Royal Air Forces Association charity created RAFA Kidz to provide superb childcare in the historic village of Odiham, Hampshire, home to the RAF Odiham base.

The nursery team work in partnership with parents to support each child’s learning, development and health. The nursery features stimulating play areas and an outdoor play area that has a sensory igloo, mud kitchen and a climbing frame, with lots of games and time spent outdoors. The baby room, toddler room and pre-school room are all equipped with plenty to do and explore. Pre-schoolers mix play with structured learning and the nursery follows the EYFS curriculum.

RAFA Kidz offers three nutritious meals and two snacks a day.

Staff are consistently helpful and friendly. They adopt a collaborative approach with us as parents to address any issues and advise methods to aid our child's development at home or within the nursery.

Our son has been attending RAFA Kidz Odiham for over a year, and we couldn't be happier with the care and support he receives. The staff are incredibly nurturing, creating a warm and welcoming environment where he feels safe and happy every day.
One of the biggest changes we've noticed is how much
his vocabulary has grown. He constantly surprises us with new words and phrases, and it's clear that the engaging activities and interactions at the nursery have played a huge role in his development.
He absolutely loves all the activities they provide, from creative arts and messy play to outdoor adventures and story time. It's wonderful to see him so excited to go in every morning, knowing he's learning, exploring, and having fun with his friends.
We're so grateful to the amazing team and for their dedication and care. We highly recommend them to any parent looking for a fantastic early years setting.

I can't recommend RAFA Kidz Odiham nursery enough! The staff (front and back of house) are fantastic- they all (even staff I don't know) greet my son by name, and with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, every time they see him. They are also so helpful (a recent example is one of the ladies in the office
helping us with the government childcare scheme) and plan such lovely and varied things to do with the children.
The menu is varied and they cater for my son's dietary requirements. My son always eats all of his meals each day.
The outside space is lovely, filled with lots of toys and things to do, and even in the winter they wrap the children up and either play with them outside (which I love) or take them for a walk- I love that my son gets fresh air and plays outside.
My son is just under 2 (has attended full-time for 10 months) and is always excited to walk in each day, waving and smiling at the staff, which I think speaks volumes.
I am so grateful for all they do. Thank you!

RAFA Kidz Nursery is absolutely amazing and my daughter loves it. The staff are so friendly and communicative! My child is developing her social skills and naps more regularly since starting. She loves getting ready in the morning to go!

RAFA Kidz is a brilliant nursery. The nursery staff including management, admin and the nursery chef are caring, attentive and know the children well. Our children have loved the varied and engaging activities at the nursery. It is clear that a lot of thought, time and effort is put into making learning
fun while supporting each child's individual development. We have felt part of a family with all of the nursery team and have felt very supported by them. We would highly recommend RAFA Kidz Odiham to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and we feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful, caring and happy environment for our children.

Rafa Kidz is a brilliant nursery. Our daughter has thrived at this nursery. Attending since she was 10 months old until starting school they have supported and nurtured her through the years. We are a military family and they have been fabulous. All the staff are friendly and approachable. My daughter
loves the nursery so much! I would recommend Rafa Kidz at Odiham over and over again!

My eldest daughter has been with Rafa Kidz Odiham since 2020 and has absolutely loved her time there. We have watched the nursery grow and develop into a wonderful, nurturing and fun environment for the children. The staff are all so lovely and caring and really have become an extension of our family
for both of our girls. My youngest can't wait to get out of the house every morning and excitedly runs into the nursery as soon as she sees the door. Both my daughters have grown so much emotionally, academically and socially, all with the help of the amazing staff and the environment!

Lovely staff, warm and friendly. My daughter loves cuddles and lots of interactive play. A real family environment. On sunny days they spend lots of time outdoors running around and playing. Wet days are filled with fun activities (which are well thought out and varied) and lots of exploration.

I have put my 20-month-old and 6-month-old into Rafa Kidz and I have had nothing but confidence in the care that my children receive. I have had nothing but great experiences with the team and management, all of my and my children’s needs have been met. Could not recommend enough!

RAFA Kidz is a lovely nursery for both children and adults. All staff are very polite and take the time to make you feel welcome. My child is developing more and more by the day, and the staff are always very excited to tell me what milestones have been reached, who she has been playing with and what
activities she has been up to.
I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone. My daughter loves going and seeing all her friends and the staff.

Our son has settled brilliantly and we firmly believe this is down to the staff.
They have enhanced his confidence and we have watched him flourish.
Potty training during week was not the best timing but the staff were supportive and he did very well.
He is engaging in learning and getting more independent
by the week.

My children have been attending RAFA Kidz for years. Sadly my youngest has just finished as she gets ready for school. The staff were so kind to give up their Saturday morning to put on a fantastic graduation party for the children and families.
The staff at RAFA Kidz are wonderful. So kind and helpful.
Always going out of their way to help and provide a wonderful experience for the children. I am sad that our RAFA Kidz journey has come to an end but will look back on it with a smile.

I must say that this nursery is lovely. In the beginning, it was my eldest son who will be in year 3 as of September, followed shortly thereafter by my second son who attended Rafa kidz. As a result of spending time at the nursery, both of my children have learned all the basic skills they will need
for primary school. We were very impressed with the staff's kindness and care. Moreover, the cyclic menu is full of nutritional value and tasty for kids as well. Overall, it is a very good nursery providing professional care.

My son joined RAFA Kidz in September 2019 at 18 months old and has just graduated from the preschool class of 2022. I couldn't be more pleased with the development of my son during this time. Friendships have flourished between key workers and other children as well as lots of opportunities for new
experiences. Staff have always greeted us with a smile and been available to listen to any concerns. They have also persevered! When we first left my son he was not a happy chap and screamed a lot. But the staff worked well at settling him and encouraging him to explore new things. I couldn't recommend RAFA Kidz enough for the growth and development of your child.

Our little one has been at RAFA Kidz Odiham since 9 months old. Although there has been many changes over our time, what I can say is the management are amazing. They go above and beyond for the families and more importantly the children. The children are at the heart of everything planned and it's
been particularly nice to see outer agencies and organised events coming into the setting, which our little one has really enjoyed. Our little one is now more than ready for school and will miss friends and staff. He is always running in and out with a big smile which makes me very happy. Thank you for making his time memorable, he definitely will not forget the staff.

My wee girl absolutely loves being at RAFA Kidz Odiham. She started in the toddler room last year and immediately bonded with her amazing key worker. I was worried about her moving up to the preschool room at the start of this year since she had bonded so well with the staff in the toddler room but
since moving up she absolutely loves her new keyworker and her confidence has grown massively since moving up rooms too. She has made a lot of new friends in the preschool room and is progressing and developing loads too. The main thing for me is that she’s surrounded by really positive and supportive staff in the nursery who all really care about the children they work with and she has so much fun on the three days a week that she’s in nursery. Thank you RAFA Kidz Odiham for giving our wee girl such a good experience at nursery.

2020, the year of the pandemic! Thank you RAFA Kidz Odiham! After the first lockdown, my childminder was unable to continue having our son and his nursery at the time was only open term time. We loved the nursery but had to make the hard decision to move our son to fit in with both of us working full
time. In July 2020 I had a fantastic conversation with one member of staff, followed by inductions with another. My son and I were made to feel so welcome. He settled in so well, meeting new friends, being cared for by lovely staff, eating gorgeous food, continually learning and being able to play in such a fantastic garden. The staff have been truly amazing throughout. They have all had to deal with so much, both at the nursery and their personal lives during Covid-19 but their care of the children could not have been better throughout such a challenging time for everyone. I am so grateful to all of them for being such a fun and positive part of my little man's day.

I would recommend this nursery to anyone since my child started here she has learned so much. My child has additional needs and the nursery is so well equipped to handle any additional needs and they are very experienced, so helpful and friendly. When my child first started here she couldn't even say
more than 5 words now she can speak sentences and has come so far with the help and support of the staff here at this nursery. My child loves coming here.

Both my boys attend here and love it! I have a 16mth old in the baby room and he is thriving and enjoys going to spend time with his favourite people, he is a very active little boy and there is so much to keep him occupied and to further his development. I absolutely love the relationships and bonds
he has with the staff within the room and how they take the time to know his personality and what are his likes and dislikes.
My 4-year-old is in the older room and he has so much fun, I love how the staff are encouraging more independence ready for school but still also on hand to help him when he needs/wants it. The garden space is amazing and gives him a chance to burn off some of his energy. He is also a massive fan of the food and the menu is fabulous, my youngest son has a dairy allergy and this is catered for perfectly.
My boys going into nursery happy and smiling on a morning shows me how happy and settled they are there!
