Housed in the iconic Hyde Institute, which once served as a library to the Barnet community, the Hyde Nursery is an Ofsted-registered 88-place Nursery, new for 2022, and ideal for those who live and work in Barnet.

The Nursery is the tenth setting for CC Nurseries Group, who provide quality care and early childhood experiences to over 800 families across England and Scotland.

Led by a passionate team and located minutes from the high street, the Nursery features a garden room with free-flow access to outdoors, as well as bespoke atelier to encourage creativity. The Hyde has been renovated to the highest spec, while still keeping the original features of the historic building.

The Nursery is minutes from green open spaces, and a love of the outdoors and natural resources is echoed throughout. Each age-appropriate room has been designed with the child in mind and filled with hand-picked resources designed to spark curiosity and imagination.

Nutritious meals will be provided by the experts at The Professional Nursery Kitchen.

We couldn't be happier with The Hyde. It's a wonderful nursery with such caring and dedicated staff. Both my daughter and son attended Hyde and the care they received has been incredible. They have brilliant facilities including outdoor space and they plan engaging activities across the day, including
trips. The staff go above and beyond to make every day fun and exciting. I would highly recommend this nursery!

Hyde Nursery Barnet has been a fantastic choice for our child! The staff are knowledgeable, nurturing, and truly caring. The environment is cheerful and welcoming, with a well-rounded curriculum that mixes play and learning perfectly. The communication with parents is great, keeping us involved with
our child’s daily activities and progress. We feel secure knowing our child is growing in confidence and skills in such a supportive setting. Highly recommended for any parent looking for a nurturing place for their child’s early learning.

We have had our little one there for 7 months since he was 7 months old. He is absolutely thriving. The facilities are wonderful and the staff are super friendly and caring. Our son beams with joy every day going in and seems super relaxed there. Would certainly recommend.

It's so important to have a nursery that you can trust and communicate with. At Hyde above all, they were willing to listen and support. I would like to see the nursery build up, not only for them but firstly for the local community. It's so important to have nurseries that you can trust.

My son started in the Hyde's baby room at the start of this month (December 2023). From the beginning of his settling in, which began two weeks before, the team at the Hyde have been brilliant. They were all incredibly reassuring and patient and ensured my son had all the extra attention and comfort
he needed to become fully comfortable in the setting. In just the first few weeks, his confidence has grown so much thanks to the room team's encouragement and approach, and seeing the amazing daily updates - complete with a rundown of all activities and lots of brilliant pictures - shows just how much he's enjoying himself and learning.
I've been really impressed by the team's attitude and passion; they bring 100% to every day, and that's so beneficial for the babies (and parents). Choosing a nursery for your little one is a minefield with so many things to consider, but I'm so happy we picked the Hyde.

Our daughter joined The Hyde in January 2023 when she was 11 months old. She loves the nursery and the staff and is excited to go every morning, we don't get a look in once she has entered the nursery in the morning. The staff have managed to get her to do things we have struggled with such as doing
her hair and she has developed so much. The babies have a fun-packed day full of different activities and different forms of play. The nursery keeps us up to date on the activities, what she has eaten and when she has slept. We couldn’t ask for any more for our daughter.


We would certainly recommend it. Our thanks go to the Manager and her team for their continued hard work and for looking after our daughter.

Our baby girl joined The Hyde in January 2023 when she was nearly 11 months old. She absolutely loves going to the nursery. The staff are brilliant with the babies and keep them safe and entertained all day long. They do a range of activities each day and provide parents with lots of pictures which
is lovely to see. It is a lovely environment and we’re really happy we chose The Hyde for our baby. We would certainly recommend it. Our thanks go to the Manager and her team.

Having a child with additional needs means I was always apprehensive about where I left him, but every day I drop him off without a single worry, knowing how caring and supportive The Hyde is. It's my son's home from home. The staff genuinely listen to me, to make sure he receives the same care at the
nursery that he does at home. The staff are all making such a huge difference in my autistic son's development. At drop off, staff always seem so happy to see the children, it's obvious to me how much they care. It makes me feel at ease, and so happy to know that the nursery are putting in place the recommendations from SENDCO. No ask is too much. I cannot recommend The Hyde highly enough, the manager is the kindest and most supportive childcare professional I have come across.

My daughter started at Hyde Nursery in September. I can honestly say that she loves going there and every morning she claps and smiles when we get to the door. Every week they plan lots of activities, including baby sensory classes, trips to the park and much more. The team have been great and I'm sure
she will continue to thrive there for years to come.

From a very young age, it was always clear that I would follow a career path in the childcare sector due to my passion for providing children with the best possible start in life.


I strive to provide our children with outstanding opportunities to experience the awe and wonder of the world that we live in.


I pride myself in being committed to providing the best possible quality of care, learning and experiences for all of our staff and children here at The Hyde.
