This rural nursery and preschool is located opposite Paulton's Park, Romsey. Set in converted barns and surrounded by fields.

The nursery offers high-quality childcare for children aged 0-5, spread across two specially designed playrooms with free-flow access to an all-weather garden.

Activity-based learning builds each child's academic, social, emotional and physical skills. The nursery is well-connected with the local community and enjoys visits from the local fire brigade and police.

Five stars for this nursery! My little one’s key worker is wonderful and he loves coming in to see her. He talks about her non-stop when at home, she’s his ‘best friend’. Home cooked meals daily from the lovely chef. Would really recommend this nursery.

Would like to thank the team for being so caring.
I appreciate how hard it must be looking after a lot of children, so hats off to them. The girls are always so happy to see us in the morning. We are updated throughout the date, and we always have a happy, smiling boy when we come to pick him up.
The food menu looks better than what we eat, and I really believe this helps our boy try different foods.

My girls have both been at this nursery from 1 year old. They have always been so happy. The staff are caring and sensible and it is managed well. My oldest just left for school and they’ve prepared her brilliantly plus they made her last weeks attending nursery super special. My youngest calls all
the staff and children her best friends. They make a real effort to do varied activities and learning. Would (and have) recommended to friends/family!

We have two children who attend Kiddi Caru Ower. Our eldest is usually full of beans and has had a lovely day when we pick him up. He eats well with his friends and is tired and ready for bed by the end of the week! That's how we know he's had lots of fun. Our baby started in September and so far I
think he has adjusted well. He has been hampered by teething but overall, is doing well with his weaning and is enjoying lots of cuddles. The staff at Ower are all lovely and take care of our boys very well.

I cannot recommend Kiddi Caru Ower enough, my twins have been attending the nursery since they were 10 months, they are now 4. They have strong bonds with the wonderful staff that work very hard there. The staff have always been kind, accommodating and helpful to me and my family. My twins are very
happy to go to nursery to see their friends and staff, they are well socialised and have learnt so much through nursery. Thank you to the team!

The staff are so friendly and I know my son is well looked after. I like that each day he seems to learn something new and they encourage him which is lovely to see him grow. It’s nice that they do days out and it’s good for him to explore and be with other children.

Kiddi Caru Ower has gone extremely downhill. There are never any staff, resulting in agency most of the time. At times there has been only one member of permanent staff, which affects the care the children are getting, but also has resulted in some of the permanent staff to sadly become rather disengaged
and miserable, which shows. Barely any handover, apart from 'they've been fine today'. App updates are non-existent. Emails being sent a lot stating they cannot cater for all children due to staff numbers or they need to move to the sister nursery. When I turn up at 5.20pm everything is packed up. Not good enough when people are paying until 6pm. I've now had to remove my children from Ower as a permanent member of staff accused a male agency staff member of kicking my son. This is the agency staff that are apparently thoroughly 'vetted'. Sadly this is no longer a nice place to send your children, nor is it safe in my opinion due to the lack of permanent staff. Avoid.

My daughter loves the staff and I've made a few friends as well in them, always have time for a chat and they are very friendly. However recently there have been many staff shortages and lots of staff are leaving. This means agency staff are used and the same bond is not there for my child. Many of
the senior staff, having been with the team for a number of years, have recently left, including the in-house chef, which is a particular shame, as she was always on hand to discuss food issues. I feel the issues are probably caused from higher up and unfortunately, they are losing good staff. Parents/carers want consistency in who looks after their child and perhaps the team is undervalued. I should think that management's priority needs to be the happiness of the staff and the rest will fall into place. Unfortunately, if agency staff are being used more and more, not only will you lose valued members of the team, but also children, as they will seek alternative arrangements.

I am generally very happy with Kiddi Caru and the care my child receives. When he is there, he enjoys his time and is well looked after.
The only concern I have had is I haven’t been able to send my child in twice now due to staff shortages which have been a bit of an issue.

Such a shame so many brilliant staff members have left this setting recently, got a few really strong staff members left ‘holding it together’ but Kiddi Caru need to look much closer into their nursery settings and why staff are leaving and why parents have concerns about care. We went through similar
with another setting, upon transfer to Ower in 2021 things were brilliant (the manager was always on top of the smallest things) but things have since gone downhill with changes to staff and involvement from managers higher up.
The number of agency staff in rooms recently outweighs the number of usual staff members unfortunately, this seems to be affecting what learning is able to take place and makes me question the level of care too. Lack of IT equipment for staff to use with children, which is very disappointing in this modern age where technology has proven very engaging for children and to support communication with parents.

Excellent nursery, it has been great throughout the last 7 years, so sorry to leave but both my little ones are now at school and growing up too fast. They provided a great start and good foundations for social skills and early development. I would highly recommend Kiddi Caru Ower to all. Will be missed.

I am a parent for a little boy in the over twos room. The girls are really friendly and give a good handover about the day. We have had our parent calls this week and was great to hear how the nursery supports the children to reach their next steps. The food sounds better than I eat myself and the whole

The ladies in the baby room are great.

We are extremely happy with Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Ower.
I was very anxious when returning to work and very worried about our baby's settling period. Kiddi Caru staff made us feel at ease by being extremely friendly and professional. Our baby settled in very nicely and he loves being there. He does
not even cry in the mornings when being dropped off, he just wants to go in and play.
Staff have been brilliant, especially when our son wasn't well just recently. They were very understanding and provided relevant advice and information when required. They are very clear with rules and procedures which is great. The team have great communication and information handover process between them. Every time I ring even If I speak to a different person each time, they all know what is going on and always have the relevant information.
The facilities are excellent, especially the garden area which our son loves and the food could not be better.
Overall we have made the right choice and are very happy

Every single one of the staff at Ower were welcoming, personable and friendly from the moment my tour began. I love how homely the nursery feels and I am made to feel like my son is not just a number in a room which was so important to me. I can always reach them whether it's for admin queries or the
staff themselves. Sending my firstborn son to a nursery was scary, but the staff and my son's keyworker have made this process so easy and comfortable, thank you all.

I am so pleased with the whole team at the nursery who helped settle our child into the nursery. Right from the tour to starting I have been really impressed with how we have all been supported.

All staff are enthusiastic about providing quality childcare and as a teacher, I can appreciate the effort that goes into planning engaging activities. Every day the children receive well balanced nutritional food that is cooked on site and the management is welcoming and organised.

We are so thrilled with the choice of nursery for our son, having recently moved here. The staff are fantastic - it is lovely to see their smiling faces in the morning and at pick up. They are always willing to go the extra mile and are very tuned in to the children’s individual needs, as well as supporting
