Habla Bilingual Day Nursery Formby is opening in the summer 2021. The setting has both Spanish and English practitioners, giving children the opportunity to learn to speak both languages by they time they leave for school.

As is required of all nurseries, Habla's curriculum follows the EYFS however the difference at Habla is that this is delivered in both English and Spanish. Children therefore naturally learn to speak both languages through play and interaction with the staff and each other. Being in a bilingual setting also has other benefits for children's development e.g. research suggests it helps with problem solving, early reading, cognitive development and much more.

Habla is a family run nursery offering full day care or morning or afternoon sessions for children between 6 months and 5 years. The nursery is open from 7:30am-5:45pm for 51 weeks a year. There is a seperate baby room for all children under 2's and a large, well-equipped toddler area and preschool area with a variety loose parts and natural, authentic resources. Children also benefit from an exciting and engaging outdoor area, with imaginative installations all made from reclaimed items.

Children at Habla enjoy a variety of extra weekly activities including yoga and dance. They also regularly go on trips to explore the local community and benefit from a wide variety of experiences both in and outside the setting.

Children will be offered breakfast, lunch, snack and tea (depending on the sessions they attend). The menu is designed to introduce children to a wide variety of nutritional foods, encouraging them to make healthy choices

At Habla you can expect that your child will receive the highest level of care and early years education that will give them an excitement for learning and prepare them for school. However, in addition they will leave speaking Spanish and having benefited from being in a bilingual environment.

We couldn't recommend Habla more, we are so happy with the care provided here for our son and wish he had started sooner. The girls are wonderful and know each child in every room, the professional love and care offered give us peace of mind even after an emotional drop-off. Communication has been brilliant
from day one, including newsletters and development tracking. Our son has made so much progress and often uses Spanish words as well as singing Spanish songs.

Our daughter has been at Habla for over two years. She has great relationships with the staff, they get the best balance of caring, setting boundaries and making things fun.
She has learnt, understands and speaks lots of Spanish words. Her third spoken word being "agua".
Behaviour here is handled
well and our daughter enjoys the big garden, great swing and climbing frame.
She goes on beach and woodland walks, they have yoga classes weekly (rotated) and photographers twice a year.
I just asked her what she likes best- she said painting but know she loves the imaginary play, crafts and story time.
You won't be disappointed if you choose Habla for your child out daughter feels cared for and is thriving.

The staff at the nursery have been very attentive and supportive to my daughter starting the nursery. They have communicated well with us and understood our daughter's individual needs. They have also understood our needs as parents which is very reassuring.

Coming towards the end of maternity leave comes with so many worries and anxieties for parents as we all know. We are really grateful to have such a wonderful nursery with such a lovely, approachable and caring team. Our daughter settled into nursery with the girls really well, and any hiccups we know
will be treated with love care and professionalism. The owner of the nursery has been accommodating, responsive and informative with any questions I have had over the months and we cannot recommend Habla enough. We love the updates sent by the team and the learning and fun that our daughter experiences. Thank you to you all.

My son had a tough time adjusting to nursery at first. It was heart breaking to see him and all of us crying when I dropped him off.
But the staff at Habla worked so hard with him.
They kept encouraging and praising him every day, and after a few tough months, he now runs into nursery happily.
He
loves Habla and is excited to go. He can't stop talking, and he's even picked up some Spanish!
Thanks to all the staff at Habla for everything. He's a very happy boy now.
