Tinky’s Day Nursery is a brand NEW (purpose built) nursery located in the Hendon area of the London Borough of Barnet. They are situated just off Watford Way with great transport links to and from London. They provide high quality education and care for all children which are appropriate to their individual needs.

The setting has three, well-lit and bright learning rooms for all baby, toddler, and pre-school aged children. The resources have been carefully selected to suit the ages and stages of the children and each room have their own air conditioning unit.   

At Tinky’s Day Nursery, they believe that early years are the most important years of a child’s life. Their ethos is to create a ‘home away from home’ learning environment for all children, offering many opportunities for children to play, explore, be curious and make choices, both indoors and outdoors. They also have a strong emphasis on ‘Going Green’ where they ensure they recycle, reuse and reduce the amount of waste they create.

Our experience with the nursery has been outstanding. Our little one moved from another nursery post-pandemic, and the team have been exemplary during his settling period. ‘Mums’ away from home, the staff had him settled within a few sessions, compared to his previous nursery, where months later I would
find myself dropping and collecting a very miserable child. Quite naturally I was worried my child would struggle again in a new setting, but credit to the nursery, they have flipped both mine and my little one’s experience of nurseries! I do not look forward to moving him to school soon, as he loves it so much. I cannot thank the staff enough in their caring and genuine passion towards handling my son. He looks forward to going in and is extremely happy when I pick him up - and that is the crux of what every parent wants at that age.

I knew from our first visit to Tinky's Day Nursery that this was the right place for our son.
From the first settle session I left feeling happy and content our son was safe and in great hands.
Our son looks forward to his days at Tinkys and I feel comfortable at work knowing he is enjoying himself
and looked after.
I believe he will thrive and be supported and encouraged with the support of the staff.
Every member of staff I have dealt with has been a delight. I am so glad we chose Tinkys.

We just moved to the UK a few months ago and I looked at several nurseries that just didn't seem right. My son doesn't speak any English and has separation anxiety after long months at home with us. Tinky's Day Nursery took him in with such love! He loves it there. They are open and communicative, share
his day with us, helped us with funding and understanding of the way nurseries work here. Every kid goes in and comes out with a huge smile and it's so great to see.

My boy has been attending the daycare only for a month and surprisingly for his parents he just never stops asking if he is going back tomorrow. My daughter is very happy and all staff are amazing
I was looking for a nice environment and found Tinkys.
My daughter has a big smile when she arrives at the nursery.
They give a report at the end of the day saying how her day was, which is usually very positive.

I chose Tinky's Day Nursery because it is an independently run, newly opened nursery, close to where I live. Extra curricular activities are included in the fee and when Covid-19 regulations came in, you had the flexibility of dropping off early and late without extra fees or penalties. This isn't something
you find with other nurseries. I have had experience with two different nurseries with my other children and you get more of a personal one on one experience with Tinky's Day Nursery, which I personally haven't experienced anywhere else. The staff are professional and the nursery is well ran with a great balanced food menu. They go above and beyond for the children and parents. I would highly recommend Tinky's Day Nursery to anyone looking for a safe and secure environment for their child.

My son started in January. We found the staff be caring and patient, both important attributes given to our child. When I come here there is a warm feeling and all the staff are friendly. I have full confidence in them when I leave my little one in the mornings. Great learning place.

Great Nursery! Sending you daily and monthly report of your child’s meals, activities, progress and feedbacks. Very warm, friendly and caring staff. Also, the management is responsive and approachable. My daughter really enjoys her time at the nursery.

Tinky's nursery is amazing! I am a mother of two, my son is 10, and my daughter is 1. I’m extremely happy with how well my daughter has settled in; she loves Tinkys, especially the staff; they are all very welcoming and understanding of my daughters needs and wants. I’m currently working part-time and
studying, and Tinky's has been a great support; there’s always lovely, positive energy at pick up and drop-off.

Tinky’s Day Nursery is a real second home for my daughter. There we found love, care and protection. I love the environment, facilities and most of all, the teachers who have shown great care for my little girl. My requirements and concerns have been always answered. I feel relaxed because I know my

So, so glad I found this nursery for my daughter. All the staff are amazing with her, and she calls her key workers her best friends. She is excited to go every day and has made many friends already. She develops and learns new things daily, and they really have a huge variety of activities for the
children to partake in. The food always smells amazing, and my daughter is now eating more healthy food that she would never have tried at home. So happy with this nursery, and I have no worries about leaving her there every day. The fact I can log in to the nursery camera at any time of the day to watch my daughter really is the icing on top of the cake.

I hold a BA(HONS) degree in Early Childhood Studies and have over 10 years of experience working in the Early Years sector. When I first graduated I began working in a nursery as a nursery practitioner and gradually worked my way up to become a manager. Throughout this journey, I have gained invaluable skills and knowledge from various professionals that I am proud to share with my staff team.


I am committed to providing a safe, fun and stimulating environment for all children in my setting. My dedicated staff team and I are passionate about sparking children's creativity, imagination and curiosity through carefully planned learning opportunities.
