This day nursery and preschool is located in Islington Square, among a variety of independent boutiques and restaurants. The nursery has dedicated rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers and is only a 10 minute walk from Angel, Highbury and Islington train stations, making this a great option for commuting families to and from the Islington area.

I wish the nursery provided a more nutritious breakfast option instead of just cereal as I believe children should have other options to eat such as fruits or eggs like other breakfast options. Overall my child has settled in amazingly and enjoys the comfort of there teachers and other children.

The staff at Islington Square Nursery have been nothing short of exceptional, they have a perfect blend of care, attention, and educational guidance that any parent could hope for. Our daughter has blossomed in their nurturing environment. It's a joy to see her now, social, engaging, and showing new

This is a wonderful nursery, the staff are really a extension of your family. They work hard with the children to reach their goals, while having as much fun as possible. They're always coming up with new ideas, to enrich the children's learning. They take them out, my son enjoys that a lot. My son
loves it there, he has special needs and all the staff are hands-on, he is included in everything but also has his activities tailored to his needs. The nursery is super, clean and you can just tell the staff love what they do.
I was really anxious about sending my son to nursery at first but I made a really good choice for us both!

This is a great nursery. The staff are all amazing and friendly and it genuinely feels like a little family. When we hand our daughters over they are happy to go and it feels like the staff really cares for them. They do loads of excursions in the local area, celebrate so many cultural events which
the kids all get involved in and love.

Our daughter joined Maggie and Rose in November 2022 when she was only 6 months old. The staff and management were welcoming to my family and caring to our little one. Every day she is happy to go to the nursery and see the same faces. I trust the lovely staff like in a family environment.


We receive

regular updates on everything they do each day through the family app as well as daily pickup. Management responds promptly to all administrative questions, either via app or face-to-face.


A nice community seems to be growing around Maggie and Rose Islington.

My son has been attending the nursery for the past two years and he’s finishing their preschool group this month. His confidence, speech and social skills have improved greatly during his time at Maggie and Rose and he happily goes in every morning. The staff is absolutely amazing, everyone is very

We have been with Maggie and Rose Islington since it first opened and have had two very happy children there. It is a very warm and nurturing environment and our daughter (two) is so confident in the space. She adores the people who look after her day to day and we have a huge amount of respect for
them as childcarers and educators. They are flexible with our needs and always happy to discuss anything with us e.g. potty training. We have signed up our third child!

Our daughter has been in Maggie & Rose since 2021, she started in the baby room and she is now completing preschool. The staff at Maggie & Rose are fantastic, caring and really support the children. Our daughter has built good friendships with the children and staff. Daily activities are communicated
via the app and good updates are always provided at pick-up. The food could be better, but regular fruit snacks throughout the day are offered. I really can't stress how great the staff are. They have a small outside space and they utilise the parks and green areas locally regularly.

My son attended Maggie & Rose Islington Nursery from when it opened until the end of August 2020, only moving because we moved out of London.
I cannot fault the nursery in any way, from their communication with parents, their kindness and enthusiasm with the children, their friendliness, the activities
and lessons they do with the children and even their ability to keep children entertained via Zoom during lockdown were all just exceptional.
This was my first taste of a nursery and I was extremely anxious to send my son to one at all. He was just over 2 when he started and he was happy from his first settling in session. The app which keeps the parents up to date in almost real-time, is remarkable and something I am going to miss at his now new nursery. I know exactly what he’s eaten and how much, any injuries, how many nappy changes and we get cute photos to update us on what he’s learning.
Maggie & Rose will be very much missed by us.

This is a wonderful nursery, with a huge range of activities for little ones and staff members who really care about their emotional and intellectual development. My daughter started in October 2019 and settled in immediately. We were understandably nervous about her returning after the lockdown break,
but the measures put in place have been hugely reassuring and I feel confident that she's in great hands. All members of staff are genuinely lovely, caring and it's been a pleasure to get to know them. My daughter has really thrived in the time she's been at Maggie & Rose and it's been a delight to see her grow in skills and confidence. Communication from the team is always great and we've been well supported through tricky periods like nap transitions, potty training and a complicated house move. We have recently moved out of Islington but are keeping my daughter at Maggie & Rose and commuting in every morning - which shows how great it is!

Maggie & Rose Islington is a wonderful nursery with friendly, engaging staff. The space and the facilities are excellent, with lots of different rooms and activities (music room, art room, kids’ kitchen, and several play rooms). There’s also the adjacent club and cafe, which are great. The kids are
extremely happy with their teachers and appear to be learning a lot at every stage of their development. The teachers are quite interactive with the parents, often sending several updates with pictures during the day through the app. They serve excellent food and are kind and engaging with the children. Strongest recommendation from us.

We've been sending our daughter here since they first opened in February. We've been very happy with all aspects of this nursery, from the layout of the nursery to the food they're fed, which seems very nutritious. The outdoor space is small, however, the children get taken to the park (now with covid
restrictions finally being lifted), which I feel makes up for the small outdoor area. The staff are fabulous. They go out of their way for the children and seem to truly care about them. I've been very impressed with their communication with me. My daughter absolutely loves coming here each week.

I would highly recommend Maggie & Rose, for so many reasons. This is a happy and stimulating environment with lovely and professional staff. The staff were really supportive and patient during our settlement which wasn't easy. Our son now is so happy and content and we have seen his confidence grow
