This is a lovely nursery, in a beautiful building with fabulous staff.
My daughter is very happy at the nursery and is always so tired when I pick her up she can barely move. Nothing is too much trouble, there is plenty to eat and drink and the sleeping area has proper cots for babies.
I have already
recommended the nursery to a friend!

So wonderful to hear your daughter has settled in so well to life in the nursery. We are proud of the care we offer and have worked so hard to create a calm and welcoming environment throughout our first year of operation, no matter what challenges we face during the Coronavirus pandemic. It's great to be fully re-opened and to see our already enrolled children return and getting to know our new children too. Thank you for recommending us to a friend; word of mouth is so important!

Little Lancing is a five star nursery. Our 2 year old attends three times a week and every morning, without fail she charges through their front door and can't wait to spend the day with her new friends and wonderfully excellent staff. The nursery has everything you would want and more, from an extensive
range of outdoor play activities, attentive staff, wholesome food, excellent communication and security to singing, reading & crafting. But most of all Little Lancing excels in kindness, big smiles and positivity!

Thank you for such a lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your daughter enjoys Little Lancing so much and we love having her here with us. We were proud to support keyworkers and other essential occupation families during lock-down and we are so happy that life in the nursery has bounced back to being so busy and full of the sound of children once more since we fully reopened.

Little Lancing have been fantastic! My son is so happy being there and the nursery staff really know him which is everything you want from a daycare provider as a parent.
They provide lots of opportunities for different experiences, including going for walks along the River Adur and seeing the animals
at the local farm.
They have a well equipped garden and lots of messy, sensory play which my son loves.
The staff are always so warm and attentive, helping my son to settle there straight away on drop off.
I would highly recommend this nursery and am very thankful for all the care they provide for my son.

Thank you for such a great review. It is always good to hear that our parents are delighted with their choice of nursery. Our messy and sensory play is a firm favourite with all our children! We are looking forward to spending more and more time outdoors too as we develop our forest school this year.

My little boy loves going to Little Lancing, and he really enjoys getting out to explore on lots of walks. He is so happy when I pick him up and always seems to have had a great day. He has developed so much in just a few months, and I'm so happy we've found a nursery that he truly loves going to.

I was extremely nervous leaving my one-year-old at the nursery, to begin with, as we had never really been apart but we are so lucky to have picked Little Lancing.
From the very first visit to settling in and now every day my little boy attends, we feel confident we made the correct decision.
Our
child loves coming into the nursery, and his development in the last four months of him being there; is amazing. The staff come across incredibly professional but also caring and friendly, they always seem very happy to see our child, which reassures me he is having a lovely time in their care.
I would (and do) highly recommend Little Lancing to anyone looking at a local nursery for their little ones.

What a lovely review. We work very hard with families on our settling in sessions, as joining nursery is a big step for both parents and child and are so glad it has gone so smoothly for you. It’s wonderful to hear how happy you are with your choice of Little Lancing for your son.

Little Lancing have been exemplary in the care of our daughter. They always greet her with such enthusiasm and she very clearly and greatly enjoys her days there. The attention to detail for health and developmental needs is excellent and the facilities are superb - with a great selection of novel toys/activities
to explore. The longer hours suit us very well, with us both doing shift work and they always try to be flexible where possible. We simply couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery.

Our son started in Little Lancing when it opened. Our experience has been fantastic. Staff are incredible and so caring. Feel our son is in exceptionally safe hands and is reassuring when he is left all day. He goes to nursery not looking back. Ethos is to work together for development which we appreciate,
five star. It was a concern at first as we had changed settings where he was settled but Lancing location worked better.

From the onset of arriving at Little Lancing to have a look around, I knew this was the place for my little boy. The staff make you feel at ease and it has a family feel here. The setting and environment reminded me of a Scandinavian retreat, natural and organic. My 10 month old adores it and I could
not be happier. He loves the sensory area and his key worker, Thank you!.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.614) out of 10 for Little Lancing - Lancing College Day Nursery & Forest School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.979 for Little Lancing - Lancing College Day Nursery & Forest School is calculated as follows: ( (47 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.979

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.635 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Lancing - Lancing College Day Nursery & Forest School is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 77 number of registered child places is 15.4. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.4 = 0.26

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
