Little Hubbers aim is to provide a safe, secure, happy and stimulating environment for all who attend and support all children to explore and learn to reach the full potential.

A child’s first step into nursery is also the first step to independence.

The nursery believes children would thrive best in a fun, caring and enjoyable environment where the children are given first-hand real experiences and resources that are stimulating to experiment, explore, and learn to be independent.

Little Hubbers value that learning takes place through enhanced play opportunities and that children’s play reflects their wide range of varied interests.

The nursery acknowledges that by having a safe, secure and challenging environment. The staff give all children learning opportunities and can learn to take risks, develop boundaries, make choices and extend development.

Staff recognises the importance of listening to children, understanding, and meeting individual needs and that every child is a unique and competent learner.

The nursery believes positive interactions are essential and should tune in to children’s thinking and let them take lead and direction in learning and support this through encouragement, praise and respectful relationships between staff and the children.

Parents and staff partnership is vital with warm and trusting relationships as each learns a lot from each other. This is beneficial to support children’s progress and development, which has a positive impact on children’s learning.

The diversity of individuals and the communities are important and everyone is valued, children have the right to be treated fairly and be happy.

What a lovely nursery this is. My son has recently graduated after spending 2 years here. He has come on so much during this time and is now ready for big school. The staff team are great, friendly and always keep in touch with us via the app. He goes out every day and visits lots of exciting places.
I love receiving all the pictures from the day and seeing his tired face when I collect him. I recommend this nursery to everyone. They really do provide an exciting learning environment for all the children.

I absolutely love the nursery and the staff. I honestly feel like they are all there because they love the kids. My toddler goes running in. All of the staff are lovely. Really lovely and caring nursery.

The staff are fantastic, very welcoming and totally focused on the children and their well-being. The nursery has so much for the children to do, sensory rooms, dressing up, countless games, dolls etc and the staff take them out twice a day for walks, spotting things around their local communities.
They have parties and dancing and themed activities. My daughter absolutely loves going and is disappointed when it’s not a nursery day! I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

My children have been attending The Little Hubbers since 2019, after starting at a well-known nursery elsewhere, I found the setting just wasn't right. I felt very anxious looking for another nursery. Over a year on at Little Hubbers and both my children absolutely love it. It speaks for itself when
they both ask to go into nursery, which is fantastic for myself and husband to hear. The activities are absolutely fantastic, both my children enjoy, rockpool school, getting to hold and interact with many creatures, daily forest walks and so much more. They've also made some great friends, which is absolutely lovely to see. I find it very easier to interact with the staff, who are always quick to reply and help in any way they can.

My son has been going here since not long after they opened. All was well for the first six months but since I dropped his hours the owner has been extremely unhelpful regarding changing hours and various issues. Since my son went back after lockdown the care he has been receiving is awful. He only
went 3 mornings a week 3 hours per session. On one week he came home in different clothes each day he was there as his nappy had soaked. Almost every time I've picked him up his nappy has been either wet or bulging. I have now taken him out of the nursery and the manager has done nothing but argue, be very rude, and unprofessional despite me being very reasonable. Glad I’ve decided not to send him back as that’s not the type of person I want around my son. I’m yet to receive my deposit back and have now been blocked for asking when I will get it. Have kept all of the messages and taken screenshots, and if this isn’t sorted I will be reporting the nursery and taking legal action.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, thank you for submitting yours.
Upon further investigation of your alleged claims we wholeheartedly dispute your opinion as unfounded and malicious in its entirety! The nursery is heavily regulated by various bodies, including Ofsted who have investigated and acted upon your complaint (independently) and found all claims to be false and deemed no further action to be taken. The police were contacted for your part in inciting hatred and this matter is now in the hands of the solicitors for libel and harassment
We follow all policies and procedures to the letter, we are transparent in everything we do each and every day and have excellent parent partnerships.
We have won awards for being outstanding, are recognised as being very proactive and family-friendly, offering support to all who need it. The nursery recently won "Top 20 North East" Daynurseries.co.uk award, something I can assure you is not easy to achieve!

Very happy to send my little girl into the nursery, knowing she will be well cared for and always has an amazing time! All the staff have made my little girl feel so welcome, and it has warmed my heart to see her happy to go in, even stopping them in the street to say hello. Over the moon that I can
see what she’s doing through the day through their Facebook page, it’s lovely being able to watch my baby learn and grow.

This nursery was recommended to us and I'm so glad it was. Our little girl has been going for a few months now and we absolutely love it. The general feel of the nursery is comfortable and inviting which is what you need if you're nervous about letting go of your little one. The staff are very friendly,
knowledgeable and approachable. The nursery itself is extremely well set out with fantastic modern facilities perfect for learning little ones. There is a good mix of learning and play and daily outdoor walks/park visits. Really really impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, and especially good for those families who need some flexibility.

Little Hubbers is the best nursery around. The staff all have amazing bonds with all the children. My child loves going, always has an amazing day and has so much fun. I have and would recommend Little Hubbers to anyone looking for a nursery that goes above and beyond to make your child’s time the best
possible. One of the owners personally takes it upon herself to guarantee that you as a parent are always in the loop with what happens at nursery, how your child is and how they develop while there.

My son has been attending Little Hubbers Nursery since the week of it opening and he loves it.
My wish when choosing the right nursery was for my son to simply be happy and cared for and I am thrilled that this has been surpassed by bucket-load here! The kindness and professionalism shown by the staff
(to all of us!) has been outstanding and my son has blossomed and developed so much under their care.
Each day, my son and I are greeted with smiles and welcomed by staff who are professional, supportive and very friendly, demonstrating their care for my son by recognising and treating him as individual and knowing when he requires a cuddle on those days when he doesn't want to part from me.
At the end of every day, I am always given feedback on what my son has been doing throughout the day, this is also recorded in his personal diary.
Overall I highly recommend this nursery based on my own fantastic experience with them and their amazing, caring staff.

Thumbs up. It took me a lot of time to consider a nursery for my son, this decision wasn’t taken lightly at all. My son has been attending this fantastic nursery for three months now and I am delighted to see how excited he is to see his friends and the staff during his sessions. The team are very professional
and friendly and provide detailed daily feedback on my son’s progress. The team has also been particularly supportive and patient over the last three months while my son has settled in. I have no reservations about leaving my son in the care of this nursery and have already recommended it to other families. The staff are a huge credit to this nursery.

Choosing a nursery as a parent was not something I did lightly. After my first initial contact with the owner, I knew there was something special about this nursery. They were so accommodating, warm and welcoming on my first visit.
My daughter has flourished since starting and we as parents are noticing
huge developments at home; from, new sounds, words and exploring different foods.
The staff are amazing, the activities carried out daily are so refreshing and creative.
The girls send updates and use the nursery daily diary as additional communication which is fantastic.
The parent partnership is phenomenal and I can't wait to watch my little girl achieve so much with the help, support and skill from all the staff. They go above and beyond, watching them with all of the children is amazing, the way they adapt to each child ensuring it is all very person-centred.
Thank you for all that you do. You are all amazing and deserve your weight in gold.

I cannot recommend Little Hubbers and the staff enough. My child absolutely loves it. I was very nervous and felt really on edge about him starting nursery so I did a lot of searching to find the perfect one for us. Within Little Hubbers I found what we were looking for and more. The place is fantastic
and the staff put you and your little one at ease right away. They take the kids out on a daily basis so they are never bored and they always have loads to do. Every time I pick my child up the staff always take the time to tell me about his day which I love. The security of the place is fantastic so I know he’s safe. Oh, and the cleanliness of the nursery is amazing. Thank you so much for making our nursery experience that little bit easier.

We're into month two now for my little girl coming here and I couldn't recommend this nursery anymore it's amazing!! She loves it! I have noticed such a change in her and is growing into such a clever little girl. They take them out every day and we get updates with photos which I look forward to seeing
every day! I know she is safe and being well looked after whilst I go to work!

I am at the end of the first week now for my son. He attends Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I am very pleased with the level of care he has received this week, he's happy and 'tired' when I pick him up which shows he has had an active day. We love to see the pictures he has made through the day and
the photos of his outings.
My wife and I are very happy and look forward to him staying at this nursery until he starts school in two years time.

Love this new nursery already - staff are so focussed on the children’s development and are really caring. They go on loads of outings and give us activity bags to take home. They probably put as much effort and energy into looking after my little one as I do myself! I definitely recommend.

So happy with this nursery, the facilities it has are amazing as well as the lovely caring staff.
I had been looking at nurseries for a while but was always anxious to put my son into one.
I met with the nursery manager before it’s opening day and she made me feel really relaxed and at ease that
my son would be very well cared for.
The manager and staff have always been so supportive of my sons needs and accommodating.
My son is absolutely loving it and I am so happy I chose Little Hubbers!

Beautiful new nursery in North Shields. I have looked at a few nurseries now for my son and settled on this one within 5 minutes of walking through the door. The lady showing me around answered all my questions confidently and put me at ease. I'm a first-time daddy so feeling very nervous leaving my
little one with strangers.


I have had 2 settling-in sessions now and feel totally happy leaving him to play with the other children.

I then went on to study my Level 3 childcare, again at Tyne Metropolitan College which lasted two years. With me becoming a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner in July 2020. Throughout the three years of training, I was able to gain a significant amount of experience from working in many different settings and working with a wide range of ages. Also, while studying I was able to extend my knowledge and skills through taking part in courses such as Makaton, Children’s Yoga and Story Telling. I have always wanted to work with children from being a young age, so when I left school in 2017 I knew that I wanted to continue to follow my dream. The reason why I love working in childcare is knowing that I have play such a significant role in a child’s first few years of their life by teaching and allowing those children to grow. Another reason why I love working in childcare is because I love to watch the children learn and grow into their own little characters. What I love about my job the most is seeing all the children enjoy being at the nursery, exploring new resource’s every day. I believe I am a friendly & caring individual that will always help each child to learn and grow.
