Lets Explore Day Nursery Horley opened in 2019 alongside the Lets Explore Soft Play centre and has been designed to aid learning through play from the Sea Cadet baby room, Jungle Adventurers toddler room and Space Explorers Pre-School room.

The nursery cares for children from birth to five years old. They are registered with Ofsted and are members of the National Day Nurseries Association. They aim to give parents the chance to balance family and work responsibilities with minimum tension and maximum stability. Their experienced and qualified DBS checked staff will give your child the highest quality of care throughout the day and record your child’s progress and development through an interactive app where parents can keep track throughout the day. They offer your child the scope to acquire and master skills, learn to communicate, gain confidence and most of all to have fun. They present a wide range of activities that promote your child’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills, as well as language development. These skills will be developed through both organised and child-led play to stimulate initiative and imagination. The baby unit caters for little ones under two years old within a comfortable setting. They offer the opportunity to explore and learn in a safe environment and each child has their own cot or bed for rest periods. As the babies approach their second birthday, they are gently integrated with the older children to make the transition from the “baby room seamless and enjoyable.

Funding & Fees Guide for Lets Explore Day Nurseries Ltd

  • 2024 Fees:
    Full Time Weekly Fee - £422.75**
    Full day (8am-6pm) -   £89,
    Half day (8am-1pm) or (1pm-6pm) - £44.50,
    School day (9am - 3pm) - £53.40,
    Additional hours - £9.20/h,
    Early start (7am - 8am) - £9.20,
    Late Pick-up (6pm – 7pm) - £9.20,
    **Includes 5% full time discount.

  • The prices above include the supplement daily charge for the funded hours £4.06, £4.87 and £8.12 for Half Day, School day and Full Day sessions respectively.


    Annual fee increases are calculated in November every year and implemented in January ensuring we give all families a 1 month notice period.


    Additional services that are not delivered as a part of the governments funded hours are charged as a daily supplement. These additional services are meals, snacks and extracurricular activities. The supplement fee is non-obligitory and should you have any concerns about this charge please speak to the nursery manager.


    Please note that Lets Explore has a 'no food over the threshold' policy so parents providing their own meals would not be an alternative. This is due to the number of children in the nursery with allergies, we would not wish to put their safety at risk and parents have been very understanding of this.

My toddler loves this nursery, and so do I! Although it is relatively new, the staff are clearly very experienced and have been handpicked as they are so brilliant with the kids and very friendly. There are so many fun things for the children to do and play with, and everything is bright and shiny and
colourful and clean. I receive regular updates on the app, which is very easy to use, along with pictures throughout the day. The details of activities and milestones reached is phenomenal, and I am updated on my child’s progress, as well as when they went to the toilet and exactly what they did (and didn’t) eat. The menu is amazing and nutritious. Very happy with the nursery and would recommend to anyone.

Our little boy has been going to Lets Explore since he was one, he absolutely loves going and is always so happy to see all of the staff. It’s clean, tidy and has excellent facilities.
They are so flexible and accommodating with days and times, also very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend
Lets Explore nursery!

What a wonderful place. The staff are excellent at their jobs, very polite. I would recommend to any parent, even though they have just opened. They have everything to cater for, they are always there to help, no matter how big or small.

Your first nursery experience as a parent is always stressful. At least it’s supposed to be. At Lets Explore, the manager and her stellar team really took the stress out of the situation. A new, custom-built building for the nursery, the premises are clean, well designed, and it’s quickly become my
son’s second home. The nursery works with a catering company for snacks and lunches, and I am always assured that my son is getting a healthy (and halal...!) meal, as they manage every food requirement that you could imagine. The staff are attentive and creative in their time with him, and he is always coming home happy and exhausted (that’s a good thing, means he’s been really enjoying himself!). The nursery uses an app, and they use it well, so my wife and I are always delighted to hear the ping on our phone which means we have some photos and a narrative to talk through what he’s been up to. I’m a happy dad.

My little one has been attending since day one. Despite the 'newness' of the nursery, everyone is lovely, experienced and have lots of ambitions for the future. Whenever I pick up my child the nursery workers are always seen on the floor playing with the children. They have a lovely balanced diet and
menu, which updates are provided with the nursery's accompanying app. Definitely recommend Let's Explore!

My son has been at Let's Explore Day Nursery since day one and he loves it. The staff are lovely, always have time for you and soo welcoming. They have varied activities which is great and you can see observations of what they are doing on the app. Also on the app it tells you what they have eaten that
day which is very handy if you forget to ask or forgot to look at the menu to see what it was. The food is healthy, balanced but food children will eat! The setting is always clean plus the bathroom never had a complaint. I have worked and seen a lot of nurseries over the years (because of my career) and this by far is excellent standard hence why my son attends here. One very happy parent and child.

My daughter joined when the nursery opened and being a first-time mum, I was very nervous and worried. However, all the staff were so helpful, allowing us as many settling in sessions as we needed. This made the first full day far less daunting and although there are still tears at drop off, I know
she is well cared for during the day. The staff and management are quick to answer any questions that I might have and the facilities are excellent too.

My daughter has been attending Lets Explore Day Nursery pretty much since it opened and she absolutely loves it. She loves it to the point that sometimes she won’t even say goodbye to me at drop off and just wants to go and have fun.
The nursery is great, I am really pleased we chose to send our little
one there. The staff are absolutely lovely, always welcoming and ready to answer all the questions you might have. You feel like you are leaving your child in safe hands and in an environment where they have fun and learn at the same time. And at the end of the day, I think that’s what every parent wants.
And they have a lovely system where through an app you can keep track of your child progress which is a bonus.
Would highly recommend.

Although this is a new Nursery, the Manager has made us feel comfortable from our first visit. Our little one has now been attending for a few weeks and has settled really well to the point he's excited about attending. We also love the technology being implemented, with lots of updates throughout the
day and a fantastic app to keep track of their daily journey.

I am Melanie Wing and I am the Room Leader of Sea Cadets who are our early dippers in the world of knowledge and learning!


I am a qualified NNEB, Social Worker and a mum. I have worked in Childcare for over 25 years with children aged birth to 15 years. As a Sea Cadet crew member, I am willing to sing, dance, crawl around and get totally messy in sensory play. Making a fool of yourself is fun and the basis of secure attachments so for my little Cadets to have oodles of hugs and buckets of laughter every day is crucial.


In fact, I'll do whatever it takes so that my little Cadets thrive and grow into happy passengers on their learning voyage through Let's Explore.
