Incredible nursery, cannot rate them highly enough! I have a 3-year-old and 1-year-old there, the team really nurture and builds confidence, am always so surprised and impressed by the development both kids have from being there, but most importantly they love going to Fennies. After only a week my
1-year-old was reaching out, smiling, body jiggling with excitement to be left in a really new environment to him, which is a testament to the team, they are just outstanding! Management is always at the frontline too, empathetic, understanding and compassionate, as both working parents I feel so fortunate to have this support not only for my children but we feel hugely supported as parents! I look forward to seeing them all at Fennies every day; how happy my boys are to go there! Highly recommend! Thank you so much to the Fennies team.

The nursery is a lovely environment for children to play, learn and grow. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and have managed to welcome new children and parents into their care during the pandemic with empathy and total professionalism. Highly recommend.

Our son has attended the nursery since September 2019 and has enjoyed every moment. He does weekly Spanish, French and PE lessons. The variety of activities they do are impressive. We have had an excellent experience and feel the opportunities afforded to our son at the nursery are second to none. As
a parent, we are updated daily on what he has done and his development is tracked and easy to follow online with regular observations. The staff are attentive and regularly provide feedback. We feel like we are part of the Fennies Family. We would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

My daughter started at Fennies, Oxted aged 10 months and is now 14 months. We've been really thrilled with the nursery and how the staff helped us make the nursery transition as easy for us all as possible. We're kept really up to date with the goings-on each day through an online system, with lots
of photos and updates. The staff are brilliant at keeping on top of this, compared to what I've heard from friends' nurseries, and it really helps put our minds at ease when we're at work to be able to stay in the loop. The facilities, cleanliness and organisation of the nursery is faultless and what's key is they're ready to take feedback, improve and reassure you around any small thing. There are lots of varied activities for the little ones and the breakfast, lunch and dinner options seem great. Overall we're so pleased with our choice, it's a lovely little community and would recommend it.

My daughter joined in August 2021 at 11 months old. The staff have all been so friendly and accommodating so far. They were very supportive during the settling-in and had lots of great reassurance. They offer a great variety of meals and games to stimulate their learning. I really enjoy the care diary
entries to see what my daughter has been up to during the day. The resources seem to be great and my daughter loves spending time with her key workers - she’s always so happy to see them. Whenever I go to the reception for drop-off/collection the staff are always smiling and ask how we are. We sent our daughter here as we got a really good feeling about the staff and the resources and have been right so far.

Our little one started attending Fennies in January 2021, just when we moved to the area and our experience so far (and in comparison to our previous nursery) has been fantastic. Most importantly, he is always happy to go and we can tell he loves it there - he’s developed a real bond with the staff
who have all been lovely to us too throughout our experience. He also comes home very messy (and happily tired) from a hard day's play which is everything we’d hope for! The management are very kind, communicative and organised as well, and we’ve struggled with nurseries in the past with this so it really does make a difference to our overall experience. We are enrolling another little one to join next summer too, so would of course recommend it to any other friends and parents as well.

My son joined Fennies Oxted in Summer 2020 when he was just over 18 months old. We joined during the lockdown and the staff made every effort to make sure he settled quickly and easily. I cannot recommend the staff enough - so friendly and caring towards the children. They are responsive and there is
always an open channel of communication. I have been so impressed with the range and quality of activities available to the children. End-of-day feedback is always very thorough and it's great to have the details on what he has been up to throughout the day. He is really happy to go to nursery every day and I am pleased with his development.

Our daughter has been at Fennies Oxted since Summer 2020 - despite joining mid-pandemic the nursery worked hard around the restrictions to ensure she settled in well. She loves going to nursery! She is very happy, has access to a wide range of activities and interactions and is learning and developing
well. The staff are very nice and friendly and the communication we get from the nursery is good.

My son has been at Fennies Oxted for two years and has thrived there. The staff are friendly, caring and deliver the early years curriculum to a high standard. We get lots of feedback on our son’s days, it’s great to see what he has been up to and how he is developing. The nursery building is brand
new with great facilities. The children get a good variety of different meals and get up to all sorts during the day. The staff have worked tirelessly through the pandemic. I cannot recommend Fennies Oxted highly enough.

My daughter who is now two joined Fennies Oxted at aged ten months. She has had a great learning journey so far and the communication between the staff and parents is strong, meaning we can continue learning at home. I was recently impressed when she sang the days of the week in French at the dinner
table! The staff at Fennies Oxted really care. It’s wonderful to see them as excited as I am as a parent when my daughter learns a new skill or achieves something big. The facilities are fantastic, being new and purpose-built and the staff continue to find ways to improve them further such as the writing shed, which my daughter talks about at home. Practically speaking, the hours the nursery operates and it’s proximity to the train station make it very convenient for commuting parents. I have and will continue to recommend the nursery to friends. It’s a good feeling to be dropping my daughter off, knowing that she’s excited to be there and will have a fun day.

An excellent nursery, run by a fantastic team. Every child is nurtured. In particular, I am impressed with their allergy and Covid-19 policies. A lovely setting with great facilities and outside space. Would highly recommend it.

My 2 and half year old daughter has been at Fennies Oxted for 18 months now. At first, I was nervous about leaving her, but I can honestly say that it's been one of the best things we've done for her. She absolutely adores the staff, and I love seeing the wonderful bond she has with all them. I trust
them implicitly to keep her safe. The opportunities Fennies provides for learning are outstanding, the children are really encouraged to explore the world around them indoors and outside, and learning is incorporated into that, for example, learning and discussing about nature, the environment and recycling in the eco garden outside and using that as inspiration for stories and creative crafts indoors. My daughter also loves her Spanish and French classes at nursery, and particularly the yoga sessions. The food is so wholesome and delicious. Overall I would recommend Fennies to any parent wanting a safe, exciting, outstanding start for their child.

Our son has been attending Fennies Oxted for several years, and it's been fantastic both for him and our family. We originally chose it based on its proximity to the high street and station, operating hours*, the new purpose-built facilities and the quality and enthusiasm of the staff. (*Many local
settings weren't full day or full week, were only term-time or couldn't do ad hoc extended hours if necessary). He LOVES his "Fennies days" - weekends are apparently not nearly as much fun! (Incidentally, healthy food tastes better at Fennies too). We marvel at the staff's ability to gently nudge the kids to learn vast quantities without them even noticing it: for them, it's just fantastic play. On a social note, Fennies has given us the chance to meet lots of other families in the area. Pre-lockdown, we enjoyed some memorable nights out. Hopefully, we'll organise more family socialising as things start opening up again. All in all, it's very well run, clean, friendly and fun.

My daughter has been at Fennies Oxted for around fifteen months and we're really happy with the nursery. She loves going in every day and always comes home chattering about it. They do a lot of activities with the kids, heaps more than I'd ever think to do at home. I've noticed they're also encouraged
when they show they want to do something independently or start making they're own choices, which is brilliant. The facilities are great and there's plenty of outdoor space to run around in. They've been an enormous help with some of the things we've been learning at home, such as using a knife and fork, potty training and hand washing. I'm very happy these basic things are being done properly! Lastly, the staff and management are really good, we're always kept well informed, the care diary is mostly all up to date before we pick her up. Sometimes the staff member at pick up can't answer questions as they've not been with her for some of the day, but most things are there in the diary. Highly recommend!

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.060)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.060) out of 10 for Fennies Oxted, Amy Road is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The Average Rating of 5.000 for Fennies Oxted, Amy Road is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.06 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fennies Oxted, Amy Road is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 number of registered child places is 16.8. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.8 = 0.06

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
