Chestnut Nursery at Sewell Park has been amazing throughout my child’s journey with them. The play areas and activities keep my child entertained and children are taught kindness, compassion and respect for others. It is amazing how my child has already learnt to write her name and recognise some letters!
The menu at the nursery is so scrummy! All the food options even inspires us to be more creative at home. The staff have really cared for my child and have given them a cuddle if they are upset.

Amazing nursery! My boy goes there since September 2023 at 16 months and he settled in quite quickly. He loves to go in there. After 4 months he learned more than 100 words, knowing just a few at the beginning. They have daily activities to keep them busy and also they learn new skills. You don`t pay
anything extra for the resources. He always brings home paintings and other crafts they are doing. I was impressed that for Christmas they got some presents for parents as well. We used to have contact naps at home, but magically the ladies managed to put him to sleep from day one! The outside space is wonderful and safe. The sensory room is his favourite. Professional and amazing staff! The communication with the management and the team is great. You would always discuss how was the day on pick-up and the ladies will always explained to you how did it go. I love the app where you get daily updates on meals, sleep, snapchats and nappy order.

The staff are always friendly, they provide us with an update of what has been happening in the nursery daily. They have an app to share with parents, but it could be utilised more. My child eats well and has a varied diet and the staff are always willing to support the development of the child on an
individual basis.

My child attended full-time for two years. While satisfactory on most occasions, this was ruined by:
Members of staff for being unnecessarily rude and judgemental.
My child often having accidents and telling us they “didn’t listen” or were “too busy” to take them to the loo.
Before being potty
trained, my child’s bottom was rarely correctly wiped.
Overwhelming numbers of incidents/accidents with other children. There have been none at our new nursery.
And more importantly, not disclosing serious injury while at nursery to both parents (who did not communicate).

Our son has attended this nursery since its opening and we've only moved him on due to relocating. We have always been very happy with the staff and setting at Sewell Park. Sadly he didn't get to enjoy the new garden for long but now that's in place the setting is perfect for little ones. Communication
and feedback from staff has been very helpful particularly resources etc. during lockdown.

My kids attend Swell Park Chestnut and this is one of the best decisions we had made. They love their nursery, enjoy all activities indoors and outdoor time and they are always smiling and happy to go there. The nursery has advanced resources and their teaching standard is very high, which is helping
my kids to learn, develop and made them more confident day by day. All the staff is always helpful and support us any time we need. Even during this epic and difficult time, dealing with this pandemic, we are not afraid of leaving our kids at the nursery. I would like to thank each and every member of staff and wish them the best of luck.

Outstanding, exceptional and remarkable are just a few words I would use to explain this nursery. Not only it is a beautiful setting, but with beautiful minds that are put together to make this home away from home.
My daughter started her journey in September 2020 after a hard year she was nervous
and anxious to be away from her mummy at 13 months old, however, with continued reassurance from the staff to myself and my daughter she has blossomed into this independent magical little fairy. Notifications throughout the day with updates alongside lovely little videos and pictures showing me her progression.
She has so much confidence now and its just wonderful to see. The ladies who care for my little one have always got the biggest smiles to accompany big hearts, my daughter has no worries strutting towards the nursery doors every morning eager to see what excitement the day could bring.
I can not praise the manager and the staff enough for everything they do, thank you!

As soon as we visited the nursery, we loved the rooms and toys and knew our daughter would too! Our daughter was not an easy settler and took her many months of patience and excellent care from the staff to settle her each morning. She has been coming to nursery almost 2 years now and absolutely loves
it. She has made friends, enjoys her food and it is preparing her amazingly for school. The staff are all fantastic. My nephew also attends now as I highly recommended the nursery to my sister. Couldn’t recommend it enough, wonderful!

When I was first looking at nurseries it took me visiting 9 other places before finding Chestnut. As a teacher myself, the nursery ticked all the boxes I was looking for and more.
My child has been there a year now and looks forward to going and seeing her friends, she has excelled since going and
is learning in leaps and bounds.
The nursery always has good contact, especially over the covid-19 pandemic, sending resources and videos for the children to interact with.
All the staff are lovely, warming and caring, exactly what you need in a nursery for your child.

We chose to move our son from another nursery to Chestnut Nursery School @ Sewell Park last year and it's the best decision we've made. If anything we regret not moving him sooner.
The staff are all really friendly, approachable and professional. Several in particular all speak about our son with love.
Our son was delayed in his speech when joining Sewell Park but within a few months he's no longer behind and is very happy walking off into nursery with no hesitation.
The food they serve is all homemade, nutritional and sounds delicious.
We would highly recommended Sewell Park and the Chesnut Schools in general.

Due to moving house, our daughter moved to this nursery from another Chestnut Nursery when Sewell Park opened. It has been a positive experience from the first day. Our daughter has loved going there and has always been eager to get into nursery in the morning. We have built a good relationship with
the staff and do feel that they really care about the children they are looking after. Also, the food menu looks delicious and our daughter enjoys every meal which is a big bonus!

My daughter attends nursery 3 times a week since September. When I pick her up she is always happy and would probably happily stay there longer. The staff are so lovely and really care about the children they take care of. In the 4.5 months she has been there she has come such a long way and is learning
lots. I can leave my daughter with no doubt in my mind that she is being well looked after.

This nursery is amazing. Our little boy has been going here since he was 4 months old and has received the highest standard of care that we could have hoped for. He attends 3 times a week and always leaves nursery happy after having a fun day. We will be very sad when it is time for him to move on.

This is a fantastic nursery, they have completely exceeded my expectations.
My 2-year-old son had terrible separation anxiety before joining and we knew it would be a really difficult settling in process. It took a while for him to get used to spending time away from me but the staff were incredibly
patient and supportive towards both of us. My son loves nursery now and he really looks forwards to the mornings that he attends. I truly don’t believe that any other nursery could have made him enjoy going as much as he now does!
The manager and the whole team of staff that they have are brilliant- really friendly people that seem to genuinely care about both the children and the parents. They have all been wonderful with my son - he talks about them at home a lot!
The facilities are lovely and they have a great range of toys and activities. Everything is really clean and well organised - I feel completely safe leaving my little boy with them.

I have the pleasure of collecting my grandson from this wonderful nursery and I can't praise it enough. Very impressed with the set up of the nursery, it's absolutely fabulous with very welcoming friendly staff. My grandson is always playing happily when I collect him and the staff always greet me and

Chestnut Nursery is a fantastic setting. The staff are brilliant and have really made my daughter and I feel welcomed. I chose to move my daughter from another nursery to Chestnut Nursery and it's been by far the best decision.
In the space of a month, my daughter can now recognise her name, colours

My daughter has loved coming to the Chestnut Nursery School @ Sewell Park. It’s still quite new so all the toys are in good condition and the building is clean and in good condition. My daughter feels very comfortable here and all the other children and staff make her feel right at home. They have helped
my daughter transition out of nappies with ease and are always there if we have any concerns. The outside space is wonderful and there is a park nearby where they take the kids on a good day.

Amazing nursery!
My little boy wasn’t the easiest to settle in but they were so understanding and made me feel so comfortable to leave him even though he was tearful. After a couple of weeks, he’s loving every minute and settled in so well. It’s like home from home. I can’t thank all the staff enough.
The facilities outside are really good and a little different to other nurseries I visited.

I’m so happy that my child gets to attend a beautiful nursery each week. He joined Chestnut Nursery School when the new St Clements site opened and he loves coming to learn and have great fun each session with such kind caring staff.
The location is perfect and the nursery setting so friendly, wonderful
and clean with lots of stimulating activities for the children all to get involved in.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

From quite early on it became obvious I had a passion for caring for children. My journey began in 2013 when I gained my level 3 diploma in children’s and young people’s workforce. I started working for Chestnut Nursery Schools St Giles in 2015, progressing to a lead practitioner shortly after this. I later became senior lead before I got the opportunity to become Deputy Manager at Sewell Park in 2019. I had the honour of helping to establish the setting and creating a beautiful space for children to thrive and develop. After almost 10 years in the childcare sector, I felt I had gained the knowledge and confidence to take on the role of Manager at Sewell Park.


As the Manager of Sewell Park, I enjoy being able to build and develop the nursery space to make a calm, safe and nurturing place where parents feel confident to leave their children in our care. I feel a key part of my role is building relationships with staff, parents/carers, and children to ensure they have the support they need to thrive. It is a privilege to be such a big part of children’s development.


I believe one of the best parts about caring for children is helping them to reach their goals and full potential. It is so rewarding to know you had a part to play. We aim to provide the best quality of care and education for children to give them the best possible start in life.
