The owners of the nursery have extensive experience of working in early years for a substantial amount of years and are “hands on” in the nursery.

This building has been renovated from a Church building to create a bright, spacious, homely nursery environment. The nursery has 32 places for babies aged 3 months to 5 years and you will find it conveniently located next to Vets 4 Pets, easily accessed with a private car park.

The nursery is easily accessible for the Cobalt Business Park, Silverlink shopping park, direct routes into Newcastle and the coastal areas. With public transport routes within walking distance.

The nursery has an extensive outdoor area where children’s physical development is supported, such as climbing and balancing, as well as having opportunities for planting, growing, digging and many other sensory experiences.

Little Learners Childcare has exceptionally high standards with both practice and the environment ensuring children have access to a wide range of exciting, stimulating, and challenging experiences and opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

The nursery is often quoted as the “extended family” by many parents.

The environment allows for a lot of natural light and uses natural resources that are replenished whenever required. The nursery is immaculately cleaned guaranteeing the resources and building is maintained to a high standard.

Staff are, without doubt, the company's most important asset and are highly trained. Their own individual experiences and skills are fully utilised to enhance the experiences for all children. All staff are fully qualified, DBS checked, hold first aid certificates and are competent in practising this.

Little Learners is a fab nursery. The staff are great, and they have been so supportive in helping my little boy settle in. He has always been with family, so it took him a little while, however, they definitely made it easier. They are always happy to have a chat and let you know how they are doing.
Can’t fault them at all.

We have been sending our 1 year old son here since April and he has come on leaps and bounds already. My son was only saying "mama" when he starting going but now says mama, dada, wawa, baba and loads of other things! To see such massive progression in such a small amount of time pays testament to this
nursery and its staff members.
The staff are down to earth, knowledgeable and genuine - Any concerns are managed and dealt with efficiently. From our initial visit - the area looked spotless, admittedly due to COVID, we haven't been inside since but I have no doubts in my mind that these high standards continue to be met.
Myself and my wife highly recommend this nursery. Our little boy has settled so well and we completely trust the management and staff to act in the best interests of our son. We also receive prompt and regular communication and view photos of what mischief he's been getting up to and that is really appreciated!

The staff are always very happy and very welcoming and makes it very comfortable to leave my son there. They are very informative and give good feedback about what your child has been doing that day, eating etc. And my son loves it and is always happy to go so this is a great sign, that it is a very

Both of my children have attended Little Learners. When the eldest left for school, all the staff were heartbroken to see the children go - this is because the staff all have a genuine care for the children, and both of mine are treated as if they are family. The youngest continued on at the nursery,
and ever without her big sister, she settled very quickly, and every day without fail, she comes out happy and smiling telling me about her fun day. There are always fun activities for the children to do and it's lovely to hear my child speak with such adoration of the staff who look after her. The best staff and nursery facility around.

Little Learners is a lovely place. The staff are all caring and friendly. My daughter struggles with leaving me and they did all they could to help her feel safe and settle in and now she loves to go! The rooms are full of resources for play and learning and they encourage lots of messy play which I
think is great.

My child struggled at first going into the nursery however is now settling in well. My child seems to enjoy his time at nursery when he is attending as I was provided pictures of the activities he was participating in which shows him happy and smiling away. The nursery staff are always helpful and kind
and my child seems to like them a lot. They have provided my child with a variety of food for breakfast/lunch and snack to help introduce new foods.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. She has recently transitioned from the baby section to the 2-3s. I was worried at first about how she would be but the staff have been amazing and moved her across the best way possible to avoid any distress. By the way they have done this and put her best
interests first, she has massively come out of her shell and opened up more feeling comfortable and confident each nursery visit. The staff always keep me updated with her progress and look for ways they can support her learning. I could not recommend this nursery enough!

Our little boy started nursery at Little Learners in August last year and I cannot say how amazing all of the staff are. He settled in so quickly. We felt so happy and had peace of mind he was so well cared for and has progressed in leaps. He loves going and waves us bye at the door. In these very strange
times, it has been a constant for him and kept us sane! Can't recommend them enough. Brilliant team, very well led.

Little Learners feels like an extension of our family. We are supported by the expertise and kindness of the staff who always take the time to chat and share the details of our daughter's day at nursery. Our daughter is now 2 and a half and has attended since she was 1, it is a home from home for her.
Her happiness at nursery is a testament to it's warm, safe, happy and stimulating atmosphere.

My son moved from another large chain nursery aged 2. He had struggled to settle at the first nursery and I visited a number of alternatives before finding Little Learners. I knew straight away that it was right for us - it was such a warm and friendly environment. The premises are lovely with lots
of activities and crafts. Every member of staff knows every child and that is really important to me. The staff are helpful and kind. They are happy to be contacted in the day for an update if need be. They have been excellent throughout COVID and I have been so impressed by how well they have dealt with it. Most importantly, my little boy is happy there and feels safe.

My son started at Little Learners Childcare in November 2020. He was nearing 2 years old and we felt he needed the opportunity to interact with other child but we were also keen to expose him to a positive learning environment.
As first time parents, finding a suitable nursery which matched the needs
of our son was important. We toured the facility, which was immaculate and well presented and received an in-depth introduction from the manager.
Our son attended a 1 and 2 hour visit to see how he settled. He adjusted to the change so well so we started him the following week with 2 half days. This quickly increased to 3 as we could see how happy he was when we collected him.
As parents, you always worry about how your child will adjust to change but the staff made this transition very easy. My son has developed so much over a short period of time and the team take credit for this. We have got a very happy boy. Thank you!

My daughter returned to nursery after her Christmas break and she was very unsettled entering the nursery. I was quickly reassured by my daughters key worker that she would message once she was settled (which she did). When we arrived to pick my daughter up we were greeted by her key worker and the
nursery tablet which showed my daughter interacting and playing throughout the day. I am very happy with the level of care and interaction my daughter receives from her key worker. Thank you all so much for looking after her. You really do a great job with her.

Excellent nursery, my daughter has been attending for 2 years now and loves nursery, running in each day, always talking about her friends and staff. Staff are helpful and supportive and follow my child's learning and interest from home. My child's key worker keeps us up to date with telephone reviews
due to Covid restrictions and not being able to go into the nursery, so we are always up to date with her learning/experiences. My little one gets so excited knowing she can share her weekend experiences with home learning sent via email to the nursery to share. Would highly recommend Little Learners.

I feel very happy about leaving my daughter here. The staff are very friendly and before lockdown, really enjoyed and valued being able to go into the nursery to see where my daughter played, learned etc. My daughter loves nursery and we have really seen an improvement in her development and confidence.

Overall I am satisfied with Little Learners Childcare. I feel they lost their way a bit during covid in terms of adapting existing handovers and reporting however to give this a fair representation. A lot of nurseries must have struggled with this. I would like to see more handover about my daughter's
day and would love to see more tie-in with the community (e.g. nursing home or fun days.)

Thank you for your review. We understand you raised your queries about handovers at the time and this was resolved. As we explained, in line with government guidance handovers have to take place in a different way now, however, they will continue to be as informative as previous. To ensure we adhere to risk assessments events such as fun days cannot currently take place however we do continue to make links with local businesses and the care home. Parents, visits or visitors into the setting will resume when government guidance and risk assessments allow for these. Every member of staff within this nursery is always so friendly and enthusiastic especially with the children, which is what I love about this nursery. When I come to collect my child they tell me everything about what my child has done that day. If I ever have any questions on his learning or development
they don't hesitate to help. Everything they do with the children is always to help them learn and have fun. My child gets excited to be there.

Little Learners have supported me over the past 5 years with three children attending. Staff are kind, caring and approachable. They have supported dietary needs and home behaviours. Our children have all developed several skills and met their early learning goals whilst making lots of friends along
the way. Highly recommend Little Learners Nursery. They are fantastic.

I have been Nursery manager since Little Learners Childcare opened and I oversee both nurseries. Early years has always been my passion. I have worked in nurseries all of my childcare career and gained a wide range of experience in my different job roles. I have worked with children across all age groups. I thoroughly enjoy the support and guidance I can offer families. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies and have attended a vast amount of training over the years including Child protection, 1st aid, Special educational needs, Behaviour management and many more which I really enjoy to enhance my knowledge.
