My child hasn't been at nursery long but how happy he is in a short amount of time goes to show how comforting the staff are toward the children when settling. They get involved in all sorts of activities daily. Each member of staff is very friendly and communication is always great. I'm very happy
and feel that we are very settled already.

A wonderful nursery with a real community feel!
We feel so lucky our son has started at Rainbow Corner. It’s a lovely, calming setting, in the centre of Windlesham, surrounded by trees and nature and the perfect size.
The team are fantastic - super caring and always happy to see our son. Our son
settled really quickly and goes in every day happy which is testament to the team and the lovely environment they’ve created!

Both our daughters have attended Rainbow Corner for just over a year now and absolutely love it! The care and love that is shown towards the children is exceptional and they both have the best time there. Our eldest is always excited to tell me what she’s done that day and our 21-month-old has come
on leaps and bounds, she loves going to nursery and is more than happy to walk in every morning without even looking back to say goodbye. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Our eldest son started at Rainbow Corner Windlesham in August 2023. Being our first child to start nursery I was very nervous about how he would settle into nursery life - what was I worrying about! Every single member of staff has been amazing- all so caring and supportive, not only to our son but
to me too! I love how every key worker knows our son personally and how they always have time to talk to me about his day. Another fantastic thing they do is update me about his day on the app, this provides me with reassurance that he is happy and having fun. The setting of the nursery is wonderful with the added bonus of weekly outings to forest school. Our son loves exploring outside especially playing in the nursery garden. I would recommend Rainbow Corner in a heartbeat and I am so happy with the love and care our son receives in your setting. Thank you to you all!

My daughter has been at Rainbow Corner Day Nursery for just over three years and left last week due to starting school in September. She has absolutely loved going to nursery and I can’t thank the staff enough for everything they have done, it’s an amazing nursery. My younger daughter is still there
and has been for the past year.
All the staff really get to know each and every child there and are so friendly and attentive. They keep you up to date via the app and do focus weeks every six weeks to let you know how your child is getting on.
I would highly recommend Rainbow Corner to everyone. Thank you.

Sadly my experience of Rainbow Corner was not a good one. The staff and management are very dismissive of any issues or concerns you raise and just respond with a 'we are qualified and know best' attitude. I would not recommend this nursery for parents of young babies and toddlers as I don't believe
they have the right standard of care available to meet their needs and developmental milestones. There also appears to be a high level of staff turnover and little communication on this was ever given even if it is your child's keyworker. I have since moved my son to another local nursery and he is so much happier.

Reply from Emma Fowles, Operations Manager at Rainbow Corner Windlesham

Dear Natalie, we are sorry you feel unable to recommend our nursery after such a short period of time with us. We take all concerns very seriously and spoke to you as soon as you raised your concerns with us and also offered to have a face to face meeting with yourself and our nursery manager, which you did not take up. Unfortunately you removed your child with immediate affect, without giving us the opportunity to discuss how your child was settling into nursery. We do send regular newsletters to our parents updating them on changes and we do this in a timely manner. We wish you all the best for the future.

Nothing better than leaving your daughter happily at nursery, the keyworkers are amazing! It has been a year since she started and she loves it. They have an app to keep track of the day which is amazing, it made a massive difference when she started as I am a first time mum.

Since my daughter joined the nursery, I’ve had zero hesitations about whether it was the right one for her! Rainbow Corner Windlesham has a really authentic feel about it, and the staff are genuinely lovely and you can tell they really care about my child’s development. I love that they also have a
forest school and an outdoor space, this is great for my daughter who loves exploring!

A loving environment where little ones learn a lot through child-led play and exposure to nature. Their day is nicely structured to allow them to have snacks and meals together, go on walks, sleep safely and play in the garden and in the room with suitable material. The staff are always welcoming and
polite and my almost 2-year-old loves spending his day there. They have a very diverse meal plan that seems delicious and nutritious and they promote healthy habits.
Overall very satisfied.

I am so happy with my choice of Rainbow Nursery for my 1-year-old boy. He started at 10 months old and has flourished, even whilst only attending 1 day a week. I believe he loves being around the staff and children and enjoys the activities and food they provide. I always see his key worker at every
drop-off and pick up and get a detailed handover. The online system they use for tracking day-to-day things and developmental progress is really easy to use. The staff there seem to really care about my little one and are always pleased to see him.

My daughter has been going to Rainbow Corner for six months now and I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough. The team are wonderful. They have made a huge effort to get to know my daughter and to support her with settling in and her development. We are kept updated throughout the day on eats and
sleeps through the ParentAdmin app which is really useful. The team also use the app to send us photos and reports on what she's been up to and how she's developing. The children always have the opportunity to go outside to play and learn, which our daughter just loves and was a huge motivator for us choosing this nursery. At the end of the day the team always take the time to tell us what she's been up to that day. It feels like a real community as the nursery also gets involved with local events such as Christmas carols and summer BBQ. The food is also fantastic. My daughter is clearly very happy here.

My son has been at Rainbow Corner for a few months now and has enjoyed every minute. He gets so excited to go he bounces on his way in. The staff always greet with a smile and ask how he is. They have worked with us to facilitate toileting and also through some family situations which have been tricky.
The forest school set up is excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. The child is supported through targeted approach during focus weeks and we are given valuable feedback online about his progress. Lovely village nursery with caring staff!

My daughter is in the nursery since she was eleven months old and she absolutely loves it. I was so nervous and anxious to leave my baby with other people that it wasn't me, but after seeing how much she enjoys it I can't wait to bring her back every week.
The staff are amazing, they listen to you
and they make sure to adapt your baby routine into the nursery. They basically make you feel that your baby is secure and doing exactly what she is doing at home.. but more fun of course! As a mum, this is very important.
They call you for even a little bump in the head.. also if for some reason my baby is not being herself..and that has built the level of trust.
The nursery gives you an incredible digital report where you can see areas of development of your baby.
They do a lot of fun activities and are very involved in the community, which is great!
The level of communication is very high, and I appreciate that a lot.
The staff are amazing and very professional indeed. Very happy people!

This nursery has been excellent for my three year old. She loves attending and I trust the team to look after her when I am at work all day. The staff are responsive and spend time with each parent to talk about their child at the end of the day and they are very communicative generally, for example,
my child comes from a plant-based household where I am flexible about her getting the odd cake or dairy item but the staff always phone me to check which reassures me they are considering our choices. The children all seem very happy and keen to get into the nursery and they do a lot of activities including Forest School. The nursery is in an excellent location and is kept tidy. My little girl loves it when they plait her hair all nicely and she comes home looking even nicer than when I sent her!

Our daughter has been going to Rainbow Corner since Aug 2021 and absolutely loves it.
She was just one when she started and it was all new to her and us but from the first time visiting the nursery, we knew it would be great. There is a very welcoming and comforting atmosphere there interlinked perfectly
with strong professionalism and expertise.

She thoroughly enjoys the days she is there and the leap we have seen in her over the last six months in terms of vocabulary, confidence, learning, socialising is amazing.

We love that Forest School is a part of her week and that she can go and be completely free to learn, get messy and have fun with the fantastic team there.

Our little boy started at Rainbow Corner in November 2021 just two days a week to get him settled before he started properly in January when I returned to work. They have been amazing, he has settled in so well and always smiles when he sees the staff. I was so nervous when he started as he was only
nine months old but Robyn his key worker has been fantastic at helping him get to grips with nursery life. He’s always able to get a cuddle if he wants one and they are just so lovely and caring. His eating has come on leaps and bounds since attending as well as his development. We are really impressed with the communication from the nursery and the updates we get during the day via ParentAdmin are so helpful to know what he’s eaten/how much he’s slept. I would recommend this nursery without hesitation, the forest school and free flow environment was really important to us and our little boy seems to love getting outside too! Thank you to everyone at Rainbow Corner.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.420)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.420) out of 10 for Rainbow Corner Windlesham is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.620 for Rainbow Corner Windlesham is calculated as follows: ( (95 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (6 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.62

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rainbow Corner Windlesham is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 number of registered child places is 7.2, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
