Little Bear's In Elephant & Castle is the newest member of the Little Bear’s family, providing high-quality early years education for those in the local area.

Child-led learning and fun is lead by a team of experienced practitioners in a stimulating and engaging environment.

The nursery is divided into three bright and airy base rooms, with an array of high-quality resources to engage and support the children to acquire new skills as part of their learning journey. In addition, the setting has an independent sensory room designed to encourage children to experiment with the resources, develop language skills and create a multi-sensory experience to facilitate learning.

The setting has a large outdoor space with a safety astroturf surface, and an array of engaging resources to meet the needs of the Early Years foundation stage.

Child-led learning and fun are led by a team of experienced practitioners who have built up a great reputation for working in partnership with parents to create a family feel within the nursery.

Tasty and nutritious meals are provided for the children to enjoy, and any special dietary requirements can be catered for.

I am absolutely in love with Little Bear's Nursery. The quality of service is exceptional. The staff are friendly, caring and helpful. My daughter loves going to nursery and it's amazing how well she's picked up good habits since starting with the nursery. She has learnt so much in such a small period
of time, and that proves to me that the nursery do all they can to encourage, entertain and support her. They maintain a clean environment, whilst ensuring to give you frequent updates on your child's progress daily and monthly. Feels like you're a part of their family. I'm proud to have my daughter attend Little Bears, and I will always recommend it.

Both our children have been going to Little Bear's In Elephant Central for nearly 2 years now. We were drawn to the bright, new, clean, and inviting setting of Little Bears. My children are excited to go to the nursery every single day. When we pick our children up we get a brief summary of their day.
And throughout the day we receive observations, photos, meals, and nappy change updates through the app, which allows us not to miss out on anything.
The children's developmental and academic progress reports are thorough, which is also demonstrative of the dedication of the staff to the children's development. Our children have been thriving and have developed greatly at Little Bears in gaining independence, confidence, and curiosity, developing their empathy, learning to do simple and difficult tasks. In addition to what we teach them at home, our children's carers are kind, empathetic, and devoted to their wellbeing, and our children love them!

Little Bear's is a really wonderful nursery.
All of the staff have taken such good care of our daughter. They were so supportive during the settling in period with a dedicated key person providing reassurance for our daughter and us. They have always shown her love and care and she has such a fun time
learning and playing at nursery all thanks to the fantastic team of staff.
The setting is very modern and has a nice big outside space for the kids to play in.
I would highly recommend Little Bear's nursery.

Our child is happy attending Little Bear's. He enjoys himself during his stay, knows all the staff by name and never mentions anything negative. He feels at home there. This speaks to the intimate environment created at the centre by management and staff. We are reassured by our son receiving this high
level of attention and care.

My son has been with Little Bear's nursery for almost 2 years now. I’ve seen his abilities grow rapidly and consistently. He has amazing speech, his ability to listen to instructions gets better every time he comes home from nursery. His social skills are amazing and I’m very happy with his capacity
to learn things such as letters, phonics, numbers and independence. The care workers are so patient and loving. We've loved our experience from day one.

My 3-year-old child started attending this nursery in January 2020 and I am really happy with his progress. When he first started he would cry and scream at the door, three weeks on he runs inside excited, happy and greets every practitioner by their names. My child has also learnt new things which
he practices at home. The staff are really helpful, friendly and understand the needs of your child. An excellent nursery, I would highly recommend.

My daughter has been attending Little Bear's in Elephant for nearly a year and it's been an incredible experience for all of us!


We were concerned about making the leap from a fairly isolated (Covid lockdown) home life to nursery, but it was a very smooth transition. All the staff were (and still

are) very supportive, patient and caring, which made things very easy.


The classrooms are bright and full of super fun activities, which has all helped with her learning and confidence, most notably in her language and use of crayons/pencils etc.


And it's all-inclusive, so great value.


We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery!

The settling sessions went very well. Little Bear's In Elephant Central staff were very accommodating to how my son would be feeling on the day, which allowed him to settle in perfectly. The staff were very friendly, which made us both feel very welcomed. I can definitely see an improvement in terms
of my son's development, he wants to talk more and communicate with expressions. The nursery is always finding ways to improve his self feeding skills and they communicate with me strategies they have tried using and what has worked well for them.

My little boy had a great settling time and felt comfortable very, very soon. He is excited to go to the nursery every morning and jumps around when we arrive there in the morning. Also, the staff are very considerate about his special needs and we are very happy to have chosen this nursery for him.

My son’s first day at nursery was great, he was made to feel very welcomed and he settled in like he had been there for months, the staff really came down to his level and supported and interacted with him for the whole day, he was sad to leave when it was time to go home. I looked forward to seeing

I have been working in the sector for 10 years, I started off as an apprentice gaining my level 3 I then went on to do my level 5 in childcare, I started at Little Bear’s Elephant Central in 2021, and having all of the previous experiences and learning opportunities I was given the chance to become the Nursery Manager which is one of my biggest achievements to date, along with being a Mum to my amazing son!


My aim has always been to provide a safe, enabling, and fun atmosphere for children to be themselves, and give them the environment that they require to reach vital milestones as they start their educational journey. I have attended different training courses which include first aid, advanced safeguarding, manual handling, food hygiene, health and safety and many more!
