The nursery was fully renovated in 2021 and now offers children a space purposefully designed to spark their imagination and curiosity as well as encouraging them to feel safe and at home. The team adopt a child-centred approach, allowing children to take control of their own experiences and enjoy learning at their own pace. A fantastic nursery - Highly recommend! We couldn't be happier with The Old School House. Our daughter has absolutely thrived since joining - her confidence has grown so much, and she comes home chatting about all the fun things she's done each day. The staff are amazing, so warm and caring, and they
really take the time to get to know each child. One thing we love is how well they eat! The food is always fresh and nutritious, and it's great to see our little one trying new things and enjoying mealtimes. We've been so impressed that we're already planning to send our next child here too. A big thank you to the whole team for creating such a lovely environment - we couldn't ask for more!

We would highly recommend The Old School House Nursery. Since starting last year, our little boy's development has come on leaps and bounds. Especially his speech and social skills. The staff are always very kind and take the time to talk to you. The meals and snacks are always very healthy and filling.
The resources in the room are all age-appropriate and kept in very good condition. Our little boy comes home from nursery with a big smile on his face telling us the activities he has done that day.

A warm, welcoming, nurturing environment the moment I stepped into the nursery with my son. A beautiful nursery with staff who go above and beyond to look after my son. They have allowed my son to reach all of his developmental milestones through the most imaginative and creative activities that my
son absolutely loves to be involved in. The staff have supported not only my son but myself in feeling safe and secure in leaving my son for the day, providing me with regular updates throughout the day. No words will ever be able to thank all the staff at The Old School House Nursery Walmley for giving my son the best start to his learning. You are all absolutely wonderful and should be proud of the team you have built together.

My 1-year-old daughter started at nursery with some easing in sessions, of which the staff were very helpful and accommodating, with always what was best for my daughter in mind. All of the staff are incredibly professional and amazingly patient. After a month of being at nursery, my daughter has formed
a great bond with the staff, especially her key person and is really starting to show her development not just at home but at nursery too. The environment for the children to play in is also very good with a range of toys, sensory tools, etc. which also seems to be rotated frequently to keep all the children happy. I really appreciate and enjoy the time taken by the staff to post messages and posts via the app to let me know how my daughter is doing and what she has eaten throughout the day, each message and post is personalised and makes my day to see. Thank you to all the amazing staff!

Amazing nursery! We went to an open day in April 2024 and were told our daughter got free hours and could start within the next two months. The staff are all so welcoming and supportive. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My daughter asks every day if she can go to nursery and always asks for two staff
members in particular. The activities the nursery provides are great for my daughter, she comes home and shows me her yoga and wants to help with cooking. She has come so far since joining The Old School House in Walmley. You're all great. Thank you for everything you do for my daughter.

Such a lovely nursery! My daughter has been coming here now for nearly 2 months and the staff are amazing. Such nice resources, environment and the meals are good too. My daughter always has a great day when coming to this nursery and has settled in here very well. Would definitely recommend this setting,
I feel at ease leaving my daughter in their care and she is very well looked after.

Since my little one has started in June 2024 I could not be happier with this nursery. All the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They take time to explain things and listen to anything you have to report about your little one. My child has made excellent bonds with the staff
as they are so caring and warm towards the children. The environment is always clean and the resources the children use are well looked after. They have a wide range of activities and toys available for the children and follow their lead with learning and playing. My child loves being at nursery and always comes out with a smile!

We're so happy we chose The Old School House! It was so daunting looking around the local nurseries and making a decision but for us, this nursery stood out from the rest and it really hasn't disappointed, only exceeded our expectations. The manager is so welcoming and helpful, and the team here are
great and just so caring. Our son has been going since he was 10 months old, we've been so impressed with the activities, stay-and-play events and the nice little touches the nursery put on for the parents as well. The app they communicate with you on is amazing, so easy to use and check in on your child throughout the day whilst they are at nursery, it really gives you peace of mind. We get progress updates on our son and they really are a joy to read and hear all about how well he is learning and developing. All thanks to the wonderful team at The Old School House.

I cannot fault the service and care provided to us by The Old School House Walmley. As an educator myself, I was very particular about where I would send my child. Their approach to learning not only fosters independence but creates a calm environment that I felt comfortable sending my child to when
he started at just 10 months old. They really use the children's interests to further their learning and I have been so impressed at how my child has developed through song since being there.

It is really important to us and the approach we use to make sure that we know our children and how they learn to allow them to achieve as they grow. I really recommend the Old School House Walmley. The staff are really friendly and passionate about their job. I believe that the knowledgeable staff and the extracurricular activities, really helped my daughters advance much more than many of their peers outside of nursery. My eldest daughter attended
the nursery from when it opened and graduated in September. Her experiences have really given her a head start at school to the point where she's one of the top performers in her class. My youngest daughter still attends the nursery and has recently moved up to Badgers (pre-school) and loves the new environment and the staff team. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

We are extremely happy with the progress and development our child continues to show and the constant communication between the staff and ourselves is exceptional. The Old School House was the first nursery we viewed, and quite frankly all the others just didn’t compare and knew this was where we wanted to send our son. The staff made the transition to first leaving our child as smooth as possible and understood it was an emotional time for the parents. The staff
are second to none and we feel so happy with our son being there. The nursery has played such a huge role in our son’s development. We are comforted by the updates we receive via the portal which allows us to see how he is getting on and we appreciate and look forward to the reports and observations we receive on him. The staff have such a personal touch and we know that our son has such a wonderful day when he attends nursery. We can’t wait to watch him grow and develop further at The Old School House.

By far above and beyond expectations. The Walmley team are phenomenal.
The attention to detail not only throughout the nursery and nursery rooms but also for the 1:1 support for each child is exceptional accompanied by motivated and friendly staff just makes it outstanding.

We moved our son here from another local nursery as I fell in love with the activities and setting. My son is thriving and happy. They offer two healthy cooked meals per day as well as breakfast and snacks and include nappies too. It’s brilliant value for money. The activities are engaging and the staff
are fully focussed on playing with the children. His speech has also improved. I am so happy we made the move!

Our daughter has only been at the Old School House for two months but she's already so settled and so happy in her nursery environment. We are confident she is cared for, well fed, well cleaned, engaged and educated. The staff have been nothing but reassuring and they always have a smile on their face,
despite having physically-demanding jobs. Our daughter has formed some really nice bonds with several members of staff and we genuinely believe she is really enjoying her days at nursery. We are very impressed with all the communication from the nursery, ranging from upcoming events to the day-to-day goings on with our daughter, including nappy changes, food eaten and activities enjoyed.

Little boy has been here since he was 10 months old, he easily settled and loved his room team, moving up rooms was a smooth transition.

Our boy has attended The Old School House since he was 18 months old, he’s now nearly 3 and I could never dream of sending him elsewhere!
The staff have the most beautiful and kindest of hearts and treat our son as if they were their own, he comes out ranting and raving about what he’s done his friends
his teachers as he calls them! Our son didn’t speak when he went to the nursery which as a parent was very concerning, the staff were quick to adapt to his needs, and now he’s never quiet talking away! And I have always said I believe this is the nursery bringing out the best in him! I would love to thank you all so much and also can’t wait for his last year with you as a nursery, then I’ll be putting my twins in with you! Thank you!

Our daughter has been extremely happy since joining The Old School House. The staff our polite and accommodating and our baby seems super content at drop off and pick up times. There is a great variety of food and activities for our children to enjoy. I’m really excited for the extracurricular activities
our daughter will be able to enjoy as she gets older. The app is such a lovely way to communicate with the nursery staff and monitor your child’s daily routine and overall development (through observations) I would recommend The Old School House to any parent.

My son has attended the old school house nursery since he turned one. After never leaving my son alone with anyone this was a massive step. The staff made me feel comfortable and would update me on my son's day which made it easier. Since starting nursery my son has come on leaps and bounds. The staff
are amazing at what they do and always go above and beyond to support me. I had worries about my son's speech and I expressed this to his key worker who sat down with my son to help him progress and in weeks he was saying more words. He has now moved up and is learning to count he knows colours and is starting to put words together. I can’t express how much I love the old school house and the members of staff and how amazing they are with my little one.
I would highly recommend The Old School House!
