My son recently started this nursery after leaving another setting and my goodness, he has taken to it like a duck in water! Unlike his prior setting, he runs in so excited, he often doesn’t want to come home and when it’s his day off he actually asks to go in! The staff are incredible and the amount
of stimulation within the nursery for my child is amazing. They have already given him opportunities with outside agency’s that come in and give classes to the children and challenged him accordingly to his needs. I am always aware of what’s happened through the day and get fantastic updates throughout the day including pictures which always make me feel fantastic because you can see what a good day he is having! It is the best decision I made, any problems I’ve ever had within nurseries seem to be a non issue here and as of yet, despite being a very fussy mama, I have found no faults. Happy, safe, stimulating, full of love and laughter. Highly recommended from me as an old nursery worker!

My little boy has been going to Little Adventures since he turned one and has loved going! He’s been through different phases and the staff in both the baby room and the twos to threes have always thought of innovative and personalised ways to help him cope and come through them! It helps the mum guilt
tremendously knowing that your child loves spending time with his key workers, and he loves going four days a week! My favourite thing is the interactive app the nursery uses. I get to see what my little boy is doing, eating, learning and getting sent photos throughout the day is an added peek! Would definitely recommend it?

Jay

Jay Sparkle

Job Title: Nursery Development Manager

Joined: 2021

Hi, I’m Jay. I joined Little Adventures Nurseries in November 2021 as Nursery Development Manager.


I have been working in the Early Years sector since 2009. During this time, I have held various positions from Nursery Nurse to Area Manager overseeing 4 nurseries in the Southwest. My most recent job was as a manager of a 129-place nursery. I feel extremely fortunate to work in the Early Years as I know how important these years are for children. I completed my BA (Hons) in Early Years Education in 2017 and this has helped me further my own knowledge of how children learn and develop. I have a passion for ensuring that the teams are trained to a high standard to deliver the best quality care. I have a son of my own so understand how important it is to ensure that you choose the right setting for your children.


In my free time, I like nothing more than exploring with my little family and we absolutely love baking together, especially the tasting part.

Angelene Mccormack

Job Title: Head of Audits and Training

Joined: 2022

My name is Angelene and I have over 25 years’ experience working within the Early Years Sector. My main experience has been within Nursery settings where I have run busy, Baby Toddler and Pre-Schools rooms.


For the past 14 years, I have had Leadership and Management roles including managing a 100 place Ofsted Outstanding Nursery. My experience has enabled me to support, mentor and train staff. I have worked for Little Adventures Nurseries since June 2022. My role is to develop staff training, this is implemented through e-learning modules, company-wide inset days, in-house training for individual settings and specialist training days at our designated Training Hub. I have also obtained my First Aid Instructor qualification so I can ensure all our staff are paediatric first aid trained and confident to administer first aid.


My role also includes visiting each nursery at least bi-annually to complete Quality Audits against our company policies and values as well as the Ofsted Grade Descriptors. This part of my role is invaluable face-to-face training to our teams as well as giving quality assurance to our families that our nurseries are sustaining the highest quality of care and standards.
