Acorn Day Nursery at Hedgerows offers quality day care for up to 48 children aged from 4 months to 4 years old. The nursery is conveniently located in Netherfield.

The nursery's friendly and experienced team pride themselves on creating an environment that is welcoming for both children and their families, inclusive, and engaging, giving children the best preparation for their early years education.

There are purposeful environments set up for children of different ages. The Acorns and Squirrels Room welcomes children aged up to two years and offers spacious playing areas, a secure garden, and quiet areas for when down time is needed. The Oaks room is set up for children aged 3 & 4 to play, learn and explore, also offering quiet areas for children to use, as well as a spacious garden.

The nursery runs Forest School sessions, giving children the chance to explore the natural environment in a fun and creative way and they also organise regular trips out.

Funding & Fees Guide for Acorn Day Nursery (Hedgerows)

  • Full time place starting from £1,300
    Full day from £68.00
    Morning session from £40
    Afternoon session from £35.50

  • Fees are inclusive of all meals, snacks, drinks (including approved formula milk), nappies and activities.
    We do not charge registration fees, only a £100 deposit which is refunded against the first month’s fees. We don’t charge for settling in sessions, but we do expect payment for all nursery fees to be paid up front at the beginning of each month, which is standard practice for all childcare providers. We do not charge for bank holidays, our four training days each year, or for the three days closure between Christmas and New Year. We do, however, charge for days children don’t attend through illness or holidays, apart from exceptional circumstances.

Administration and teachers have good reception, they are patient, open up to communication with parents and support to both children and parents is very welcoming. I do appreciate their dedication to work helping kids and most importantly giving feedback to parents. Happy with their service.

My daughter is always excited to go to school. As parents, we knew deep within that this was the right place to put our children.
The sense of family in this place saturates the whole atmosphere.
We have so much Peace knowing our children go to this nursery, many thanks to the teachers and administrators
who do everything they can to make this place very Loving and caring for our precious children!

My son has been at Acorns Hedgerow since September and they have been amazing! His confidence has grown, he leaves me with a smile instead of tears and comes home in the best mood. They have listened to what I wanted my son to gain from nursery and are helping me achieve this, every visit he has progressed
in some way. I couldn’t recommend a better nursery, they are warm and welcoming, easy to communicate with and my experience with them is nothing but positive, thank you to all the staff there!

Excellent and welcoming staff and they treat the children with absolute care. Lots of space and toys to play with, the environment is super clean as well and all the staff greets and responds to all your queries with a genuine smile on their faces. I’ll recommend the nursery to any parent.

I wish I could give a rating higher than 5 stars honestly.
Everything they do is intentional, friendly, and creative. My daughter settled in from day 1 and looks forward to school the next day.
Information is seamlessly communicated and support is offered when needed.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at the nursery. They are doing an amazing job. My daughter loves to go there, making friends and playing. Thank you to all staff for being lovely and caring, helping with potty training and support when she is upset.

The best way I could describe the nursery is a home away from home. The team are just fantastic, the care and attention my child gets is more than I could ever hope for. I feel like they take real interest into his personality (what he likes doing, what he doesn’t) with such enthusiasm and encouragement.
I honestly couldn’t be happier, I know that when I drop him off that he will be looked after and engaged with.

Very good nursery. My child has improved a lot more since one of the staff members has been there, understands things a lot more and starting to eat which he never would whatsoever. Always doing different activities for the children, forest school is really good also, would definitely recommend this

I can't say any negatives regarding the nursery. All the staff are lovely, patient and caring; they do their best for my son even though he can be difficult at times. They have nice healthy food, and they do so many activities with and for the children.
It's a great place to take your kids. My son
loves every minute he is there.

Hedgerow nursery has filled me with such confidence that they look after my boy with the highest standards. Our child is 14 months old and has recently started in the Acorn group. Our key worker has really helped him develop his skills in socialising and communication and has pushed him to eat more
which was our biggest concern. The nursery is very clean and highly equipped to keep the children entertained. The app is very reassuring to keep you updated on the little ones during the day. Thank you to all the staff for the hard work you d; keep up the good work!

Absolutely fantastic Nursery. My son has been coming here for the past year, he loves it soo much. My daughter was at the nursery two years before him and it is mostly the same staff, albeit new faces. All I can say is the staff are brilliant. It’s not easy to leave your child in the care of anyone
to go to work: but I have full confidence in them as they are just soo lovely and good at their job; as well as being so involved and provide the best experience for him. They keep me updated on everything he is doing and have a great routine in place; Aswell as pictures and updates on all that he has been doing while there. They have also been an integral part of getting him potty trained and fully out of nappies. Thank you for all you do!

My little boy joined Acorns in March and can only sing praises to all staff members. My child has developed new skills, and that is only thanks to the staff at Acorns.
Nurseries facilities are always clean and tidy, and their Health & Safety regalements satisfy me as a parent. Their food menu is over
the charts - the variety of meals and snacks is impressive.
Bonus to the amazing service is the app for the individual child where parents can monitor their child's activities and routine - that helps to be up to date with everything.
I highly recommend this nursery to everyone who wants to send their child to Acorns at Hedgerows.

Amazing nursery! Really good with my kid especially when they were first settling in and got upset. Lovely staff as well! Very helpful and they are very reassuring. I get updated on how my kids progressing all the time and they have so many good resources and a range of things for the children to do

My daughter was attending another nursery and she was extremely unsettled so I decided to take her out and send her to Acorn at Hedgerows instead. Everyone at Hedgerows was so lovely and incredibly supportive to my daughter and she settled straight away. I highly recommend this nursery to everyone who
wants a calm and homely feel environment for their child. Thank you ever so much.
