Kids Planet Waterfront gives childcare and early educational learning to children up to the age of 5 in Brierley Hill.

The nursery offers children an environment which is cosy and stimulating where they can learn and interact with their peers.

Everyone at Kids Planet are amazing. They treat our daughter with the best care, time, and attention. Everyone is so caring, nothing is too much trouble and we truly feel our daughter is safe and well looked after. They always put our daughter's needs first and we feel it is a truly wonderful nursery.
The staff work so hard and are always smiling. Thank you for looking after our daughter so well.

The nursery are fantastic not just with me but with my daughter too. They always keep in touch and help with things when they can. The staff are all lovely. I couldn't fault the nursery, facilities, staff, or anything in that fact.

Really love Kids Planet Nurseries! All the staff are so kind and pleasant. My child loves attending and always has a good day! A staff member in particular especially is a credit to the nursery and has really taken an interest in all his needs and understands what he wants/needs! Handovers are always
so detailed. I feel very comfortable leaving him here.

Kids Planet is such a lovely nursery, I honestly couldn't ask for better. The staff are so lovely and so helpful, nothing is too much for them. My son has been attending this nursery since he was 2 and he is now 4. I cannot thank the staff members for how much his confidence and independence have improved.
He loves coming here and I am honestly upset when I have to think that next year he will be leaving to go to reception.

I feel a particular teacher looks after my child as I would at home. I know my daughter really likes/feels safe with her now she speaks about her at home. I love how she interacts and will attend to my daughter's cuddles as she is a cuddly child.

She is always happy to go to nursey, friendly warm welcome by staff. In the time she's been there its gone through a period of changes to focus on outdoor play and nature. Which I feel has had a positive effect on imagination play. They provide all your child's needs and feed them a healthy balanced
diet with friendly informative staff.

Lovely nursery, staff are always friendly and informative about the little ones' day. Love the app the nursery uses, it's great being able to see her enjoying her day in the photos with her learning journey. She seems really happy when she's there, after a week and a half off due to illness she was
thrilled to be back when I dropped her off in the morning.

My daughter can be nervous about arriving at nursery but she is soon made to feel at ease by the staff at Kids Planet and is back to her usual cheeky self in no time. She loves playing with the staff and other children and has learnt so many new words since joining.

Really good and vibrant nursery. All the staff are welcoming and honest and go the extra mile to ensure my child is happy and enjoying being there. He has had a fantastic year and has really excelled here, so again, a big thank you to all the staff. He enjoys going to the nursery and always references

Lovely nursery. I have a very anxious daughter who doesn't like being away from me but the staff are absolutely amazing with her and have helped to build her confidence. She absolutely adores the staff in the baby room and talks about them all the time at home. She's come on leaps and bounds with speech
and playing with other children since starting. The nursery is very clean and I love getting photos of my daughter on the parent app doing lots of activities. They give her such lovely food too which encourages her to try other things than what we could do at home. The staff are loving, kind and welcoming.

Hannah Mateer

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Joined: 2021

I am Hannah Mateer, the manager for Kids Planet Waterfront. I have over 20 years of experience within the Early Years sector 11 years of which as a Nursery Manager. I started as a college student and worked my way up to management. I have completed my Early Years Foundation Degree and my Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

As a parent of 3 children myself, I can fully understand the emotions all parents go through leaving their little ones in other people’s care. As a Manager, I am here to fully support parents and staff in settling your little ones into the nursery and ensuring a smooth transition.

I am responsible for everything that happens in the nursery on a day-to-day basis and I am also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for safeguarding.

I thoroughly enjoy my role and love the variety each day brings, supporting staff and children. I am passionate about the importance of early education and the biggest privilege is being able to watch children thrive in their learning and development.
