Lets Explore Day Nursery Horley opened in 2019 alongside the Lets Explore Soft Play centre and has been designed to aid learning through play from the Sea Cadet baby room, Jungle Adventurers toddler room and Space Explorers Pre-School room.

The nursery cares for children from birth to five years old. They are registered with Ofsted and are members of the National Day Nurseries Association. They aim to give parents the chance to balance family and work responsibilities with minimum tension and maximum stability. Their experienced and qualified DBS checked staff will give your child the highest quality of care throughout the day and record your child’s progress and development through an interactive app where parents can keep track throughout the day. They offer your child the scope to acquire and master skills, learn to communicate, gain confidence and most of all to have fun. They present a wide range of activities that promote your child’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills, as well as language development. These skills will be developed through both organised and child-led play to stimulate initiative and imagination. The baby unit caters for little ones under two years old within a comfortable setting. They offer the opportunity to explore and learn in a safe environment and each child has their own cot or bed for rest periods. As the babies approach their second birthday, they are gently integrated with the older children to make the transition from the “baby room seamless and enjoyable.

Funding & Fees Guide for Lets Explore Day Nurseries Ltd

  • 2024 Fees:
    Full Time Weekly Fee - £422.75**
    Full day (8am-6pm) -   £89,
    Half day (8am-1pm) or (1pm-6pm) - £44.50,
    School day (9am - 3pm) - £53.40,
    Additional hours - £9.20/h,
    Early start (7am - 8am) - £9.20,
    Late Pick-up (6pm – 7pm) - £9.20,
    **Includes 5% full time discount.

  • The prices above include the supplement daily charge for the funded hours £4.06, £4.87 and £8.12 for Half Day, School day and Full Day sessions respectively.


    Annual fee increases are calculated in November every year and implemented in January ensuring we give all families a 1 month notice period.


    Additional services that are not delivered as a part of the governments funded hours are charged as a daily supplement. These additional services are meals, snacks and extracurricular activities. The supplement fee is non-obligitory and should you have any concerns about this charge please speak to the nursery manager.


    Please note that Lets Explore has a 'no food over the threshold' policy so parents providing their own meals would not be an alternative. This is due to the number of children in the nursery with allergies, we would not wish to put their safety at risk and parents have been very understanding of this.

My son has been attending for a few months at lets explore and has had many achievements during his short time. He had speech delay which has improved significantly with the support of the staff. He interacts with the other children in a much better way than previous to his time here. His now potty
trained which was helped with support from staff. His come along leaps and bounds and I couldn't be happier with his progress. The staff are friendly and caring and really seem to love their jobs which is so lovely. They offer lovely activities and do great events for the children to enjoy. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a new nursery to try Lets Explore Day Nurseries.

We switched our daughter to this nursery in June 2020 when nurseries reopened to everyone after the first lockdown. The nursery offers flexible hours including term time only which suited us with an older child at school. Our daughter settled in very quickly here even after 3 months at home during lockdown.
With the ups and downs of covid, it has always felt like a safe and happy environment. The staff are happy and enthusiastic which clearly rubs off on the children excited to be there. In the last 20 months, we have seen our daughter become independent, building friendships with other children and also the teachers who she is always talking about. She seems to be learning new things, such as shapes, letters and the Jolly Phonics songs which we are impressed with and feel is good preparation for school. Overall we would highly recommend it to anyone in the local area.

I am so happy my daughter was a student there. A very nice and friendly welcome on her first days 18 months ago made such a difference. Every day she wanted to go to the nursery with a smile. It is a shame they have missed out a lot due to the pandemic. Very friendly and professional staff. Nice and
well-balanced menu and fresh food. Very flexible individual approach by the Manager. Plenty of toys and playing areas and a nice outside space. Clean. Good phone application where you can learn a lot about what the kids have been up to. My daughter is ready for school now! I have recommended Let's Explore to new mums. Keep doing an amazing job!

My son has so much fun at Let's Explore Day Nursery.
Everyone is friendly and supportive. It’s a great little family, and we are proud to be part of it.
My son enjoys the outdoor area, and the variety of activities every day keeps him entertained.
Everyone ‘mucks in’, and nothing seems too much
for them.
My son goes in smiling and comes out smiling.... the regular observations and photos, as well as daily updates via the app, are a great way for us, as parents, to know what he is getting up to and allows us to talk to him about his day.
It’s a lovely nursery!

My daughter started at Let's Explore in March this year at the age of 3 having never been left in a setting before due to COVID. She absolutely loves it. She settled in immediately and runs in every morning.
The staff are amazing, kind and friendly and my daughter happily goes to them.
The setting
is always clean and COVID safe. I'm happy we have another year to go before she leaves!

Such a wonderful nursery! Staff are always wonderful and friendly, My little ones been there since September 2020 she has come on leaps and bounds since being with Let’s Explore! The food variety that they get is amazing. The updates that I receive on the app about my daughter is wonderful, it’s always

Amazing nursery! From baby ducklings to look after, outdoor play and soft play! What more could a toddler ask for? My son started in January 2021 and have never looked back! He loves it! His speech has come on leaps and bounds since starting and he is so much more independent! The girls are all so lovely!

My son has been going to Let’s Explore since he was 18 months and absolutely loves it. He's now 3 and still asks to go even on days that he doesn’t. I can’t recommend Let’s Explore enough. The staff are all incredibly kind, caring and supportive. My son has gained huge confidence since going. His language
and social skills are absolutely phenomenal. The app allows staff to post pictures, keep track of what they’ve eaten etc. It’s so lovely being able to see how happy and smiley he is with his peers. My son has been in all 3 rooms at the nursery now and all of them are to an incredibly high standard. I can’t thank the staff enough for everything they’ve done for my son and me. We will be sad to leave next year.

Let's Explore is a wonderful nursery with amazing staff. My son has been attending since we moved to the area last year and has loved every minute. The nursery itself is spacious and clean with plenty of toys and activities for the children to enjoy and great food and menu options too. The garden is
lovely and it's a bonus that occasionally they get to use the soft play! Between my boys, I have experienced 4 different nurseries from large chains to small independent ones and by far Let's Explore is the best all round. The fact that it is reasonably priced and flexible with times is also brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Let's Explore!

We were really keen to start our 1 year old daughter into nursery as she was born during the height of lockdown, Let’s Explore have been absolutely fantastic with her and she is thriving with her social skills and all aspects of her development. We couldn’t be happier with what the team have done with
her. We love that they are flexible and done shorter hours to suit what our daughter currently needs, she also loves playing in the garden.

Lets explore have been amazing! My daughter started in January 2020, after she turned two and she is thriving. They are flexible, friendly and have been very supportive of my key worker job role. My son started a couple of months after the nursery opened. He was a shy little boy with speech delay so I was worried he would not be able to communicate with the teachers or other children. I have watched him blossom there. The manager and all the staff are really fantastic and have really helped
put my mind at ease. My son loves it there and looks forward to going in each morning. Having an older son who went to a couple of other nurseries in Horley; I’d say this has been our best nursery experience so far.

I have found the nursery to be both understanding and accommodating. Before my little boy started we were offered settle sessions to get him used to the staff and the environment. When I left him in tears (as can sometimes happen) I was sent a message and a picture a little later to reassure me that
he was in fact, ok and having fun, making returning to work much easier.

My son started Lets Explore during lock down as I am a keyworker and my childminder was unhappy to continue.
They have been absolutely amazing, the staff are all really friendly and helpful.
I could see that my son immediately bonded with them all and loved going in each morning.
I was really
lucky to find them in such a difficult time and can not fault the care and flexibility they provided it for me which made life a lot easier.
I have now enrolled my son permanently so he continues receiving such excellent care.

I am Melanie Wing and I am the Room Leader of Sea Cadets who are our early dippers in the world of knowledge and learning!


I am a qualified NNEB, Social Worker and a mum. I have worked in Childcare for over 25 years with children aged birth to 15 years. As a Sea Cadet crew member, I am willing to sing, dance, crawl around and get totally messy in sensory play. Making a fool of yourself is fun and the basis of secure attachments so for my little Cadets to have oodles of hugs and buckets of laughter every day is crucial.


In fact, I'll do whatever it takes so that my little Cadets thrive and grow into happy passengers on their learning voyage through Let's Explore.
