As children progress to the 2-4 room, they have free-flow access to the garden, where they can play and learn with age-appropriate resources such as a digital computer table, role play area, and arts and crafts area. The nursery also focuses on preparing children for their journey to school.

As a first-time mum, the anxiety of leaving your baby with either people is undescribable. Old Station Nursery was the only place after viewing I felt that anxiety ease. I knew straight away it was the place for my boy to start with his journey. They are friendly, supportive, understanding and show
my little boy kindness. I have no regrets choosing Old Station Nursery.

My little boy has attended since November and his development and communication has come on leaps and bounds!
The nursery staff are all very welcoming and lovely and very patient with the little ones! my little boy took some time to settle at first and now practically runs into nursery! The children
are constantly occupied with different activities and messy trays and it's so lovely to have the app to see photos of all the things your little one has got up to!!
Before choosing this nursery I visited 7 other childcare settings and this one was by far my favourite.

Both our children are currently at Old Station Road Mottershead, one is in preschool, and the other is in the baby room. Both children are really happy at nursery and have built positive relationships with the staff. The staff are wonderful, and we can see that many genuinely care and love our children.
We always feel confident that our children are completely safe and will be beautifully cared for.
The manager is so helpful, caring and extremely approachable. She is a real asset! She makes it so easy to communicate our needs and will respond very quickly. The teams in both rooms are brilliant.
The chef also works really hard in the kitchen and offers a great selection of nutritious food!
The new space outside is great, and my preschooler loves how much outside time there is!

We couldn't be happier with our son's nursery. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and dedicated, creating a warm and welcoming environment where every day is both fun and enriching.
Since joining, our son has absolutely thrived and his confidence has grown. He's made wonderful friendships, and
he's learning so much every day. The activities are always engaging and well thought out, and it's clear that the team genuinely cares about the children's happiness and development.


The building itself is fantastic, both inside and out, providing a safe, bright, and stimulating space for the children to learn and play.


Communication with the nursery is excellent, and as parents, it's so reassuring to know he is in such safe and loving hands.


We highly recommend this nursery.

Outstanding Nursery - Highly Recommended!


Our daughter has thrived at The Old Station Nursery at Mottershead Drive. The communication with parents is exceptional, with regular updates and full transparency. The nursery is clean, safe, and secure, with caring, approachable staff who genuinely prioritise

the children's well-being.


Since joining, our daughter has come on leaps and bounds, thanks to fantastic social interaction with staff and children. The new garden with wood chippings provides a great, safe outdoor space. The structured routine includes healthy meals, regular nappy changes, and flexible drop-off/pick-up times.


A special shout-out to the manager and our daughter's primary learner for their incredible care and support! Staff qualifications are easily accessible, and while cost is average, the care is worth it. If I had to nitpick, a small improvement would be local CCTV for staff use only to improve reassurance. that aside l, Highly recommend this nursery!

My daughter has been attending the Old Station Nursery since July.
I was very nervous about leaving my little Velcro baby to begin with as we had never spent a day apart. The settling sessions offered were a brilliant help and within just a couple of weeks, she had really started to adjust to nursery
and being without mummy. Her relationship with all of the ladies in the baby room has continued to grow ever since and she is now super confident with all of them and cannot wait to get through the door to see them all and her friends. Especially her key worker who is her absolute bestie!

My 3 year old has been attending this nursery since 2024. Before he joined he didn't really speak much but his speech has came on amazingly! He's such a little confident boy now because of nursery. The staff are so lovely and I don't think there is a better nursery out there.

My son has been at Mottershead Drive for almost a year now in the baby room & he has always been so settled and always happy to go in - the happy, smiley greetings from the staff at the door every morning also go a long way! He talks about all of the baby room staff at home & his speech has come along
so much recently. You can really tell they spend the time to carefully plan the activities around each individual child's interests to help them develop. He will be settling in the older room over the next few months, so I just wanted to say thank you to the AMAZING baby room staff for everything you've done! :)

My daughter has attended OSN Mottershead Drive for about a year now and she absolutely loves it. You're always guaranteed a friendly happy welcome every morning with lovely upbeat members of staff. There is a wide range of activities for her to do and to keep her occupied throughout the day. She has
made lots of friends at nursery and it has a real homely vibe to it too. The outside garden area is fantastic and has lots of things for them to do no matter what the weather. I'm so happy we chose this setting for our daughter to thrive in. The staff are second to none- the loveliest, friendliest and most caring team, they really are an asset to the OSN brand.

We have been really pleased with our experience at Mottershead Drive, Old Station Nursery. The staff have been fantastic, taking the time to get to know our daughter, and we can see that they genuinely care for and listen to her. This has really helped her settle in and enjoy her time at nursery.

Our son has attended Mottershead Drive since July 2024, we have been extremely happy with all of the staff we have encountered. Mottershead Drive is an excellent nursery! Our eldest has attended now for 3 years and is currently in the pre-school. He's developed so much during his time at OSN and I feel he's well on his way to being school ready.
The staff are exceptional, passionate and genuinely care about the children. Our
youngest has recently started the baby room. This is always a hard transition for any parent (and baby), but the staff support you and listen to your needs. Our son settled in so fast, he eats, sleeps and plays well, a very happy baby. A big thanks to a particular member of staff who has massively stood out to help our sons transition in the baby room, a very strong member of staff who has been consistently approachable, and has formed such a lovely bond with our son and he's only been there for a few months. Another member of staff has been an excellent addition to the 2-4 room, she forms great relationships with the kids and her passion shines through. The manager makes the nursery great, a real asset to the OSN

Since my little girl has started nursery we have had nothing but amazing things to say. Everyone is so lovely and really takes time to listen and answer any questions we may have had. She seems to be settling so much each time she comes in. Everyone in the baby room has been so welcoming and has really
made me feel at ease. I want to give special thanks to one staff member in particular in the baby room who every time we drop off or pick our daughter up she's always there giving such a great handover and is so bubbly and friendly. Our daughter seems really settled with her and will now go to her when I drop her off in the morning. I'm so glad this staff member is in the baby room and has made me feel so relaxed about dropping her off. I will be recommending this nursery to everyone.

We have had a great experience with The Old Station Nursery from the beginning. Our daughter always comes home with a smile on her face and is making faster progress than from her previous setting. All of the staff are lovely and always make the time and effort to discuss and implement any necessary
adjustments. Hand-overs are great too, with plenty of detail that feels personal to our child. We especially like the app which tells us all about her day. The food they provide is home made on site and always sounds delicious and nutritious. Our daughter particularly likes the easy access to the outdoors. We would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

We had 2 boys at The Old Station Nursery with the older one finishing recently as he is due to start school. The older child has autism and The Old Station Nursery staff were very caring and accomodating to his needs. In particular his key worker. Our youngest still attends the nursery and is getting
on very well and is making great progress learning the skills a 2-year-old typically struggles with (the importance of sharing etc). Thank you for your work everyone.

I never believed that my child with stay at nursery without crying and give me a little kiss (he is a mommy boy!), but with the patience of the staff first, then his key worker, this miracle happened to me.

I can't praise the staff and the way they look after my kids enough. My 1-year-old girl launches herself at her keyworker every morning she goes. And my little boy (3 years old) has a different story to tell each day.
The staff always supported his interests and a special thank you to whichever worker
introduced him to 'a bit of both' at breakfast time. It's now one of his favourite things to ask for a bit of both when he has a choice of cereal!
Handovers are always thorough and the observations are informative on how their week has been and how they are developing.
Also a special thanks to the chef. 99% of handovers include the phrase 'he/she ate all of their snacks/lunch/dinner with seconds'. So I know they're well fed and the meals always sound like something I want to eat.
The activities my 3-year-old does vary so much and we love that he has free access to a safe outdoor space and know he spends as much time as possible playing out there.
Glad we chose this nursery!

Fantastic all around. We had previously had our son at another nursery and he just wouldn't settle, it was suggested we try another nursery. Mottershead are so welcoming and our son has fitted right in, he loves going to nursery now. He's probably a little sad when he leaves at the end of the day. We
feel like we are getting really personalised service and all the staff are wonderful.
