The Learning Experience provides childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years old in East Finchley, London.

The centre is purpose-built and features an interactive classroom, a colourful miniature high street, age-appropriate play rooms and a spacious playground.

The team follow the EYFS curriculum to support children to meet their social, physical and academic development goals.

The centre has its own unique animated characters, introduced based on scientific finding that characters help children to engage in learning. Each character has a particular strength to inspire children, such as Lionstein the lion who loves science and a fitness instructor flamingo. They even have characters to aid with language skills in Spanish and Mandarin.

Fantastic nursery, I looked at many in the area, it's a hard decision to make for any parent. We are 1 year in and my toddler is thriving, her vocabulary is expanding, she is happy to be dropped off each day, we receive regular updates through the day and at collection which gives lots of comfort. The
space is clean and airy with a nice outdoor play area, again this is different from many others in the area that tend to be in buildings not originally designed for nursery use. Highly recommend!

Incredible staff; friendly, smiley and they do make you feel safe leaving your little one there! They keep you updated all the time how the day is going even so when you pick up the little one they come at the door and explain everything that happened during the day. Always ready to answer your questions
and worries! I do highly recommend. Very clean, very safe, parking organised.

The Learning Experience are nothing short of incredible. Happy does happen here. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and at ease. The environment is bright, clean, and full of fun learning materials, providing a perfect space for children to explore and grow. The teachers are
incredibly attentive, nurturing, and truly passionate about their work, which gives me peace of mind knowing my child is in good hands. Both my sons love coming to this nursery, the staff are so knowledgeable and caring and they do so many fun and educational activities with the children. The ppecial educational needs co-ordinator has helped us so much, as one of my sons has additional needs, and he's thrived at the nursery. They've
gone above and beyond what we hoped for helping him to learn and grow and the nursery feels like a second home for my children. We would highly recommend it.

We knew we wanted our son to attend The Learning Experience after we had such a great experience sending our daughter there two years prior. The staff are so lovely, knowledgeable and attentive, and the school itself is clean, organised and well-run. We get regular updates throughout the day on what
our son is doing, and he always looks so happy and busy. We're confident he'll be just as ready for Reception as our daughter was, which was well beyond expectations.

After 3 months we had to withdraw our daughter. We liked her key worker and the room lead in Infant A.
Settled not handled well. Pre-filled forms not read. Different staff on the last day of settle so daughter was distressed. Disregard by cover staff of her dietary needs (she was on milk ladder). Regular
lies about key worker being on a day off when she was in fact covering other rooms. Too much office staff but not enough classroom staff. Meals were often different from the menu. There were several consecutive days where baked beans were served for tea, this led to really bad stomach aches in the middle of the night for days. Told by office staff to 'find a chair from any classroom' to hold open the glass door to access the buggy room. On many occasions, staff didn't even notice me slip in and out of a classroom by the front door which is a huge safeguarding concern. Paid to keep her spot in Infant A (Xmas) but emailed she was moving up rooms (she could not stand up). Loads of merchandising.

I can't say enough good things about The Learning Experience Day Nursery. It has been a wonderful environment for my child, where he feels happy and secure every day. The staff are exceptionally loving and caring, treating each child with kindness and respect. They make every effort to ensure that children
are comfortable and engaged. One thing that stands out to me is how well the teachers handle moments when my child feels unsettled. They are quick to offer reassuring cuddles and use books and toys to distract and engage him, taking into account his personal interests which helps my child feel at ease. The communication with parents is also excellent. I always receive positive feedback during pickups, keeping me informed about my child's day and progress. It's reassuring to know that the staff genuinely care about his development and well-being. I highly recommend The Learning Experience Day Nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing environment.

We love The Learning Experience. It has a wonderful curriculum, healthy eating, focus on kindness, play, and knowledge. The activities for the children are inventive and fun and my daughter especially loves the leap board. I am impressed that my daughter at the age of 3 1/2 can spell her name and is
currently working on writing it. It is a great place and we are very happy with the care and education she receives at The Learning Experience.

If you care about the safety and well-being of your child, avoid this nursery at all costs!
We had no choice but to immediately remove my children in January 2024 after witnessing a horrific episode of verbal abuse by a senior member of staff. The teacher was screaming and shouting in my children’s
face, whilst towering over them as they were sobbing. There is a huge lack of professionalism from most members of staff. A lot of agency staff so the children rarely have consistency in the teachers they see each day. We have subsequently had to seek therapy for our young children to help them deal with the immense trauma they experienced at The Learning Experience. I am horrified and let down that I trusted this nursery to safeguard my children, when in fact they did nothing but scare and mentally/verbally abuse them. This nursery doesn’t care about anything except £! Avoid this nursery if you care about the development and safety of your little ones. They are the future.

It's not often a company truly lives up to its promise, but 'happy happens here' is spot on for The Learning Experience. The staff are all so friendly and happy and seem to love what they do and where they work. This translates into visibly happy children in each room. Handing your baby over to strangers
is such a scary thing, but The Learning Experience has made the process so much easier than expected. The place is spotless too!

Fantastic nursery made possible by the fantastic management and staff. The staff are so caring and loving towards the kids, the management is very attentive to whatever is brought to them, and the kids all seem happy there. The chef is also one of the nicest people you could meet, just like all of the
staff from top to bottom. Kids get plenty of exercise and physical activity when the weather permits which is also a big positive. Overall a fantastic experience for us. Sometimes our 3-year-old doesn't want to leave whenever I go to pick him up early on work-from-home days.

I am happy to recommend this nursery. My child settled in very well and has a lovely relationship with the nursery staff. The staff are all very approachable and friendly. I feel completely at ease knowing he is safe, happy, and well looked after. He loves the food, and the updates throughout the day
are great. The activities are always changing and relevant to the current topic, and my child particularly loves the sensory tuft trays.

Our daughter has absolutely blossomed at The Learning Experience! A year ago, she was so shy and uncertain around other kids. Now, she has so many “best friends” and comes home every day with exciting new stories from the nursery. The staff are so attentive to each kid's needs and are super responsive
if anything does happen that needs adjustment. We get pictures throughout the day of what activities they are up to, and I love how much they focus on sensory play and balance educated learning with pretend play.

After reading the excellent reviews, we enrolled our 9-month-old daughter in September. Although our daughter struggled to settle and would cry uncontrollably every day at pick up and drop-offs, we didn't think anything about it and assumed she is taking longer than other babies to get used to the new
surroundings.
Around 3 months from starting here, my daughter came home with a bloodied t-shirt and an open wound. She has eczema and I informed her key person about it. But that day they let my daughter scratch her arm till it bled. When I picked her up, I was told the usual "she had a lovely day". Nobody bothered to tell me about it and no incident report was submitted.
The next morning at drop off I brought it up to the staff in the room. She said, she doesn't know anything about it and to talk to the key person.
Luckily, we found another nursery. She is thriving. No tears at pick-up and drop-offs. The staff is caring and provide good feedback.
