Crescent Day Nursery, set in a converted building not far from Birmingham city centre, offers a welcoming and inclusive setting. Great public transport links make the nursery a convenient option for commuting parents, and the onsite parking makes drop offs and pick ups as easy as possible.

Lovingly restored, children benefit from the setting's large and characterful spaces. There are four playrooms in the nursery as well as a safe and secure garden to ensure children benefit from time spent outdoors.

A range of resources and activities are designed and implemented by an experienced and kind team, with every aspect of provision created with the EYFS principles in mind, seeking to promote social, emotional and physical development.

Parents and families benefit from a fully inclusive service that includes formula milk, nappies, nappy cream, baby wipes, sun cream and freshly prepared, well-balanced meals throughout the day.

Crescent Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Mini Athletics every alternate Monday and Friday morning from 10am to 11:30am for their Bumblebee and Pre School rooms.

*7am start is available at an additional cost. Standard opening time is 7.30am.

My son is in the preschool room of nursery, he started his journey in Crescent Day Nursery two years back.
I love the service the care and dedication provided by the Crescent’s team. Thank you for looking after my child in early years. Caring for him when I was away at work and I knew he was in a safe
environment.
My son will miss Crescent’s whole team who was involved in his care when he will start school this year. X

My little boy has been at Creasant Day Nursery for just over a year and I don't have a bad word to say about the setting. The facilities are beautiful, the staff are all so kind and caring and they go above and beyond for each and every child. My little boy comes home full of stories about his day and
wakes up extra early on nursery days with excitement.

Both of our children attend Crescent Day Nursery and they are extremely happy there. The care provided by all of the staff and key workers is second to none and both of our girls are developing really well. Crescent go above and beyond to ensure that both children and parents are supported, and we definitely
feel a sense of community. Our girls love going each day and have made lots of friends, and are learning so much. It's a happy and friendly place and we wholeheartedly recommend Crescent Day Nursery to anyone.

We are so happy to be sending our daughter to Crescent Day Nursery. All the staff are caring, attentive and so wonderful and our daughter loves going to nursery. They are always looking for ways to further develop and engage with the children and it is really nice the recent addition of sign language
for the children. The facilities are fantastic as is the outdoor space.

All staff members and key workers are amazing. It was so hard for me to be able to leave my 1-year-old but they made me feel so comfortable and my nearly 2-year-old absolutely loves it, he’s progressed so much and his development has been amazing. I’m always kept up to date with any changes and updated
via the app with his day details and photos.
I’m very happy I chose this nursery and I’m looking forward to seeing him excel in the next rooms he progresses to.

A wonderful start for both of my children at Crescent Day Nursery. One will be going to school in September and Crescent has had a positive influence on her growth, confidence and understanding of the world. Activities, garden time, social events and day trips mean that my older child is always brimming
with excitement to go in and sometimes asks to go in on her days off! My younger child has taken to nursery so positively. He is happy and participates in nursery life, has great connections with nursery staff he is spending time in a place that will really benefit his development. Children are always engaged with activities (I can see when I come to collect my own children) and most seem to form great connections with peers and staff. Feedback is dealt with positively, they are open to hearing and acting upon feedback given. Nutrition is a priority at Crescent, the kitchen team provides wonderfully creative, healthy meals from around the world and both my children eat very well whilst at nursery.

My son started preschool here in August. He moved from another nursery as he has special educational needs and his needs were not met there. The Crescent Day Nursery has been very welcoming and supportive, the staff have lots of experiences with SEN children and I am amazed to see how much my son has
progressed and thrived. From a nonverbal 4-year-old to a chatty child who can verbally express most of his wants and needs in such a short period, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the time and energy they have dedicated to supporting him.

Both of my girls attend Crescent Day Nursery in pre-school and ladybirds. They are both incredibly well looked after and have built some wonderful relationships with their key workers. Much of their development is down to the activities and environment provided by Crescent. My eldest is already looking
forward to going to school and this is down to the encouragement she has received. I can't thank all the staff enough.

I cannot speak highly enough of Crescent Day Nursery. The staff are very attentive and supportive. They have worked very hard with my son to help develop his speech. The activities are both stimulating and varied. Staff are highly qualified and diligent - nothing is too much trouble. They are all very

This is the second nursery my daughter attends. I can say that it is a mile ahead of other nurseries. Dedicated staff, facilities, communication and care of the children are amazing. Freshly cooked food, activities and higher-level educated staff are what makes the nursery. Five stars.

Our daughter started at Crescent Day Nursery towards the end of January and we could not be happier with how she has settled in. Whenever we leave nursery she is excited to tell us all of the things she has done, the names of her friends and what she has eaten. As a child who was nervous of others due
to the isolation of lockdown, we were apprehensive as to how she would cope but the team have really welcomed her in and helped her to feel confident in her environment. We feel that they already have a good sense of her personality and are able to provide activities and experiences that really interest her.

Both of my children now attend this nursery. The care and attention we have received as a family from all staff has been wonderful. My children are very well looked after and Crescent Day Nursery plays a pivotal role in my children’s well-being and education. Key workers are professional, attentive
and caring. From the baby room then moving into the older rooms, navigating the terrible twos, potty training and threenagers, they have helped in all aspects. I don’t ever feel judged by staff if I need advice or support and feel like we can tackle any issues together in a joined-up approach with home and nursery. The facilities are lovely with a great outside space. I love the child-led approach to learning and also love the fact that activities are sometimes ad hoc or just for fun - such as getting the paddling pool out on sunny days. They take a personal approach to each child and their needs which is so reassuring to a parent.

Our daughter started the Crescent in July 2019 when she was 7 months. Choosing a nursery was very hard for us, we looked at many before looking at the Crescent. As soon as we stepped into the Crescent for a show around, we were immediately welcomed with smiles and a warm and clean environment. The children
were playing, engaged, and looked happy. No question asked from us was too much for you to answer. Leaving our baby was hard, however, we were reassured by the gentle approach and great communication from you all. Our daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time at the Crescent, she talks non-stop about what she does, her friends and the staff. It is evident that being at the Crescent has made a positive impact on our daughter. We have been incredibly impressed with the staff’s nurturing, caring and professional approach to childcare. We cannot thank you enough for all you have done in making our daughter feel comfortable, cared for and safe. She will miss you all!

Laura is the manager of Crescent Day Nursery in Birmingham and has a wealth of experience, having worked at Childbase Partnership since 2011. Laura has a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
I love our large outdoor environment the children have a range of experiences and our open-plan layout allows plenty of free flow.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
The range of activities that the practitioners set out for the children and how they go above and beyond for every child. We are also proud of our teamwork and how we all work together.
