Could not be more positive about Seahorse Nursery. The staff are amazingly friendly; they create an envirnment which has enable our child to thrive. To see the genuine excitment when he arrives in the morning is amazing. The variety provided for the children is amazing - tennis, French, music, yoga,
forest school - the food provided is brilliant, and then there is Seahorse club - amazing programe to start introducing the children to phonics, maths, hand writing and critical thinking.
A really stimulating environment, with a well thought out curriculum and excellent delivery. The kids love it and an amazing place for them to build friendships.
The relationship the kids build with the staff is clear to see as well.

Both my kids, aged 2 and 4, love going to nursery in the mornings. They have been going since they were babies and I have always felt that I left them in very capable and loving hands. The staff there are wonderful and really care about your child. They do various stimulating activities. From science
experiments to tennis lessons and art, I am often amazed by the things they learn and feel that they do much more with them within a day that I ever would've been able to do with them at home.

My child settled into Seahorse Nursery incredibly smoothly and quickly, which was such a relief as a parent. The staff in the room are absolutely wonderful-genuinely caring, kind, and attentive to each child's needs. They create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and comfortable.
The nursery offers a fantastic variety of activities every day, ensuring that children are engaged, stimulated, and learning in a fun and interactive way. Communication with parents is outstanding, with regular updates on my child's progress and daily experiences. I always feel well-informed and involved in my child's development. My sons have attended Seahorse nursery since 2021. The staff that I have daily interactions with are outstanding. The care that they have given my boys over the years has been wonderful. You can see and feel the love.
Not only have my sons been cared for and nurtured they have grown in confidence
and developed into well-rounded little people. The activities that they provide from Forest School to French to all the themes and holidays that they really go all out celebrating is second to none. It has been a joy to send my children there and we really will miss them when my son graduates.

We love Seahorse and both our little ones (2 and 1) have absolutely thrived there. The staff are lovely and really care about their development, the curriculum is very well thought through with a different theme every term and lots of activities and learning based around it. We love seeing pictures
everyday of all the activities they have enjoyed every day - tennis, music lessons, baking and loads and loads of messy play!

Reply from Shefali Shekhar, Manager at Seahorse Nursery - Wimbledon Park Day Nursery

We've been really happy with the care and education that our little guy has gotten at seahorse. The approach to early years learning really suits him, and he's flourished since joining the nursery. The staff are very attentive to individual needs, and helpful in assisting with potty training and sleep
changes.

Our family has two children who have been at Seahorse for many years. We have had a wonderful experience with Seahorse over the years and our boys have been very happy there. The real standout is the team at the nursery. They are a wonderful bunch of individuals who truly care about the children and
are genuinely passionate about what they do. I have seen massive improvements in my kids' confidence and hunger to learn which I believe stems from the nursery. The nursery is well led by a capable and competent management team and I would highly recommend the nursery to my closest family and friends. It has been a hugely positive experience and one that we will always remember fondly.

Our family relocated to London from South Korea and finding the right nursery was a great mission.

Both my children were new to English and the new environment. Seahorse staff were extremely mindful of our situation and always went the extra mile to help our boys with love and care. Fast forward

1 year and a half (today), both my boys are extremely happy and confident. We have had an amazing time and experience at the nursery and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice nursery. They have a very diverse program ranging from music, dancing, and myriads of activities, which keeps children always interesting. They also have an app that gives real-time feedback with pictures of how children do each day. For the upper class, they also do a weekly forest walk at the park, which was always a thrill for my sons. Most importantly, the teachers are amazing, and you can really tell they care for the children with their hearts. I am very grateful for that. Definitely, a thumbs up!

The team at Seahorses have a great programme that has taken great care of our son. He grew in confidence and really has embraced the fun and engaging learning. His key worker went out of her way to get to know him and help him settle and then has been there to give hugs and challenge him whenever he
needed it. The programme delivered is stimulating, educating, and above all fun, what more could you ask for, for your little one!

Finding the best childcare is one of the hardest decisions in life. As soon as I met the manager and the team at Seahorse Nursery Wimbledon Park, I felt totally at ease. My son always goes to nursery happy and comes home happy, talking excitedly about his day. This is a testament to the team’s passion,
care and attention and my child is definitely growing into a happy, confident boy. The manager and the team are incredibly engaged in all of the children’s development and have created a nurturing, safe and fun environment, where my son loves all the different activities, from crafts and music to playing outside. Their daily reports which include all of my son's activities and lovely photos are really useful and ensure that I’m kept fully up to date with everything my son enjoys and learns.

We have been really pleased with the care provided by Seahorse Nursery - Wimbledon Park Day Nursery and the progress our children have made there. The nursery workers are genuinely really loving towards the children and we have great confidence they are being well looked after. The management team are
very proactive with child development at the very core of their focus. The activities at every stage are really varied with external music classes, trips to the playground and the weekly forest school, all of which have been a real highlight. I’d definitely recommend to any family in the area.

We had an overall good experience with Seahorse Nursery, can't really compare to any other nurseries as we have no prior nursery experience. At times we did feel communication from nursery was poor and sometimes combative; this has however improved in the last few months since Seahorse reopened after
lockdown 1 and our daughter finally moved up to the next level. We also feel that the high turnover of staff is not ideal. When we enrolled our daughter back in January 2019 we did so because of the staff but in the time she left the baby room not a single one of the staff members were still with the nursery. Last thing the parent app is terrible and in today's day and age of technology, surely there must be something better out there.
Overall we had a good experience and would like to thank you for being part of our daughter's younger years education.

Reply from Gemma Laight, Marketing Manager at Seahorse Nursery - Wimbledon Park Day Nursery

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your response and we thoroughly enjoyed being part of your daughter’s formative years. We will certainly take into consideration your feedback on the parent app and share with our provider. We are sorry you felt communication didn’t always meet your expectations - this is an area we think is one of our strengths. The nursery manager recently won the UK NMT Nursery Manager of the Year Award 2020/21 which was largely based on parent testimonials.

Thank you for being a part of our Seahorse family, and all the best for the future.

Over a short period of time, the staff and in particular, the key person, made a strong bond with my 8-month-old at the time. This made the transition from home to nursery very smooth, tear-free and reassuring.

My daughter started Seahorse when she was 1. She left in August this year aged 3.5 due to starting at a nursery attached to future primary school. I truly believe she could not have been more cared for and nurtured in the way that she has been by Seahorse. From day 1, they went out of their way to make
sure she was settling in well and forming strong bonds with the staff in her room (and looking after me as I left in tears). They always provided detailed feedback on how she spent her days, including emotions/food eaten/who she had played with etc. When picking up, I would often come a bit early and everyone was having a blast whether it was reading funny stories or playing games. My daughter has the best sense of humour and is so kind and considering the time spent at Seahorse, they must at least partly take the credit. Issues like when she was scared of fireworks or would not sleep in her own bed were overcome through things Seahorse did or suggested. Thoroughly recommend them.

My son is 1 and 1/2 years old. He really enjoyed going to the nursery. As soon as he's at the gates, he's looking forward to going in. They have structured learning and always provide updates to the child's progress. The food they provide is excellent. My child was a fussy eater to start with, and slowly
he ate more and more. Also, my son enjoys helping to bake cupcakes. Overall, an outstanding nursery.

Super nursery - structured, but flexible. Seahorse manages to blend a caring environment with a firm intention to progress the children. The management and members of staff are switched on and on my wavelength. My daughter incorporates polite turns of phrases in her chat that we haven’t taught her yet.
Her interest in books and recognition of numbers are impressive (the latter aided I think by watching Numberblocks on CBBC). Her creation of pieces of art is encouraging, especially as we don’t do much art at home to avoid the mess. She says (since she turned two) she has enjoyed her day. I speak to many parents in a park who want or wanted their child to go to Seahorse, but couldn’t for lack space at the relevant time. I feel she is having a quality experience.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.269)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.269) out of 10 for Seahorse Nursery - Wimbledon Park Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.774 for Seahorse Nursery - Wimbledon Park Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (67 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.774

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.495 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Seahorse Nursery - Wimbledon Park Day Nursery is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 number of registered child places is 8.8. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.8 = 0.795

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
