Tenderlinks is open all year round and offer full and part time places Monday to Friday from 7.30-6.00pm.

The team at Tenderlinks Day Nursery are passionate about early years, inspiring children to be the 'thinkers & doers' of the future. With the delivery of an incredible approach which inspires children through curiosity, awe and wonder. Through the Curiosity Approach, children learn through the use of authentic resources, recycled materials and loose parts. A mindful and passionate team look to create amazing learning and play spaces for children, where they have the opportunity to become inquisitive capable learners.

Tenderlinks’ priority is to make sure all the children are educationally stimulated, healthy, safe and happy. The nursery celebrates and respects the uniqueness, individual needs, dignity and independence of each and every one of the children.

Children are provided with access to the full Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) following the Curiosity Approach ethos, ready for smooth transition into state or independent primary schools.

Funding & Fees Guide for Tenderlinks Day Nursery - Elstead

  • Full Day - £95 Under 2's | £93 Toddlers (2-3yrs) | £91 Preschool (3-4yrs)


    We offer FEET funding, working parents funding entitlement and universal 3-4 year old funding.

  • i. Full day attendance is from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
    ii. Non-refundable registration fee of £150.00 is payable upon securing a place
    iii. Settling-in payment of £80 is charged for 3 sessions
    iv. Fees include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, milk, snacks and extra curricular activities
    v. Fees are fully payable during the nursery closure period, inset days, bank
    holidays, and on days your child is absent
    vi. Fees are payable monthly by the 25th day of each month. Payments can be
    made by direct debit, standing order, child tax credit, or childcare vouchers
    vii. At least one calendar months’ notice will be given before any revision of fees
    viii. FEET, Working parents and Universal 15-hour free childcare (under 2's 2, 3, 4-year-olds) and 30-hour free childcare

Tenderlinks is just wonderful, and our daughter loves her time here. The staff are very communicative via the app with developmental updates and photos etc, and go above and beyond to provide the best care, in a fun and nurturing environment. Suzie Songtime has been a big hit with our daughter! There
is easy access to the garden where the children play every day. The nursery's setting is very quiet, bright and airy. The nursery is small, and so the different age groups often interact which is lovely to see. We couldn't be happier with the care provided by the lovely staff.

Tenderlinks Elstead is such a gorgeous nursery. It's a warm, friendly and welcoming environment with a real community feel, we're so lucky to have it in the village. My son really enjoys going in - lots of creative activities, messy play, sports, music and the curiosity approach is great. The group
sizes are small and there's a lot of communication between staff and parents.

Wonderful nursery in the perfect setting where they can wander into the garden as they please. The members of staff are very warm, kind and adored by all the children, two staff members in particular are wonderful with the baby Hedgehogs. The kids go on trips to the nearby park and cafe and always get
time outdoors rain or shine. Small nursery which has a family feel. Wonderful that the babies and children all play together and learn from one another. The nursery manager and deputy are very professional, responsive and arrange parties, nativity, parents evenings throughout the year. It is a truly lovely nursery, thank you, Tenderlinks!

Since the day my little girl started nursery I have felt reassured she is being looked after with love. I love the small nursery vibe and my little girl loves all the staff and is so happy going into nursery. She has learnt so much since being at nursery and I'm always pleased to see photos and daily
diary inputs on what they have done that day. The communication between staff and myself is very efficient relieving my anxieties some more. The staff are always really helpful and I am so glad we chose Tenderlinks as our nursery.

We moved our youngest from a different Tenderlinks to Elstead and were quite nervous about the change but we couldn't be any happier. Our son has settled in quickly, made lovely friends and considers his teachers as friends too. Now he is sad if he is not going into nursery (only one day!). The staff
are wonderful and you can tell that they and the manager care about the children and not just do 'a job'. Communication, pictures and video posts on an app keep parents up to date with the nursery day which is brilliant too. The nursery also offers things like football, forest school and Suzy Song time. We already had a Halloween and Christmas party in the short time we attend and can really say that we highly recommend this lovely little nursery.

Elstead Tenderlinks is truly a home from home for our little boy. He has been attending for just under a year and absolutely loves going. The staff are incredibly nurturing, kind and importantly, fun! I have no doubts that I am leaving him in a safe and supportive environment, where they really get

My daughter started in September and I was so worried about how quickly she would settle. Staff have been excellent and it didn't take longer than 2 days for her to happily say goodbye and run in to play with her friends. I am very happy with the childcare my daughter receives and the staff are approachable
when I need to ask anything. The ladies genuinely care about the children they look after and this is lovely to see.

The nursery is the closest thing you could find to a home. The setting is cosy with toys, soft furnishings, gentle lighting and lots of inspiring decorations and knick-knacks that you'd find around that home - and the children are encouraged to explore, invent games, and have lots of fun.
In addition,
they go to the playground, for walks, play out on the field - which is so different to so many nurseries where children are confined within the same space for 10 hours.
The garden leads straight off the room so the children get lots of fresh air, running in and out.
The nursery has all ages together, so the older ones can be found gently playing with the toddlers and teaching them games, and the little ones have older children to copy and watch. Just like a family.
The staff are amazing - genuinely caring for the children in their care. And they are consistent - no one leaves because it's clearly a lovely place to work.

Tenderlinks Elstead is a gorgeous little village nursery. Despite our daughter being just three, this is the third nursery she's been to in her little life but it's by far her favourite, and she vocalises this to us a lot. The team are caring and nurturing and gets to know the children more than any
other settings we've experienced. This is evident in their reports which go into lots of detail. This is in contrast to some other nurseries where you feel like you could be reading about any child.

My three children have attended Tenderlinks Day Nursery in Milford and now Elstead over the past 6 years until now. I have always felt so comfortable leaving them in this lovely environment where they are cared for and learn so much with so many fun activities! All the staff are wonderful, caring,
give lots of updates, listen to any concerns and build lovely bonds with the children. I can not recommend them enough!

Our daughter really enjoys herself at Tenderlinks and is very fond of the staff/children here. She was very quick to settle in and staff are kind/encouraging/attentive. We get very regular updates and photos of what the children are up to and they always look like they are having lots of fun!

I am so glad I chose this nursery for my son. You can clearly see every member of staff really cares for the children. It is a small nursery so all the team know your child. Hello, I am Amanda the manager at Tenderlinks Nursery in Elstead. I have 27 years of nursery experience including 20 years of management. I am NVQ and Montessori trained and had experience teaching and managing in private nurseries as well as in an independent school as Head of Years and Nursery manager giving me a wealth of experience to ensure your child has a fantastic experience whilst in our care.


My amazing team is fully committed to working with children and providing a loving and nurturing nursery, I truly believe that children learn best when we follow their interests and teach in the moment offering exciting invitations to learn using as many natural resources and loose parts as we can.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my children and four grandchildren along with my husband and springer spaniel 'Willow' who loves to find the wettest and muddiest puddles she can!
