Grace's Day Nursery provides childcare and education for children aged between two to five years old in a stunning, large manor house.

Nursery House is situated away from the main road and opposite a beautiful paddock that is home to the Ruxley Reindeer. The setting has been fully modernised and is filled with modern facilities including a dedicated soft play room, library and children's kitchen.

Children have plenty of opportunities to venture outside and explore in the large outdoor play area, including a huge sandpit. The children can also grow their own vegetables in the garden, watch them grow and pick them for the nursery's chef to cook!

Both my daughters (4 and 2) have attended Grace Nursery (Nursery House) since they were just over 1 and it has been fantastic for them. They are really happy to go into nursery each day which is the best recommendation you can get! The level of care is excellent, all the staff are just wonderful with
the kids and are good at keeping us updated about how their days have been and to discuss anything else we want to. The nursery rooms are clean, bright and busy, and full of activities and great play setups. The food always smells good in the morning and there seems a good variety in the menu. The outdoor spaces are well set out with separate gardens for the big and littles, and there is a lovely forest school area that the kids get to go to for a term each year.
My kids have both learnt so much at nursery and I like the approach the staff take to learning through play and enjoyment. I am so glad we chose the Nursery House, I can leave my children there and know they are safe and happy!

As a parent I want the best for our child and an investment in education is one of the most important. Grace's Day Nursery was our little girl's first foray into the community and it was a very pleasant experience with an easy adjustment.
The staff shows a lot of professionalism, they get involved
as every parent wants. A very important aspect is the fact that I received permanent feedback from the educators and the nursery staff, that I was kept informed of the progress or problems the child was facing. Being outside almost every day, regardless of the weather, is wonderful for children and gratifying for parents. The activities they have every day are very beautiful, useful and educational. There is also an emphasis on discipline and good child rearing, including care and consideration in relationships with other children.
I want to wish Grace's Day Nursery continued success and assure her of all my thanks and consideration.

We're really happy with Grace's Day Nursery House, our little boy has progressed so much since being there. All the staff are fantastic and work so hard for the children and it really shows. The curriculum and framework that's put in place really shows through with the progress that our little boy has
made. Management are also great and help with any questions or concerns we've ever had.

My daughter has been at Grace's since she was 2, she will be leaving to go to school in September and I am devastated that she will be leaving the nursery, we have such fond memories of her time there and it is a huge part of our lives! The care and attention given is excellent along with the facilities.
Some of the best things about Grace's along with the staff are things such as forest school and the food which is all cooked fresh and on-site it's amazing, my daughter has come on so well here!

My toddler has been attending Grace's for just under a year. I was pleased with how quickly he has settled into nursery life, the staff are very professional, I get daily updates/photos and notifications from the app that the nursery uses on my little one, he has a great variety of activities while
at nursery, the outdoor space is brilliant. He looks forward to going to nursery, and has a great time there and I feel he is developing well.

Grace's Day Nursery- Nursery House is an excellent nursery. My son has been there since he was 11 months old. He's now 3 and he has flourished and thrived whilst at nursery house. The management team are exceptional and the staff are so helpful. On pick-up, I always get an in-depth explanation of how
my son's day has been which I really appreciate. Overall it's a great nursery!

Our little one started at Grace’s right after she turned one and has been attending the nursery for over a year now. She transitioned from Little Buds to Blooms a month ago. Right from settling into her transition to the next room, we have been at ease knowing that she is in excellent hands.
It is
a combination of kindness, politeness and enthusiasm which makes the team so good at what they do. The little one looks forward to spending the day with them every morning, she is welcomed with a smile and a cuddle, and we are posted of all the amazing activities she has done throughout the day. We often find her in the lap of one of the carers reading a book or exploring the garden at her own pace when it's time to pick her up.
The management is very approachable over the phone and emails throughout the day and is always up for a chat, listening to our concerns and answering our queries.
Overall, we are very pleased with Grace’s and couldn't have asked for better carers for our baby.

My 4-year-old has been with the nursery for over a year now. Her development was a bit behind in my view as she was with a nanny from 10-months-old. Unable to socialise with the other kids has affected her in many ways. I'm really pleased to see how much progress she's made ever since she started at
Grace's. She's much more independent, confident and mastered so many skills. When I delivered my second baby I did not hesitate to send him to Grace's too. It's a real relief to know your children are being looked after by a group of dedicated professionals! I would recommend Grace's to any parent.

Been associated with Grace's for over 5 months now. Our daughter has been enjoying her time here, especially the garden time and the sandpit.
Not only is the nursery focused on outdoor activities - our little one has been learning words/sentences rapidly - and most of the time she amazes us with her
knowledge.
Big thank you to all nursery staff and the smooth conduct of the nursery by the manager and staff. You all surely deserve a hip-hip-hooray for taking care of our children so well.

My son has been coming to Grace's Day Nursery since 2020, he started at the age of one and has loved it since day one. The staff are very welcoming and great with the children and my son has really developed since joining Grace's. I couldn’t wish for a better nursery, my son is always happy there and
I know he is always doing something fun and enjoying his day whilst there. My daughter will also be joining this year when she turns one and I am sure she will love it just as much. The outside space was one of the reasons I loved this nursery as my son loves being outside and they get lots of opportunities to explore the outside space during their day. They also have the opportunity to take part in extra activities whilst there like sports for tots which my son loves

Overall a very positive experience with Grace's Day Nursery. All staff are friendly and professional. My daughter has just moved up a class and the staff have done so well to help her settle in, only took a few days for my daughter to smile and be herself again in her new room. The gardens and play
area at Grace's Day Nursery are excellent, there is so much wildlife in the garden and not to mention the reindeer next door, my daughter loves them. I also enjoy receiving lovely pictures and videos of her regularly, to see her doing so well and playing with others really makes my day, please keep sending them! There are also other extra curriculums, like Yoga and Sports tots with a small fee, my daughter really enjoys those too. Grace's Day Nursery is definitely a safe and enjoyable environment for my daughter to be in and flourish, so thanks to everyone that looks after her at Grace's Day Nursery, you are doing a great job!

I was very hesitant to send my little boy to the nursery to begin with as he had only really known his close family due to lockdown. However, after looking at several nurseries and being disappointed, we came to Nursery House for an open day and thought that the setting (inside and out) was amazing!
Our little boy wanted to play instantly and felt comfortable enough to leave us so that he could go and play. We made up our minds very quickly that this was the setting for us. Since then I feel that my son has come on leaps and bounds in terms of his development and also socially too. He is always up to different activities each day and comes home talking about the things he has learnt, which is so lovely. Everyone that works there is always so positive and they really take the time to get to know the family, so whenever you have a chat it’s always personal. My son goes in and comes home happy each day and we feel relaxed knowing he is well cared for. Without a doubt the best nursery around!

Returning to work and knowing you have to use a nursery can be terrifying but the Grace's team were so understanding of that and were happy to answer any questions we had and support us through the process. Grace's carried out a detailed handover to ensure they knew what my little girl's essentials were...but
also what little quirks and preferences she has.
I can't stress enough how lovely the team and key workers have been.
My baby girl has instantly settled with them and I am so grateful for their professional and sympathetic approach. My little girl struggles when I'm not around but she settled very quickly with Grace's. I will always be happy to recommend Grace's to any parent.

Great staff, great premises, great activities, great community, great communication, animals on site and I can genuinely give no faults. The best environment for my child. They look after, clean and feed my boy and take care of him to the same standard I would and that's saying something.

Grace's Day Nursery is a fabulous nursery and my little boy loves it! The staff are amazing, they send lots of photos and videos of what he’s up to throughout the day and he always had a smile on his face. Through the craziness of the pandemic, the nursery has put measures in place that reassured me
that it is safe and put my mind at ease.

My son very quickly settled in at Grace's Day Nursery, thanks to the kindness, patience and energy of the team.
It's is in a beautiful location, the rooms are light, spacious and fully equipped, and the gardens (my son's favourite part - especially the little slide) are great. We knew from the moment
we were shown around that he'd be happy there.
I have loved seeing photos, observations and daily diary entries on the app so I know what my one-year-old gets up to during the day. He isn't always happy to be left in the morning, but the team take it in their stride to comfort him and before long he is happy running around the nursery for the rest of the day with his friends!
I was worried as he is often a fussy eater at home but at Grace's he has been tempted by new foods (I'm jealous of some of the meals he's had) and doing well at mealtimes, supported by the staff and they have let me know at the end of the day.
Couldn't ask for more for a nursery for our little man!

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.897)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.897) out of 10 for Grace's Day Nursery - Nursery House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.944 for Grace's Day Nursery - Nursery House is calculated as follows: ( (68 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.944

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.953 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Grace's Day Nursery - Nursery House is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 number of registered child places is 17. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 17 = 0.353

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
