An inspiring purpose-built nursery in Hertford

The brand new purpose built Bright Horizons Hertford Day and Preschool offers seven individual home bases tailored to each age group as well as two additional extra-curricular rooms.

The nursery has a large external play area where the children can flourish and explore while building a lifelong love of learning. All age rooms have been designed to be flexible and with good access to the garden.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, the onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees. All the snacks and meals are prepared on site by the chef and is nutritionally balanced.

My little one absolutely loves her time at Bright Horizons! The nursery is very modern (it only opened in 2020) and every staff member we have met, has been both caring and professional. There is an app that is updated daily, with information about what food has been served (and how much our child has
eaten!), naps, nappies and a photo of an activity. We also really liked the settling sessions offered before she started, it really helped her feel comfortable and made me feel totally confident, that it was the right place for her.

I cannot praise this nursery enough! The staff at the nursery look after my daughter really well. She absolutely loves it. I love that they keep the app updated, so I am always informed about her day and when I pick her up, they tell me about her day. The nursery have been very accommodating with any
requests I have too. Such a friendly team of people.

We love Bright Horizons Hertford Day Nursery and Preschool.
My son has been attending for 18 months now and the team have been so supportive in his journey. He loves attending each day and has built some wonderful relationships with the team and his peers.
My son also has quite a few allergies and
the team have been so supportive in ensuring he is safe there, but also that his meals are varied and fun like the other children.

Bright Horizons, Hertford has been such a breath of fresh air in a stressful time, that is returning to work after my first child. My 18-month-old daughter absolutely loves her nursery days. She skips in there with no trouble at all, whereas, if I leave her in most other places, we get tears and separation
anxiety. I get to go to work feeling so secure and comfortable, that she is in the best place and is really happy. The staff always give me a rundown of her day, if they notice anything unusual in herself and anything that she particularly enjoyed doing. She comes home knowing new songs, dances and how to navigate tasks. It has been key to her development. They upload info onto the app promptly so I can log on at work and see how she's getting on in real time. I honestly couldn't be happier with the service and care. Thank you so much for keeping my daughter safe!

Our daughter loves Bright Horizons. She settled in really easily. The staff are excellent and very good at communicating with us on every aspect of her development. Their app is very detailed and easy to use and great seeing pictures of every creative activity they put on for the children.
We couldn't
be happier and would highly recommend the nursery to everyone!

I can't praise Bright Horizons, Hertford enough for their stellar service, which my wife and I observe on a daily basis. My child is 3.5 years old and has attended two prior nurseries, which he didn't like at all, which was very stressful on all of us. So, you will understand the sheer relief and joy
(as parents), now he has finally found a place that brings him so much happiness, to the point that even at the weekends he is talking about going back to nursery. Where he used to go kicking and screaming into the others, he runs for the front door here! You are welcomed with a genuine smile and hello from two members of staff on the front desk, to three members of staff in preschool. An even bigger welcome is reserved for my son, which makes him feel right at home and happy, which is what all parents want when dropping off their children. The superb app allows us to observe their activities throughout the day, which keeps us involved from a distance. Keep up the great week guys, we are truly grateful.

My little girl loves the time that she spends at Bright Horizons, Hertford. All the staff are fabulous, they are so kind and caring. My little girl has flourished in the month she has been attending the nursery. The app is great for receiving photos and updates throughout the day, of what your little

Our little girl started at Bright Horizons, Hertford in September and we all could not be more impressed or happier with how she has settled and continues to thrive. From the start, we could tell this was an environment that put every child at the heart of what each practitioner does. Every day there
are so many opportunities for her to grow and develop. The staff couldn't be more caring or thoughtful. We feel they value her as an individual and care so much about her. The whole settling process was thought out and tailored to work for us, as a family. We are so pleased we chose to go with Bright Horizons, Hertford, as our nursery.

Bright Horizons, Hertford, is a fantastic nursery. Watching my son develop and thrive in such a short space of time since attending, has been so rewarding and great value for money. The staff in babies and toddlers are all brilliant and you can really see just how much they care for your little one.
My son loves his care worker so much and I can tell this by the fact he can't stop talking about her when we get home. The app is brilliant and is a great way to keep parents up to date, whilst they are in Bright Horizons care. The menu choices are very varied and healthy and has helped with making my son love a variety of foods. Two staff members on the desk are always so welcoming and have a great attention to detail. They know every child's name, what they like and don't like and will always take the time to say hello and goodbye. You can tell they apply the curriculum to the activities which they do with them, which in turn supports my son on his development journey! Bright Horizons, Hertford, is the best!

My partner and I was so nervous for our son to start at nursery, but the girls made us all feel so welcome and relaxed. Our son has really developed socially at nursery and comes home talking about all the things he does and the people he spends time with. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough, to
anyone looking for a clean and enabling environment for your children to explore, this is perfect! The management team are so helpful and welcoming when we arrive too! I know I can also go to two staff members in particular, with anything!

We are so happy that we have chosen Bright Horizons in Hertford. We fell in love with the nursery straightaway during our visitor tour. The facilities are amazing, there are so many resources for the children to learn and play. The garden is great and quite spacious, which is so important for our son,
who always has so much energy and loves being outside. The staff are always so friendly, helpful and so caring to the children. Our settling in process was very gradual, which is just what our son needed and we are so thankful to the staff for their constant support and reassurance during this process. Our son loves it so much at nursery and we are so grateful to see him happy and flourishing. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in the nursery.

My son transitioned from another day nursery at 2.5 years old. Bright Horizons have a great settling in process, over multiple weeks. The facilities are amazing and so many great resources. My son absolutely loves it here. He gets excited just pulling into the car park. The staff are so friendly, fun and so caring. They all welcome you through their doors. The set-up is great. The learning leaps my son has gone through since attending are incredible. He really has come on so much and quickly
since being here. I personally love it too. The reassurance I've had, from day one visit to his settling in sessions and then his regular attendance. The updates, the contact, the listening and understanding for my son are amazing. I cannot thank everyone enough, every time I pick him up at the end of the day.

My son has been at Bright Horizons Hertford since March 2020 when it opened, just before the pandemic, they were amazing at settling him in and a great help during Covid, making us feel welcome and safe still sending our child in. He loves attending and all of his key workers, they keep the day fun
and interesting for him, take into account his interest and needs and incorporate them into the day. It is easy to get to and well equipped. We will be sad to say goodbye when he leaves to go to school in September.

We feel so lucky that our daughter goes to Bright Horizons Hertford Day Nursery and Preschool. They have handled the Covid-19 situation well, keeping us informed every step of the way. The staff are amazing, they have a varied range of activities and are all so caring and experienced. Our daughter is

Our Son was fairly young when he started at Bright Horizons Hertford and they were really caring and understanding of him and us while settling him in, especially during a time of social distancing. The premises/staff and atmosphere are really welcoming and positive, I work nearby and wondered how a
Nursery would work there and cannot fault it - well done! The Team are all very friendly and helpful and, very prompt to respond to calls/emails despite being busy and possibly short-staffed during the time of COVID. I know my Son is happy there and very well looked after. He looks forward to going in. I think the feedback/development sheets are brilliant and informative - I love that they involve us as parents/families to document activities and photos of them! I think the weekly emails and Facebook page are fun and informative too. Thank you so much one and all!

My daughter enjoys going to nursery and is smiling when I drop her off. The staff are all so lovely and friendly, and the set up of the nursery is really nice. I enjoy reading the feedback in her book, which still makes me feel engaged with what she does there, especially as I am only able to drop her
off and pick her up at the foyer.
I'm really glad this nursery opened up near me.

I have worked in childcare for around ten years now and am just as passionate about my career today as I was the day I started. I believe that as practitioners in childcare, we hold the core values to support young children across the early years as individuals. Not only do we encourage and promote children’s learning and development, but we are the lucky ones who are able to support each child to become whoever they desire to be.


Since becoming a part of the Bright Horizons team, I have seen how as a childcare provider, Bright Horizons seeks to promote the best outcomes for each child in their care. From helping little ones take their first steps to supporting our Preschool children with the next big step in their lives and becoming ‘big school ready’ with our Growing Enhancements.
