Banana Moon Day Nursery Littleover sees everything from the point of view of parents and has created a caring, loving environment for children up to five years of age.

The nursery is purpose-built and provides children with a safe, light and airy learning environment. There is an on-site kitchen that produces freshly cooked and healthy food every day to give the children the energy they need to play and learn.

The outdoor area comprises a secure playground and a natural adventure area for children to explore.

Moved my son here after becoming increasingly despondent with a previous nursery and cannot fault the care given to my son in helping him to settle, which he didn’t find easy. They are incredibly up-to-date on safeguarding and GDPR training. Events to invite parents in are well organised, and as parents,
we quickly felt part of the ‘family’. Would highly recommend.

We are so happy with Banana Moon for our daughter. She is about to turn 3 and has been attending full time since they opened. I remember when we first went in for a look around, we instantly had the feeling that it just felt right. We had seen several other nurseries and they all had something that
made us feel uneasy, but at Banana Moon everything is great. The layout of the rooms is amazing and the facilities being purpose-built makes such a big difference to the space. The staff are all so wonderful and friendly and give parents such a good report at the end of the day about the kids' day and what they did and the app is brilliant for communicating details about what they have done, how much and what they have eaten, nappy changes, sleep and pictures. I absolutely love their child-led approach and I love seeing that they plan activities based on the children’s interests! And the best review is that my daughter absolutely loves going and happily runs in every morning!

Really impressed with Banana Moon. Since the first time I went to see the nursery, I was extremely impressed with the service, the layout, cleanliness and level of detail to make the children’s time there a happy one. The nursery teachers always make you feel at ease and that my child is happy there.
If there’s anything I need to query big or small I know it will be answered. I would definitely recommend banana moon to anyone who is considering their child to go.

Banana Moon is the best nursery my son has been too, the toys and amenities are to a high specification. All the staff, especially the manager, are caring, attentive and friendly. The activities are tailored, educational and most of all, fun.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. Our 3.5-year-old has clearly developed since being there. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and our son constantly talks about them at home. He has made lots of friends since being there. We are assured that our child is looked after and cared for when at the nursery.

Fantastic nursery! My son has been here since it opened and absolutely loves going there. The staff are great. They have a fantastic app in place which updates throughout the day letting me know how my son is getting on. Really recommend to anyone thinking about sending their child there!

Absolutely brilliant nursery! My four-year-old has thoroughly enjoyed every session, learning new things and making new friends. She’s been very happy here and will miss everyone dearly when she leaves to start big school. I personally want to say thank you to all the staff for making my daughter feel
so welcome. They are friendly and approachable and are a credit to the nursery. It fills me with confidence that when my youngest starts here later in the year, she will be in the best care. 100% recommend!

Fantastic nursery! My 2 boys love coming here, staff are amazing. They are so well looked after and the app is fantastic, updated throughout the day with what they have been doing. It was such a smooth transition after lockdown. They are both so excited to attend, they don't ever want to leave! All
the staff are so warm and welcoming and the facilities are amazing! If anyone is looking for an outstanding nursery this is the one!
It's so clean and tidy, the meals are all prepared fresh with an amazing variety.
100 per cent recommend this nursery!

My name is Dalraj and I have worked at Banana Moon Day Nursery in Littleover since June 2021.
I started the nursery as an Assistant Room Leader in Mini Moons and was then offered the Room Leader role in Full Moons in August 2021. I then settled into this role and became the Assistant Deputy Manager at the same time. In October 2022 I became the Deputy Manager.


I am the Nursery Manager and have been in this role since April 2023. I have a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and I have worked with children for 23 years.
I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead and also have a Pediatrician First Aid Qualification.


I am a Mum to two children, a daughter who is 17 years old and a son who is 14 years old.
