My son has been going to this nursery for 3 years and I can see clearly that Motterhead Drive branch dropped from excellent to satisfactory. I see a lot of chaos since the last manager left. Mixed up clothes, wet kids, fewer details about food and sleep and overall, almost no photo updates on the parents'
app. I think this branch suddenly took much more kids than they can handle. I still like this place, it just saddens me to see it different in that way. But I do still recommend it to NATO contingents, as ever.

Thank you for your feedback! Our team take great pride in their learning environments and so your comments will be passed on to them, so that they can improve on the tidiness of the rooms. As a group, we are always trying to improve our communication with our families. We aim to provide high quality and regular updates through our social media channels, monthly nursery newsletter, bi-monthly group newsletter and via our parent app. Following the recent changes to the EYFS in September 2021, the number of updates that you will receive on the parent app will have reduced slightly to once per week. The new EYFS curriculum aims to reduce the nursery team’s paperwork/admin workload so that the staff can spend more valuable time with the children in their care! We have been very lucky with the key workers our son has had during his time at Mottershead Drive nursery. The keyworker was fantastic in the 0 to 2 room and the keyworker is equally amazing in the 2-4 room. Both take the time to give great feedback so we understand what kind of day he has had and how

I always have a wonderful conservation with all the staff! They are all very informative and friendly. Looking at the pictures, my daughter seems to enjoy all the activities done in the nursery. She has learned so much.

Staff are very good at their jobs and look after my child very well. I will recommend The Old Station Nursery, Mottershead Drive. My child enjoys being at preschool and can recognise numbers. Since reviewing last time, I am really happy to see some changes have been made. The staff seem happier and have time to chat. I feel they really know my little boy which I think is really important. He is always happy with the food choices and loves all the staff members who come to the door to greet
him. I feel my little boy is safe at nursery. From looking at photos on eyLog, the environment looks really inviting and he always looks like he’s having the best time. A great idea to move the big ones downstairs for more free flow outside - perfect for my outdoorsy child! I had noticed he’d been coming home with a soiled nappy but since I mentioned it, this has not happened.

My daughter settled in immediately and loves going to the nursery every morning. She is so happy and well cared for, and we are extremely happy with the staff and facilities at Mottershead nursery. I would highly recommend it to all!

My daughter absolutely loves going to the nursery. Every day she runs in with a smile on her face and not even a backward glance. The staff are friendly and approachable, always there to help with any queries and provide full details of all my child’s activities and how she’s been that day.

My son has been attending this nursery since January, and I am so pleased with the decision that I made to send him to this nursery. Even though at the beginning my son was reluctant to attend nursery, he soon overcomes this thanks to your supportive and amazing staff. I can't speak highly enough of
the level of care and dedication my son receives when he is at nursery, I know he is in safe hands.

My has been at nursery for over a year and loves it! We chose the nursery as it was so friendly and cosy whilst having lots of space and loads to do outdoors too. My son started nursery last month based on a recommendation from a friend and he absolutely loves it. I like that they spend lots of time outside in the garden and also you get weekly pictures and daily updates via an app with lots of detail about sleep times etc. All of the nursery staff are friendly.
Would be great if there was more parking but normally this isn't an issue (and wouldn't stop me from recommending the actual nursery).

Our son started at Mottershead last year, having been in contact with very few people due to lockdown and not having attended nursery before. From the very beginning, the whole team have been incredibly supportive of both my son and us as parents. In all the interactions we've had, I've known them to
be genuine, kind and to truly care. The staff have gone above and beyond. Examples have included times when a comment I've made in the conversation has been thought about and used as the basis of an observation to explore the area of development more fully. It is a small nursery with a personal feel, with interactions with all members of staff feeling like they really know my son, and care about us as a family. My son is happy to go to nursery, and I have no doubt that is in large part due to how thoughtful the staff have been to go at a pace that suits him, and how empathic they are. Thank you!

I highly recommend The Old Station Nursery' at Mottershead Drive. We are so thankful for the amazing experience they provide for our daughter. She absolutely loves her time with them, and it is so reassuring how eager she is to run in through the doors in the morning. The activities are so varied and
stimulating, they go above and beyond to provide a wonderful environment that makes exploring, playing and learning so fun. I am really impressed with how much outdoor play there always is, whatever the weather, the forest school and the animals are amazing.


During this time, it's been so hard to get the socialisation and breadth of activities for her, which has made the time at nursery all the more valuable. The staff are all amazing; they take so much interest in your child and love sharing their successes of the day when you collect. I am incredibly grateful for all their hard work, which is shown in all the developmental changes our daughter is making. Thank you so much!

My daughter started in December 2020. I was very nervous about her starting because she had at the point had very little interaction with anyone other than the people in our house. The nursery staff were very welcoming and understanding of me being slightly anxious, but they have done an amazing job
with helping my daughter settle, and she is happy; I love seeing the photos that get posted up. A few times, I have called up, as my daughter has been poorly, and even then, they have said, if I need anything, then to let them know. I can't thank them enough for the amazing work they do and for helping with my daughter, who I thought was going to be screaming and crying every day. She so settled there that she even falls asleep on staff members! Thank you to the Mottershead team for all their hard work, it does not go unnoticed.

The staff are very caring and passionate, really helping my child to settle in with introductory sessions. My child loves going to nursery, and that must be due to the staff and the great facilities and varied activities that are provided. They pack a lot into the day. All requirements are catered for,
and it's easy to get hold of staff members by phone, email or face to face at the beginning/end of the day.
The app is a little clunky to use but holds a wealth of detailed info on your child's day, including some usually amusing photos.
Hope the direct debit issue gets resolved soon and would love a tour once able again.

This nursery has provided our daughter, who has additional needs, with a safe and caring environment in which she has gained so much confidence. We know that she will have the time and attention she requires and that staff really know and understand her. The coordinator is beyond excellent with skills,
knowledge and huge amounts of experience. Communication is excellent, and without this nursery, I wouldn’t have been able to cope throughout this very difficult period.

Outstanding nursery, providing brilliant care. The staff are incredibly kind, friendly, lovely and patient. My husband and I have full confidence in them when we leave our little daughter in the mornings. She is so happy and enjoys her time at the nursery. She has plenty of learning opportunities through
play. We couldn’t have chosen a better nursery, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Having moved to the local area when our son was 12-months-old, it was really tricky finding a nursery to compete with the one he had been attending previously. Having unsuccessfully tried other nurseries, we found The Old Station Nursery, Mottershead Drive and knew it was brilliant right from the start.
The staff are truly exceptional. From the first phone call, they were accommodating, friendly and professional. They are caring, have so much energy for the children, and I have the utmost confidence in leaving my child in their care.
My son is a late talker, and despite struggling with his speech, they are going above and beyond to support both him and us in his development.
The setting is quite small, but we particularly liked the fact that it felt very calm and welcoming. It is clean, the food is great, and my son loves the sensory room. The forest school is also a huge bonus, and I love how much exposure the children have to the outdoors - especially for energetic little boys like mine!
