Explorers Collier Row nursery in Romford is easily accessible from nearby towns and cities via public transport and is open full time, from 7.30am to 6pm looking after children from three months to five years old.

The nursery provides children with an inspiring environment where they can learn and grow to reach their full potential. The toys and equipment used all provide context for your child's learning and to cover all areas of learning.

This includes the children's personal, social and emotional development, an understanding of the world around them, communication, literacy and language, physical development, problem-solving, numeracy and of course creative development.

All staff are committed to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is inclusive, and they tailor their care to meet each individual child's needs.

Great nursery, with lovely staff. My daughter has been going to this nursery for two years and has learned so much, she's always coming home telling me how much fun she had and the activities they did for the day. She only has afternoon tea due to her starting in the afternoon but loves the food they
provide, the nursery is very clean and the staff always keep you updated when needed. The nursery has loads of great toys learning and sensory for all types of children and a nice outdoor space for the children to play. Would definitely recommend it to other mothers as my daughter has come so far since starting the nursery.

I'm very happy with Explorers Collier Row. I cannot recommend them enough. I love how committed they are to the development and welfare of all the children there. I love how they provide extra curricular activities at no extra cost. They treat my children as their own and treat them with love and respect.
I've seen two of my children flourish and grow while there and I'm confident my baby will too.

All staff are very welcoming, they make me as a mother feel that my child is in a safe environment, providing amazing communication with me about my child when he is in their care. I am very grateful for everything the support they provided for my child and me as a parent.

As soon as we went for a visit to the nursery, we knew that it was the place for our daughter to be. Due to covid, we couldn't visit during nursery hours so the manager and owner showed us around on a Saturday morning, which we really appreciated. Even though we could not see the children and staff
interaction, we did see the activities set up for the coming week, work, the outdoor area, and resources. As our daughter was only 9 months when she joined, we were very anxious about leaving her but all the staff are so caring and friendly, we didn't need to worry at all. Every single member of staff works their socks off to ensure that the children are happy, cared for, and engaged in their learning. They are always doing creative and relevant activities and we are kept up to date with everything via the app. We are so glad that we have found a nursery close to us that we feel 100% comfortable leaving our baby with.

It has been almost a year since my daughter joined Explorers Collier Row, I am so glad I sent her. I felt she really needed more social interaction with other children and to get used to being looked after by other adults other than myself. She is well loved and looked after, enjoys the food, activities
and outdoor space. I can go to work and not have any worries, I can check on the app to see what she’s been up to and what food she has eaten, also nappy changes. Overall I am extremely happy and would not hesitate to recommend it.

This was our daughter's 2nd nursery and she was nervous about starting in a new place. The staff were friendly, accommodating and flexible with her settling period. They got to know her likes and dislikes quickly, supporting her ease of settling. It was evident that she was comfortable with the staff
and other children in a relatively short space of time. We were unsure at first about the size of the nursery and worried that our daughter would feel like she didn't have enough space. However, the staff use the space so cleverly, maximising both the indoor and outdoor space. Walks out in the community are also a big selling point, allowing the children more opportunities to learn in the real world as well as a change of scenery. The smaller capacity setting has also been positive, resulting in our daughter and us building great relationships with all the staff and giving her the opportunity to interact with children of different ages helping her communication, independence and empathy.

My daughter has been attending since 9 months of age. Putting her into nursery at such a young age was very daunting but the staff made me feel at ease. After just one day my daughter had settled in, was eating, drinking and sleeping as she usually would at home and was extremely happy. Ever since she
has always had the best time at nursery and is always happy there. The staff are incredible with the children and extremely attentive. Nothing is too much trouble for them and I am kept updated on everything throughout the day. There is a lovely family feel in the nursery where all children are able to interact and join in with activities. Children of all ages are able to play with each other and the children form bonds with all of the staff. This has really helped my daughter come on leaps and bounds with her speech at an early age. I have no concerns whilst my daughter is in the care of Explorers Collier Row, and would recommend to anyone in the local area.

I have got nothing but praise for Explorers Nursery Collier Row. The management and all the staff go above and beyond which gives me the confidence to leave my child in their care on a daily basis which in turn enables me to go off to work knowing that my child is safe, stimulated and educated whilst

It's been just over a year since our son started attending this nursery and I couldn't be happier with the care and education he receives. I feel that they genuinely care about my son, his development and his well being and this is through regular communication and updates about his day, directly or
through the nursery app. The staff respect his personality, his wishes and his individual needs, directing and engaging him in the most suitable activities for him, listening to my view, requests or concerns. Regarding the academic education, they deliver an EYFS rich and balanced curriculum in an impeccable way: a very well organised and resourced environment, an array of hands-on activities and events organised for the children, highly professional staff. My son loves his nursery and he very often talks proudly of his nursery and very fondly of all his teachers.

My child has been attending Explorers from a young age owing to me returning to work from maternity leave, and I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, warmth and care provided to my son.
I have watched him progress from crawling to confidently walking during his time so far at Explorers,
and the staff have instilled confidence in him through their encouragement and his interactions with other children.
I receive regular updates on his progress and day-to-day activities through the Famly app, which is ideal as a busy working mum as I can check how he has been during the day very easily.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking to enrol their child.

This nursery is a lovely environment for any child to learn and play. The staff are wonderful and the child is placed at the centre of everything they do. They learn about and consider your child’s needs whilst encouraging them to experiment and explore new things. Very soon the child becomes a part
of the Explorers family. I cannot recommend this nursery more. The staff are experienced, creative and thoughtful, always ensuring your child feels truly loved and understood. Their interests are considered and there is a very personalised focus. I feel so lucky that my son has a place here.

My son has been in the setting for a year now and we are thrilled, so much so our daughter will be starting there later this year.
The nursery take into account my child’s interests about space or fire engines and take him to the library to read up on them or make paper mache solar systems.
The
educational trips out showing him what the world is really like, from visiting the fire/police stations to seeing farms and parks and using public transport supporting his independence and igniting his curiosity.
The teachers are incredibly caring, treating the children like their own, with nothing being too much trouble.
We are so lucky that this manager is managing the nursery with her day to day ideas making this setting an incredibly exciting place to be.

My son and I love this nursery. My son has excelled so much from being at Explorers. The facilities and staff are amazing. The activities they do are brilliant and really help the children develop and use their imagination.
I recommend this nursery to anyone who wants their children to be cared for,

My child attended Explorers for 7-months. The nursery is excellent from the academic, social and physical aspects. My child has been looked after so well by all the staff. The children are taken are on outings and trips, which enrich their learning. During the lockdown, they have continued to send the
children stories to read out by the additional companies that come into the setting. They also send the children Makaton videos teaching them sign language.
Not only have they taken trips, but they also have as I mentioned companies that come in weekly and teach the children different things. They do a phonics session with sound right phonics, which have taught my child a lot of the sounds and the songs while she was at nursery ready for school. They update you via an app throughout the day on your child's activities, food intake and any other details. Highly recommend the setting and the staff. Excellent nursery and management. They make every family feel welcome, and the children feel safe and happy.
