and airy, the use of the nearby square is perfect. Our whole experience at Brystanton has been excellent. Highly recommended.

My son spent the last year in the pre-school section at Bryanston Nursery and I would highly recommend it. The teachers and staff are warm and welcoming and I was very impressed by the creative learning activities. Every week was a new theme and my son was so excited to tell me all about the different
topics he had learned about. Activities were a mixture of hands on, listening and watching. He really loves his teachers and the other kids there. In addition, the food always looks delicious and healthy. The management were very helpful, quick to answer questions and always willing and interested to sit down and discuss any issues, concerns, etc. They share a lot on the app with parents and it's such a nice way to see what the kids are up to. A wonderful nursery!

My firstborn joined the nursery in April this year. I was immediately drawn to it because of the warm and engaging nature of the staff who work there and by the large, bright, friendly facilities and access to safe and lovely outdoor spaces. My son, at that time 8 months old, adjusted very quickly.
In just a few months he has strong relationships with his key person and most of the other staff, has jumped in his motor skills and is now extremely social with other babies. I love that they do lots of activities and share those back with the parents and I know he is always getting good exercise and healthy meals. Highly recommend!

My son joined the nursery in January 2021 after spending his first year in lockdown and with restrictions so I was worried about how he would settle in. I obviously didn’t need to be as Bryanston Nursery were so friendly and brilliant at helping him settle and it was lovely to see him with a big smile
on his face at the end of the day. The staff there are wonderful and so reassuring, as well as being lovely. They really look after the babies and the updates on the app are great and I have really enjoyed seeing all his photos. His development has also been amazing to see. He had just turned one when he started and in a space of 2 weeks, he was walking, talking and making huge progress. The nursery have also taken him out for walks which he has loved as well as enjoying the messy play. Sadly we are moving out of London but I wish we could take Bryanston Nursery with us as it’s been such a wonderful place for my son.

Our youngest girl started at Bryanston at 11 months and our oldest (3 years old) joined her in June 2020 when nurseries reopened after lockdown. We first chose Bryanston after visiting 2 other facilities in Marylebone. We have not been disappointed. The carers are kind and loving. Both our girls got
really attached to their key person. Every day they came back from nursery happy with a big smile. The place is bright and clean. They have an outside space the kids love for when they don't go to the park. My girls loved the food which is made on site. The management is the best. They provided clear written guidance on reopening after lockdown which really put us at ease. They are flexible, responsive and reliable. Really good communication and values in line with ours. As working parents, when your children are at nursery all day, it is reassuring to know they are in a caring environment and that your reality is understood by management.

My baby boy was at Bryanston Nursery for 2 months: May and June 2019. When I first brought him, he was 11 weeks old (imagine how nervous I was about leaving my baby at the nursery at first!). I was a student and I had no choice but choose a nursery and just go with it.
I think I made the best choice
possible. The first criteria were related to the fact that it was in a central area, close to the college, and that there were not too many babies in a room. Bryanston Nursery proved to be much more than this. Starting with the management that is welcoming and makes sure that everything is ok and all my needs and requirement are met, the staff who are professional, caring and always smiling, the place which is very clean, warm and pleasant.
I highly recommend the nursery to all parents, whether your child is very young or a little bit older.

My 17-month-old son has been at Bryanston for five months starting in the baby room and moved to the toddler room a couple of months ago. The nursery is fantastic for working parents as it provides everything - all meals and snacks, nappies and even washes dirty clothes.
The staff are great and really
care about the little ones. They are very interactive with the children and teach them to be independent - my son has been eating with a fork for 4 months. They follow your child’s routine rather than forcing the child to follow theirs. My son became very attached to his key worker and they managed his transition to the toddler room very sensitively.
The nursery is lovely and new with lots of good toys and areas to explore. The kids do arts and crafts every day and they have a water play/sandpit and a slide. Although the nursery is in the basement, they have access to a local garden. They utilise the ParentZone app, which allows regular updates of my son's day with pictures.

We are really happy with choosing Bryanston Nursery for our daughter.

The staff has put extra effort into helping our daughter settle in and they've been very helpful and flexible with finding the right schedule for her.

The indoor space is large and kept clean, and the ability to take the children

to Portman Square adds a lot to their experience of outdoor activities.

The communication is always good between us and the staff, and there is an app to monitor the progress of our daughter and day to day activities.
I highly recommend it!

We are very happy to have chosen Bryanston Nursery for our 2 yr old. The space is new, bright, and clean. Staff are very caring, sweet and attentive. They keep us up to date with everything the kids are doing throughout the day. Kids are taken to the park very often and get to play with different things
all the time.
We visited almost all the nurseries in the area and found Bryanston to be the best one. They are extremely flexible to suit each family’s needs.

We recently moved to the area and I researched all the nurseries within walking distance of our home in Marylebone that accept children under two years of age (4 nurseries in total) and can definitely say Bryanston Marble Arch is the best by far! The spacious rooms, on-site outdoor space (a rarity),
on-site chef, and attentive staff all make for a wonderful atmosphere. Everything from the natural color scheme (not the overstimulating of most other nurseries) and tidy/uncluttered selection of toys and activities attracted me right away. They also have a very helpful app that sends me updates and photos throughout the day. In regards to security, it's the only option I toured that I felt had adequate controls with cameras and fingerprinting. The staff has also worked with my son to help him learn skills such as drinking from a cup.

We moved over to this nursery from a previous one and I made the best decision ever, I can not be happier with them. The staff are extremely helpful and they always keep me up to date with my daughter's progress and keep me updated throughout the day. My daughter must love it because in the morning
she is always looking forward to going into nursery which helps me a lot as a working parent. I would not change this nursery for anything, the facilities are great, everything so clean, communication is great and the fact that they work with you if you have any queries with your child is great. I also feel that my daughter has learnt a lot from this nursery. I can definitely see a huge difference.

The manager and the rest of the team are doing their very best to support working parents. They are flexible and willing to go the extra mile to care for my baby in accordance with my wishes. Also, the children get to go outside very regularly thanks to the access to Portman Square. Thank you for the
great help.

We have been taking our twins to Bryanston nursery a couple of days a week since they opened in January and are very happy with the staff and the care they are giving our boys. Between having individual attention, following our guidance on schedule and food, and sharing moments via their app, we trust
them with the care they provide. Their safeguarding and cleanliness are great and there is ample space for the kid's exploration, so all-in-all we would recommend any parent consider Bryanston for their childcare.

We love this great nursery! Providing First class care to families living and working in central London, the nursery is very well equipped and run, with fantastic attention to detail like state of the art air purifiers and special lighting have been installed to create the best possible environment
for the children in spacious premises, flexible hours to suit every budget, very well qualified in-house staff who are caring and thoughtful. We get regular updates on our child throughout the day every day, there's an In-house chef preparing fresh, tasty and healthy meals for the children, excellent daily activities with an emphasis on fun education is provided by the staff and overseen by a very experienced manager who always has time for the parents. Nappies, creams, and laundry service is also provided with no extra cost. Our child loves it there and can't wait to go every morning.
The bar has been raised very high for child care in central London.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.264)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.264) out of 10 for Bryanston Nursery @ Marble Arch is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.889 for Bryanston Nursery @ Marble Arch is calculated as follows: ( (33 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.889

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.375 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bryanston Nursery @ Marble Arch is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 120 number of registered child places is 24. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 24 = 0.125

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
