My name is Mel, and I currently serve as the Deputy Manager and Wellbeing Lead at Monkey Puzzle Hither Green Day Care Nursery. My journey in childcare began when I earned my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education, which ignited my passion for Early Years education. I firmly believe in the importance of laying a strong foundation for a child's future during their earliest developmental stages, which inspired me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Years. For the past three years, I have been a proud member of the Monkey Puzzle family, where I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of childcare settings, including primary schools, nurseries, crèches, and as a nanny. Each of these experiences has enriched my understanding and approach to nurturing children's growth, helping me to set deep roots in this rewarding field.

As an individual with care experience, I understand the transformative influence of an empathetic and passionate practitioner on young children. I am wholeheartedly committed to delivering positive learning experiences and care for all children, particularly those who have encountered additional challenges. This commitment has driven me to qualify as a Level 3 SENCO, and I am dedicated to delivering inclusive provision.
