Woodlands pre-school was established in 2019. The pre-school is set in the woodlands of Warners End and has a strong natural influence. The children are encouraged to learn from nature and use natural materials in their play. Day to day objects are incorporated into the children's daily activities and real-life experiences are used as a learning tool.

The pre-school itself is a scout hall on the outside and a newly decorated, comfortable, learning environment on the inside. Viewings are strongly encouraged to fully appreciate the uniqueness of this premises.

The surrounding woodlands provide excellent opportunities for the children to explore and discover. They can climb, dig and investigate the natural surroundings whilst in a safe and nurturing environment.

The nursery is on a mission to minimise the use of single-use plastic and has recently banned glitter, after discovering the shocking impact it has on the environment. The children learn to be responsible, eco-aware individuals who care for the planet and all of the people on it.

"An Amazing Preschool!"


We've been part of this preschool family for 2.5 years and as our eldest moves on to big school, we are truly sad to be preparing to say goodbye. The staff go above and beyond, providing our girls with love, care, and resources to help them thrive. Our youngest started this

year, and the transition has been incredibly smooth thanks to the nurturing team. Our girls have made such close bonds with staff and because of this, they are confident ti be themselves.


The staff are friendly, approachable, and dedicated. The activities and resources are fantastic, and the outdoor garden is an incredible space for learning and play. A special mention to the amazing SENCO team, who are absolutely outstanding and support has been invaluable.


We are so grateful for everything this preschool has given our children. It's a truly wonderful place, and we highly recommend it to any family looking for a caring, enriching environment

My little girl has absolutely thrived since going to Woodlands. She loves going. The staff are so lovely, kind, caring and patient. There are so many activities and they really give personal care to the children to help them learn, as well as having so much fun. Our favourite perk was the outdoor area,
as she loves it in the garden.
Great communication from management and really sad to see my little one leave for school.
Can't rave about how great it is here enough. 5/5.

Woodland Nursery is amazing! I had awful anxiety about going back to work and leaving my first baby with someone else. The nursery made it such a lovely transition, I was one of those tearful mums at the door and all the ladies were always happy to listen and be a shoulder to cry on. My son was obviously
nervous himself at first but he settled in so well that he loves going to nursery and asks every day if he's going to nursery, his speech and counting skills came on fantastically. The outdoor play area has so much exploring and is shaded in the summer which means they can still use it.
Feedback is always given at collection time and the fact that they have parents evenings for you to speak to the key worker is so nice.
I would highly recommend them.

This is my daughters second nursery as she was unhappy and unsettled in her previous one. She is thriving and was very settled straight away. All staff are amazing, they’re always very welcoming, kind and always have a smile on their face. They truly go above and beyond for each child. Overall a very

The staff are passionate and caring, ideal setting, and have a brilliant app where you can see your child's progress and what they get up to. The communication is brilliant they let you know what’s happening in the setting on that day and security for the kids is also great. Really happy to see my daughter

My son has been at Woodlands now for 18 months and in this short time he has come a very long way. The preschool work with the parents to ensure each child's individual needs are met. Woodlands has such a lovely atmosphere and work very well as a team, my son really enjoys going to preschool and often
comes out singing new songs he has learnt and about what he has done that day. Woodlands is a preschool that I would recommend to anyone.

My little boy started in July last year, he was at a childminder beforehand and cried every day going in. Since joining here, I haven’t had a single tear going in. Staff are always happy to help and always have time for parents. Also, having been doing parent evenings in different settings for 19 years,
I felt their parent's evening was the best I’ve been to.

On going to pick my granddaughter up from nursery I was a bit early and my granddaughter did not want to leave as she was having such a good time but the staff were so kind and helpful in persuading her to come with me that it made an awkward situation resolve easier to which I was very grateful

Lovely teachers, so welcoming and very helpful! My daughter always comes back so happy and the teachers always keep us updated with everything and we get daily photos to see all the exciting memories they all make definitely the best nursery, all my kids will be coming!

My daughter goes to Woodlands Pre-School, she started in May. She was not a confident little girl and was very shy. Since starting pre-school, she has become less shy and more confident. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. They have great facilities and activities for the children. They really
go above and beyond for all the children. I highly recommend Woodlands Pre-school, it's such great value for money.

Nikki Laventure

Job Title: Manager/Director

Joined: 2022

Nikki joined as a preschool manager at the beginning of 2022 and has been instrumental in the success of Woodlands ever since. She became a joint owner of Woodlands Pre-School in September 2022 and continues to manage the Pre-School on a daily basis.


Nikki has 2 children and holds a level 3 qualification. She is the nursery DSP and SENCO lead. Nikki has a passion for Horses and enjoys live music events.


Clare

Clare Wilkie

Job Title: Director

Joined: 2019

Clare is one of the owners of Woodland's preschool. She is mum to twins Lila and Kai and has many years of childcare experience. Clare has worked with children in a variety of roles including childminder, nanny, summer camp councillor and supervised contact worker for social services.
Clare has a passion for the outdoors and tries to include as many natural materials in the preschool as possible.

Chelsea is a fully qualified Nursery Nurse who has over 10 years of experience working with children. She is very passionate about working with children and has become an integral part of the Woodlands team.

Energetic and driven, we were thrilled to have Tor join our Woodlands team in January 2023 as our Senior Nursery Nurse. Tor is very excited to take on the next challenge and push our team forward. Tor is a level 3 senior nursery nurse. She has a beautiful daughter and loves taking her on days out to the farm. Tor also enjoys taking her Jack Russel out on woodland walks.

Hollie is energetic and driven, we were thrilled when Hollie joined the Woodlands team. She is a level 3 nursery nurse and is currently studying for a qualification in children and young people's mental health. Hollie is a mother to 2 beautiful children and loves to empower other mums during lunch clubs that she organises.


She is very much involved in button battery awareness and takes a heavy interest in the health and safety of the nursery.

Simone started at Woodlands in 2019 a month after we first opened. She is a very knowledgeable level 3 Nursery Nurse who supports the whole team and is extremely caring towards the children.
