The nursery was fully renovated in 2021 and now offers children a space purposefully designed to spark their imagination and curiosity as well as encouraging them to feel safe and at home. The team adopt a child-centred approach, allowing children to take control of their own experiences and enjoy learning at their own pace. With the careful guidance of the team, children are free to play and explore in a way that suits them.

Fantastic nursery! Staff are really helpful and have noticed improvements in my child’s development over the course of the last three months. Facilities are up to date and my child looks forward to going each week!

All the team are amazing! They are friendly, welcoming and can’t do enough for you and your little one. They pick up on every little detail about your baby and they make you feel so relaxed knowing your baby is in the best hands. The nursery itself is beautiful and always clean! The food is fantastic,
a great range of variety for the little ones taste buds to explore. I really didn’t want to leave my baby but the team really eased that pain, I know my baby is safe and always happy when there and I will be forever grateful to all the team for taking the best care of our little one. I would highly recommend to anybody. I always get the sense this isn’t just a job to them - they genuinely love and care for your baby and always have their best interests at heart. They keep you updated with the app which is brilliant and will call when necessary - or even if you as a parent just need some reassurance they always make sure they take the time to do this. Thank you for all that you do!

My daughter started in October with settling in sessions, to start in November. She loves going to nursery and is always happy to see all members of staff. She has developed so much over the last 8 months, far more than I had expected and that is down to the caring, nurturing environment that is provided
here. She is now 18 months old and her personality and ability to communicate with adults is amazing. We're always aware if any events are happening at the nursery, the petting event of small animals was lovely. The children are able to go out in the garden and do loads of activities, which is great. If anything concerning her has happened during the day we're always informed.
I have mobility issues and the nursery have gone above and beyond to accommodate in helping my daughter and myself, with access into the building and getting her in and out safely.
There is so much more I can say, but all in all - it is a great nursery and I'm glad we chose this one. We know she will thrive here

The nursery staff did wonders getting my baby boy integrated into their setting and did just as well settling me down into my son being in this kind of environment too. Their use of the app allows us constant updates and helps us track our little ones eating and health updates. My shy little boy has
come on leaps and bounds in the short time he has been at nursery and I’ve every faith this is the perfect place to help him develop happily!

My little boy has been attending The Old Schoolhouse House Nursery in Walmley since the end of January and since then he has come along leaps and bounds. He settled quickly and loves all of the girls there and has a big smile on his face whenever we arrive and leave. He’s tried so many new foods and
has a really good daily routine. He naps well after lunch as they close the curtains and put relaxing sounds on. I went one lunch to pick him up and all of the little ones are sound asleep. All of the staff are fantastic and have given me advice on things such as teeth brushing and they have drop-in sessions for help on things such as potty training. The garden area is beautiful and they are always doing different indoor and outdoor activities that we get updates and pictures of. I’ve been to some parent and child stay and plays, they even had one where they have petting animals which was lovely. We are really happy with how well our 21-month-old son gets on there and would highly recommend it.

Fantastic nursery with exceptionally caring staff. At all points of our child’s development stages or phases of transition, they have gone above and beyond in supporting us as parents, along with our child.
Having taken the difficult decision to uproot and move our child to the nursery twelve months
ago, due to an ongoing poor experience at another nursery, we have been continually reassured that it was the right decision.

The nursery is fantastic in all areas. From the day we walked around to today, the nursery and the staff working there are truly amazing.
Our little boy started just before he was 1. The staff couldn’t do enough to make him feel welcome and settled. Regular updates through the app give real peace of
mind as you almost feel as though you are there with them.
The staff are very vibrant, energetic and flexible to meet all needs and levels of engagement the children have there.
The food is varied, very healthy with lots of alternative choices for the children to ensure they eat at every meal.
Our little boy is now nearly 2. He loves nursery, has a great routine and has excelled in lots of progression with speech, movement and other areas and we give huge credit to the nursery for these improvements.
We are so very pleased with all aspects of the nursery and would have no issues recommending it to anyone who wants a great, fun and safe environment for their children to experience.

My daughter started The Old School House Nursery (Walmley) in January 2023 at 11 months old. We have watched our daughter go from strength to strength and flourish under their supervision. The learning and curriculum are second to none, the staff are outstanding and the care and attention to detail
they show are excellent. My daughter's key worker has been excellent and attentive, the manager and all staff know my daughter and always make me feel welcome and her special. The extra sessions they put on, such as the stay and plays, are beautiful and thoughtful. From Mother’s Day afternoon teas to ducks, chicks, rabbits and guinea pig snuggles. The coffee machine for drop off and pick up is an extra thoughtful touch that echos the ethos of the whole nursery.
I would highly recommend the nursery and encourage a visit. As soon as you walk through those doors it feels homely and safe.

We can’t rate The Old School House highly enough. Our daughter has been so happy here and has made incredible progress both academically and socially. Her needs have been met faultlessly by the nursery staff and the environment they have created for the children who attend is wonderful.
The additional
extracurricular activities are well-considered and varied, French and football being particular highlights.

My daughter has been attending Nursery here since she turned 1. The first few weeks were tough as she had not been well and struggled to settle, however since then she has flourished here and it is down to the amazing staff and facilities. I can’t recommend this nursery enough, they really do care about
the children and it shows. I love the daily updates I get from staff when I pick her up, and the regular photos and updates on her development via the app are fantastic. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience and would recommend to anyone.

We initially decided to send our daughter to a childminder, who we already knew but as she grew older we realised that she would likely gain much more from attending a nursery, where she would interact more with other children, have the opportunity to engage in more activities targeted at her age and
get used to a daily routine. Having visited several nurseries, we chose The Old School House and we are more than glad that we did. From the outset staff have been adaptable and responsive to our daughter's specific needs, putting in place a support plan to ensure that she can communicate, partake in activities and learn. It has been nice to watch the relationship build between our daughter and her key worker and the impact this has had on her confidence and ability to complete tasks. We are able to check on our daughter during the day and always receive a timely response. We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone considering somewhere for their child.

Our son turned three in July and started in Badgers in September. Initially, he was upset being dropped off as he hasn't left us before, especially due to Covid-19. However, within days he had settled well and made some friends. This is all down to the teachers in his class making him feel welcome and
loved. He talks about his teachers every day and now looks forward to going. Activities vary each day, the nursery app is excellent in being able to keep contact with the nursery during his day. It's easy to check to see how he is doing as observations are made regularly and communicated to us. The food choice is brilliant and a healthy range, this is also recorded daily on the app, with updates on how much he is eaten. The nursery staff are always available to assist and take really good care of our little boy. The nursery is very well maintained with plenty of space both indoors and out. We are thoroughly pleased with his progress and the choice to send him here. Highly recommended!

We visited the nursery before it opened and we instantly got a good feeling about the nursery compared to other nurseries we had visited. Since the day our son started at nursery, he's come on leaps and bounds all thanks to the amazing team at Old School House Walmley. The girls are always so friendly
and welcoming and they do some lovely activities for the children. They put great effort into their observations which we love reading every week. They are very good at updating the parents' app throughout the day. We're looking forward to our son progressing through the other rooms within the nursery with the amazing staff at The Old School House Walmley. Thank you all.

I could not be happier with the care provided to my son since joining The Old School House, Walmley. He has developed so much and you get a real sense that the nursery individualises their care to meet the needs of each child. The settling-in period was such a smooth transition, everything was so efficient
and transparent. They have very effective communication, also responding to queries, offering you reassurance and updating you on your child's progression and general nursery updates. You feel part of a community and cared for as a family. Every day they tell me my son has taken part in a full range of activities. Overall, the experience could not be more positive.

As a first-time mum, I was really nervous about putting my child in childcare and went to see a few different settings. Straight away, when visiting the Old School House nurseries, (both Middleton and Walmley) I got a great vibe and knew that's where I wanted him to go. The staff are all so friendly,
relatable, knowledgeable and approachable and have been great at answering my (many!) questions. The organisation is really well executed and the parents' app that they use to keep us updated with everything is brilliant and has everything you'd want it to. We can see minute by minute updates on his schedule, what he has been doing and eating, as well as regular observations on his wider educational, social and emotional development. His key worker, in particular, along with another member of staff, is just outstanding. The one area is the cost! It is pricey and has been hard for us but we get everything included (nappies and milk too!) so we think it's very fair. Would definitely recommend this amazing nursery.

Cannot fault The Old School House Walmley. They have brought the absolute best out in my daughter. She started off very shy and a very fussy eater and the effort and praise they have given her since she started, has given her a massive confidence boost and she is even up for trying new food! Always
a lovely welcome in the mornings. Constant updates throughout the day on their app to say what she's eaten and is up to. And then, always a quick handover when I pick her up to say what she's done through the day including suggestions of things to try at home. Would recommend this nursery to all!

Honestly, I could not ask for a better nursery for my son. Not only has he made some lovely friends he has made some wonderful relationships with the staff. Since joining the Old School House 1 year ago, his speech has come on significantly, he shares more with his brothers at home and he now loves
to ride his balance bike, which he learnt to do at nursery. I love that they do activities with the children! I recommend them to anyone!
